6.5 gigs of nothing??!! f95zone clearly needs a new tag for not porn games. dick in hand and I got soft with the blah blah blah blah blah. I honestly thought my download was corrupt and I unzipped your game and checked the files after.
look like a duck swimming with all the other ducks. But is in fact a pigeon. This is NOT appropriate for f95zone.
The title should clearly state it's NOT a porn game. So I could have skipped like furries or gay. I have no issue with them
until they are in the straight section. Just like this game. You are on a porn game site. This is Not Okay to waste our time.
please put NOT A PORN GAME CLEARLY IN THE TITLE. I see people enjoy your game that's great! good for you man. seriously
glad others can enjoy your NOT a porn game. BUT PLEASE MAKE IT AS OBVIOUS as furry NTR gay. we can all see that at a glance. This was a HUGE disappointment. Great renders but again NOT a porn game. Let people Know your NOT a porn is on a porn website. Please Thank you. Good day.
go back to preschool you illiterate snowflake

Hope things lighten up for you so you can take a break soon -

Things are similar to how you remember - Ocean has two systems, one for each game (although he leveraged the SG box to finish up some stuff with WIAB for the recent WIAB update due to the SG machine being much more powerful), each work day he alternates which game he works on.

No specified release pattern, but I will say this latest SG update was a bit quicker than usual which was encouraging.

Appreciate the update, buddy!

And hey, busy is good when you're in sales, so I'm not going to complain too much :geek:

Sucks nothing changed though, I was really hoping things were gonna pick up, but eh, c'est la vie.

Maybe 2023's gonna be our year.

Thanks again.

Cheers

Good day ladies and gentleman!

You'll forgive me if this has been asked before, I'm working my ass off 7 days a week nowadays and I simply don't have the strength to scroll through hundreds of pages.

I'm curious about SG's and WIAB's further development - in what order and frequency can we expect updates, and is it going to be on a regular basis or when it's done it's done?

Last info I have is that 2 PC's are working on both games simultaneously and there was no release pattern(s).

I'm a huge fan of Ocean's work, SG is the best thing on this whole website if you ask me, so I'd really like to support his work, however, I want to know there's going to be progress rather than endless reworks which is the only reason why I ended up supporting other developers in the past instead.

I think I had a similar "rant post" when EP 4.0 was released, so I'm trying to see if things changed over the course of the year.

I'm not trying to hate/shame here, Ocean has every right to do what they want with THEIR game, but if I'm down to support a project, I want to see some progress - which is in my own right you'll all agree I'm sure.

Anyhow, by the time I typed all this I could've looked for the answer to the question I have (lol!) but I honestly didn't know I'll type a wall of text instead of a simple question.

Appreciate your time if you read this, and have a blessed day everyone!

Cheers
Within the time period of 3-4 weeks, Ocean will release CH 4.5 Full which will contain the first half of CH 2 reworked. Second half will have been done with Ch 5 Full. After this, no more reworks will come in place. Only new content with each following update.

Ch 5 is going on Steam, so we can expect a major bump in Ocean's level of financial support. Bad news is that next update will probably take a little longer, as it is said to be a big one. Moreover, Ocean intends to release WiAB Ch 3 first.

To sum it up, I'd not go under 6 months of development with my expectations, considering this update took about 3-4 months. Maybe I am being pessimistic though (I hope I am) and it will come out sooner. There is already a big improvement over the last year; Ocean managed to release 3 (!) updates in six months.

The future is uncertain... but I'd say it's leaning more towards the bright side at the moment. I'd suggest you to wait for Ch 5 and then support Ocean by buying the game on Steam if you want. I hope I at least partially answered your questions :)

Ocean has said updates for SG will be every 3-4 months going forward. Chapter 5 might be a little longer I guess though, as he's getting SG ready for Steam/GOG release but we can hope it will still be around 4 months. I was skeptical before subbing too like you, personally would like to see every 2-3 months for SG, but only if quality stays high and he doesn't burn himself out, wouldn't wanna see what I consider the best adult VN ruined with half assed or rushed story/cinematics/animations or other parts of the game either.

Hey, if you're wondering how things have changed, here's a brief retrospective from Ocean himself.

A man of iron willpower you are! I tried to postpone the game and failed miserably. Life is too short to remove USB safely and wait for Ocean to satiate his sense of perfection. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate how much he improves the game, but I can't deny that I eager to see how the story develops.
Sorry for the very late response, but yeah I am used to waiting when it comes to these things. It's definitely not easy, but hopefully the wait (and a wait it will definitely be) will be worth it.

I like what Ocean has done so far with the rework. Some of it has lost it's charm from the original, such as the MC's first interaction with Mila. (I preferred the original where it was just the two of them sharing a cigarette and talking) and also it's feeling a lot more light hearted and less somber in tone than the original, but the writing is piecing things together far more competently now, and the relationships are being established a lot better too. especially with Nami. Nami feels far more like an actual sibling to the MC than she did in the original which I really like.

Be interesting to see how it all pans out, I am willing to wait. Got plenty others to play in the meantime ;)

Well the story doesn't really change, just some of the dialogue and renders. But the rework will be done with ch5 so you don't have to wait that long :BootyTime:
Hmmm, I think there is enough change in the writing to say he is rewriting it, at least partially. I played the original before any reworking was done several times, and there are a lot of major differences in this rework. The story is being presented far differently now, and even the school's setting is completely different. A lot has been added, altered, changed and even removed. Nice to hear that it's all going to be wrapped up with the rework in Chapter 5 though, the wait won't be too long :D

Can't argue with that, especially the scene of the conversation with Mila, I also liked it in the original. Maybe it's just me, but in the previous version, it looked like Mila was making fun of the MC when she talked about the suicide of someone she used to know. Like it was a continuation of the trench-coat joke. Now, as she tells this story, she looks very serious about MC's state of mind and sincerely offers to help, but it makes the overall scene a little darker.

I've tried so hard these past few weeks to hold off on playing the latest update. I've told myself numerous times that the final version is gonna release soon, just wait a few more weeks...but I finally caved. I've gotta tip my hat to Ocean, especially with the visuals. He continues to be one of, if not the best in this industry in terms of visuals. You can tell that he spends a lot of time finetuning a lot of these scenes. The story is moving along at a nice pace as well. We're finally getting some backstory regarding ZPR, as well as a short snippet into Mila and Bella's middle school years. Ocean is also keeping his word regarding what routes you can be on. It's a breath of fresh air knowing that you can't be a man-whore and will face consequences if you do decide to go that route. I am curious as to what the root cause of MC's panic attacks is and how important they will be moving forward. I just feel so happy and wholesome after playing this update (It helps that MC's one true love returns). My only gripe is that I don't know if I can mentally handle another Bella cliffhanger. There have been like three up to this point and each one of them hurts all the same. Outside of that, I can't wait to see how this story will unfold.

I'm also a huge fan of Ocean as well, but with this type of games who knows if the game will be fully released or abandoned. So, patron and subscribe star is a no-no for me. But I do believe ocean will fully release this game maybe not in a year maybe not in 2 most probably 3 maybe even more (which is understandable CGs in this game are leagues better than the 5-minute crafted CGs of others). Though I supported H-games by buying the steam releases, they are few and far in between. I hope ImproperTattoo's info about CH5 release on steam will be true then (I can't multi-quote and idk why).

BUT if you would like to support the dev now I gave him $10 in his itch.io page, just hit download and you can decide how much to give him. I do believe this game will be fully released it's not a question of if, but when (unless something major happens in his life moving to a new house, job change, significant other etc. thus giving money to Indie VN game makers is a gamble).
