Why did I find it both disturbing and hot ?

1. There's no point in asking the guys, they don't decide anything. If Ocean decides to remake the game from the start, he'll remake it, whether the guys like it or not. (But if you're interested in knowing other people personal preferences, I'd like him to redesign some of the characters from the start. You're welcome.)

I don't see why it would be impossible. We know nothing about it, for all we know Ayua could be adopt, there is not a dialogue in the game that confirms her parents, only one that denies Katie as her mother because she refers to her as aunt. I agree that the more likely scenario is W + M = A but you have to grant that the game does not confirmes it.

You forgot Ayua's family dojo legacy, which clearly comes from her mother's family.

To be honest I really do think the simple thing is true, Ayua is William and Miru's. But is Ocean brings infuta Helen, all bets are off. Ayua might not be the trans character, but the futa one, and that's why she's a special case.

Okay, that would be an outstandingly DUMB bit of script writing, but I posted the precedent, we can't pretend Ocean hasn't thought through these options!



Well, I'm thinking Ayua is Miru and William's child. But then you have the monogamists saying they won't touch Miru with a barge pole - they're team Katie (or someone else less interesting) all the way, so either way Ocean's getting screwed trying to make people happy. Maybe Ayua is the result of Ocean getting screwed by the LI fandoms? That also makes as much sense.

Also, we have to wait until WiaB or SG gets an update to find out who exactly is still a Zane and what that all means. Or Ocean's changed his mind again.

Agreed that it's uncertain, but we might find out if Adrianna is Ayua's half/sister. We've seen previews that suggest that. There might be a cameo of Miru or William at the fighting studio on Sunday. I highly doubt Ocean will tease any of that kind of content. We'll also maybe know if all the people we thought were Zane's are still Zane's. Maybe I should redownload S1 off steam and see if there's any stealth script edits.

That's the downside of developing a sequel at the same time as an original game with branching choices - sooner or later he will have to commit to a canon path that a sizable amount of his audience will dislike. It's simply not possible to include all branching paths from WIAB in SG.

But as you say, what will that canon be? Harem, NTR, and monogamy fans will all want different, mutually exclusive conclusions with LI's to be canon in SG. Seems like the sooner Ocean commits to one and lets supporters either accept that decision or move on, the better the chance of SG having a cohesive continuity with WIAB.

Outta reacts today, but yes, I agree. The sooner Ocean gives some sense of clarity to a handful of these issues, the sooner people will come to terms with whatever the canon decisions are. By the same token, I'm glad he's making it awkward for himself and not spoiling the content by saying "oh btw, Miru xyzsgdjbjsg ijgskjhghjs ...and that's how Ayua exists". But I do feel there will be some level of disclosure in the next updates of the two games, they're both to large to avoid slipping in some juicy details about those connections.

Players have already gotten used to how the characters look after the rework. I think going for a redesign at this point would be...extreme. But out of curiosity, which characters would you like to see redesigned?

I love this game, but how hasn't anyone helped this guy by fixing comical spelling and grammar mistakes? I understand English isn't his first language, and he writes better than I could in any other language, but it feels like he doesn't care. This game has been in development for over five years and is on Steam. Does he not want anyone to touch up his writing? I might take this on and release a version with his vision, minus the engrish.

Preach! But trust me, it used to be so much worse. Even though it may not look like it, this aspect has improved massively.

I still agree with you and have pointed this out multiple times. Even suggested a complete script overhaul to solve not only the language issues but continuity issues, logic issues and so much more. The problem is not so much orthographic mistakes anymore but sentence structuring, idioms, slang usage and formal/informal English.

Even though most users don't seem to care about this problem, either because their own knowledge/understanding of the language is limited or because they are used to poor narratives and dialogue and just want to get to the fucking, it still bothers me tremendously. It's noticeable! And English isn't even my first or second language...

I tried to do this script fine-tuning myself twice and realised it's more time consuming than I can afford. Last time I tried just the "book club" scene and gave up halfway when I realised I was editing over 50% of Ocean's dialogue. Even if I admit to being nitpicky, it's still too much.

But hey if anyone can do it, I wish them best of luck! Shoutout to alain8891's uncut mod! Without it, SG S1 would be borderline unplayable to me!
