I'm sorry to tell you that I'm not often in this thread to know what you talk about in more than 1800 pages, the last I knew is that he did it to be able to sell it in German market because of the censorship there in steam, which was counterproductive because in future updates with more quantity and frequency of explicit content would have forced him to make practically 2 different games if he wanted to continue accessing certain markets.
If he finally explained the reasons and they were completely different and had to do with player expectations it makes more sense, but it's not the reason he originally gave.
Bro, I kind of understand that not everyone follows the game's news. I’m just explaining why there’s such an edgy reaction. This topic has been the subject of agruments and trolling for a long time.
On the other hand, then why are you making statements based on your ignorance of what is going on? Who told you about the other reasons the developer gave? It couldn't be him because he explained it even in the last year.
Who would complain more?
1.
Season 1 releases on Steam without 40% of the music as an Adult Game because you could see the MCs penis & one shot of a pussy. Include one animation of Nami and one animation of teasing with Vic. (Nami still lays in your arm & I replaced Vic's teasing with neck kissing. Which I think fits the relationship progression better.)
Around 0,001% of the game.
And now people see an Adult game and expect everything that Season 1 doesn't have. (We already see it in the MT)
Or

I remove very little content (Mostly cocks) from the game, keep all my music, and release Season 1 as Non-Adult. Season 1 isn't country-restricted and visible to everyone on Steam. People get the game and still get a lot of nudity, but went in there with the expectation to not see a fully pornographic scene. Still lots of boobies and asses... But exactly what they expected.
All they missed out on were some cocks, one pussy, and two small scenes of teasing.
To me, it's a no-brainer.
The only problem that has come to light now is that he underestimated how strictly Steam would treat even regular topless shots. Well, shit happens, I saw enough developers who underestimated the censorship on Steam and their games did not pass the review at all and were rejected. And now these games have an "Abandoned" mark. But everyone sees only the success of BaD.
As for future updates, yes, the second season will be presented as a separate entity on Steam, which is aimed at an adult audience from the very beginning, there will be no censored version. Well, at least these are the plans that the dev has published in dev logs.
EDIT:
Inb4: Haha, he said Season 1 will not be country-restricted but it is now. Haha, looser, lmao, rofl
