No, you thought wrong. The entire story will be rewritten. The overall plot may remain the same, but even the path along the way will be different. There are already seeds in the reworked v0.1 release that could grow to make significant differences.

Chapter 1 Rework is with Chapter 4 release. Ocean stated as much in one of his dev logs.

Oh ok, thats good that its with this one, not sure why i thought it was 5. I thought he was only reworking chapter 1 though i didnt know he was doing the whole game.
I thought it was just WIAB getting the full rework.

Long release times cause he is working on two games. He gets constant support and has stated he's improving his hardware. This is just the nature of the beast guys. If it gets too depressing just remember some games take over a year for an update (the deluca family) or promise updates but never deliver (milfy city).
Also he started working on the reworks for SG last update and he stated they should be finished by the time of Ch. 5 release. So everyone is like half right.

the dev is working on two of the highest quality games I've seen at the same time. its a miracle he can even release them at the times he does. he deserves all the support

As Ocean said himself, that working on 2 different games helps him to keep busy without burning out. Any time he gets stuck or tired or frustrated working on one of them, he can switch to working on the other one and switch back to the first any time he gets a good idea how to continue and feels like working on it again.
Makes sense, IMHO. Anyway, the same kind of strategy helps me at my work.

yeah im very confused, does anyone have a link or the post where he says all this? ive only ever seen that he is doing chapter 1 again and i always thought it was with chapter 5. im sure i read that on the game start up at one point but i either read it wrong or it changed. Maybe the chapter 5 part comes from another game and im getting the 2 confused but i definitely never heard that he was doing the whole game again.What? No! Think it was in one of the dev logs - don't have a link for you, but my recollection is that he's basically re-mastering the earlier chapters because the renders are just honestly trash compared to the later chapters and Ocean wants them to be similar in quality by Ch5 because he's going to release on Steam at that point.
I tend to go back to the earlier Amber renders as an example. You look at the renders of Amber the first time MC goes to Bella's house after school and then look at the renders of her in the green dress in like Ch3 or whatever it was - I mean holy fuck it's like a different person and universe altogether. And the environments in the earlier chapter were very simple, etc. so he just wants to get the quality evened out across the story - I don't think he's changing anything beyond that. Maybe chapter 1 might get a little more layout in terms of story detail, but I'm not aware of anything major changing.
It was originally meant to have the Ch1 steam rework ready by Chapter 5. As I am only working on the rework/polishing for a 2-3 weeks time window after a release.
But I was faster than I expected and now it will already be finished after the Chapter 4 Beta release and be released with Chapter 4.
Chapter 2 only gets some visual tweaks in the College area/basketball. And that's it. (This will then be done by Chapter 5.)
Chapter 3 won't be touched and I won't be looking back besides adding music over the course of the game.
So calling it a rework is wrong, as the art of Ch1 and Ch2 is being polished for the Steam release. (You can expect dialogue changes and a few more events/scenes in Chapter 1 to increase immersion.)

now that makes sense in why i had 5 in mind, maybe it said by 5 and i remember it as with 5. I do remember differences with her in earlier chapters and later ones so it makes sense that he wants to do that. hopefully it will shut people up on why it took a while to get the update out too.

...Hey wait a second. Did the dev even confirm if this new chapter will have a sex scene? ANY kind of sex? If not, brother, will people get pissed by the blue-balls. My God, we were so worried if we COULD have chapter 4 we never stopped to think if we SHOULD!

Dude, this site has so many games that include sexual content. You want sex scenes? pick one of those. This one focuses on storytelling with adult elements. No mindless porn logic. It´s gonna happen when it´s appropriate. just let it happen naturally.

and has a big ass sign at the start of the game saying that there is no sex scenes yet.
if people then get this new update and get pissed the only thing they should be pissed at is their own stupidity for not being able to read.
