We all have our personal wishes that will make the game better in our eyes.
To me these are pretty boring and obvious twists. What can make them good is the right execution.
As for Ocean's writing ability. SG is not in a condition for such a categorical statement. The first season is just a premise and exposition. Whether Ocean is a good writer or a bad one will depend on the second season. So far, I'd say Ocean is doing a good job with the characters. They are quite interesting and diverse on their own outside of the story.
Most of the mysteries surrounding Nika bother the fandom but don't bother him. As for Summer, we can't even tell exactly what he doesn't know and what he does know but just doesn't want to talk about it.#10 will Mc learn to use the internet to find out about Summer and learn about everyone surrounding him ? , half the mystery it's gone just by using Google

I mostly agree with the entire post. But while I don't think that Nika needs to be the lost child of one of the 3 families, I feel that somehow his story needs to be tied up with the events of WiaB. Maybe not even in a direct way, but in a way. As of right now at least, maybe when the plot is starts to unfold I change my mind, but right now there is just too much wink, wink look at it to not have any pay off.

Sometimes I find it fun to take things seriously, even when I know it's tongue in cheek. Considering how many people want Nika to be a Z, P or R, I'm going to validate the shit out of your responsible wish there. Let's hope for a story that defies our expectations by exceeding them, rather than failing them. Make Nika sweat buckets trying to work his shit out because he's average, none of this missing prince hidden amongst the commoners business.
Nice try, but if you want Ocean to hear you, this was way too quiet. Shout louder so he can hear you all the way from his discord.

I mostly don't care if he turns out to be a Revera. The option with Petrov isn't possible for obvious reason. The only thing I want is for him not to be related to the Zanes or William or Leia. It's lame, it's boring, it can be seen from a mile away. People here have discussed it so many times that by the time it's revealed, the twist will be like a rotten meal.
With the current state of the thread, it's hard to tell when people are joking and when they're serious. Or maybe it's always been like that and I just forgot.

I agree. Is way too obvious and at this point, if is true, is better for Ocean to just say so and move on, there is no twist left. That said, I like the idea of him being William's child, William and Nika are very different characters but with enough commom ground. Where Ocean excel at is character, and I think that having this two in a father and aon dynamic would be very interesting.

Workstation stuff
The contract is finalized, and they told me that I should get it next week. So, I guess it’s safe to say that the Workstation will be with me in the next 10 days.
However, I will have to move a lot of data and assets over before I can use it. It took around 4 days with my last PC. (~3TB)
The phone code is coming along well.
I saw the first test yesterday, and it worked great. The coder will now finish the ability to send and receive images and videos.
So, if Bellchen wants to send you a video of ‘whatever’… She’ll be able to do that.
I ordered multiple logos through Fiverr, and while it wasn’t a pleasant experience, I have now received them.
Next time I’m in need of a logo, I’ll search for an artist on Twitter or Twitch.
You’ll see one of the logos in the upcoming update.
Some bad news:
I had the worst workout ever this morning and I'm still not over it. I moved maybe 60 percent of my normal workload. I left the gym with my head held down.
I’m traumatized.
More good news:
The queue is filling up nicely, I have about 350 SG images waiting to be rendered, and I can’t wait until I can split that stack in half and render it so much faster with the addition of the workstation.
It's not just the rendering itself, but the additional PC also cuts the damn loading times in half.
I added some 8TB enterprise SSDs that fit my entire 3D library and software on them... So let's hope that the SSD speeds up the loading between scenes even further.
I would also love to start the animations because I have quite a few to do.
Soon… Very soon.
As soon as the workstation is here, I’ll update every dev log on how many renders I have been able to create and render in between.

That's Celina. One of the physical therapists you meet in Chapter 3. I hadn't touched or rendered her since the release of CH3.
So, I loaded up that old ass file and took a look at her...
Yeah... You know where this is going.
I tried to use her old model by adding some details, but the bone structure was off, the skin was shitty, etc.
There are only two direct renders of her in the game, and even then, I disliked her old looks.
She'll make a return in the upcoming update.
I tried to keep some resemblance but still gave her a hefty overhaul. (I rebuilt her from scratch.)
And while we're already in this scene...

The plan was to eventually show some Maja previews, but the ones I wanted to show are still in the queue, so these have to do.
Oh yeah, I found the cover for a Nojiko Treat by going through one of the folders.
This is just a reminder that after this update, I'll also release the Noji treat that was supposed to be a Steam exclusive, but I thought it would be a better fit after this update.
I might add another render or two to the Treat after the update.
I'll see you in two weeks.
Hopefully, with a new and very powerful PC and some data regarding the daily output.
