Hey, I've been out of the loop for a long while. When was the last dev-update from Ocean? Curious to see how far along he is (isn't?
) since season 1 wrapped up.
This scene was just dumb and not even hot imo, i think its just made a bigger deal because its deleted now and wont matter at all when we get real lewds and more sexyness in generalThankfully there lies in the glorious internet ways to still find that really epic hot tub scene with MC and Nami![]()
Yes, we've heard it many times. He constantly wants to move to Spain, spends a lot of time on it and in the end he never moves. Now Ocean doesn't need to move, he's learned to laze around without it, now he posts pictures and promises a lot of crap, like in the last few months, the main thing is that no one notices that game development is at a standstill. When Ocean pulls the trigger to move from Germany to another part of Europe, for example, I certainly expect a few weeks of disrupted workflow at a minimum and knowing what is going on makes it easier for me to accept/understand the future slowdown, whenever it hits.
Mention of adoption - yes. Jacuzzi humping scene - no, it just didn't fit with more reserved personality of Nami that was needed for 16+ S1. Judging by the previews this scene will return in all its glory in the S2.Which is why Ocean removed the mention of adoption and cut Nami humping Nika in the hot tub.
You say that it was to make Nami more "reserved", yet she still talks about Nika getting a "semi" after she sat on him. It has nothing to do with her character being toned down. Her merely sitting on his lap can be perceived as non-sexual, her grinding on him cannot.Mention of adoption - yes. Nami is one of the main LIs and MC will eventually bang her, it's just delayed until S2. It's okay since they're just roommates and Noji their Asian landlady. You say that it was to make Nami more "reserved", yet she still talks about Nika getting a "semi" after she sat on him. Removing that scene was an attempt to kill two birds with one stone, lower the steam rating and avoid any potential branding of incest (since Noji raising them both since toddlers is seen by everyone as adoption) by Patreon. It's only being re-added to the Steam release because it had no effect on lowering Steam's rating.
We can choose to believe that, but we all know the truth...Nami is one of the main LIs and MC will eventually bang her, it's just delayed until S2. It's okay since they're just roommates and Noji their Asian landlady.
Do you read his Dev logs carefully? I won't sing my old song about post-processing being just a way to milk his Patreons. I did that before with all the examples. Now I will use only Ocean's words. He said that he does post-processing for 500 renders a day. Now remember how much time has passed since that log when Ocean said that Wiab was ready and only post-processing remained? If you multiply 500 by the number of days that have passed, it turns out that post-processing could have been done not only for Chapter 4 of Wiab, but for the entire season. Not defending him, WiAB should be out by now and has been his main focus. but if you actually read the DevLog he did postwork on the 5k render meaning he wont have to when he finishes the last 2000 and directly said this as well.
In 2024.WiaB got yeeted from Patreon for incest in 2022
Even me, with my complete lack of imagination, can come up with several retcon explanations why Noji, Nami, and Nika live together without being related to each other. It may seem far-fetched or implausible to some, but then again, who cares. People are perfectly fine with Spiderman or House M.D., even though both are pure fiction that can’t stand any serious criticism. As long as people like the story and the characters, they’re willing to suspend their disbelief to the maximum. We can choose to believe that, but we all know the truth...
My bad, nearly 8am and haven't slept.In 2024.
"Adoption is a process whereby a person assumes the parenting of another, usually a child, from that person's biological or legal parent or parents."Even me, with my complete lack of imagination, can come up with several retcon explanations why Noji, Nami, and Nika live together without being related to each other. "but we all know the truth" - It's a fictional story in the making and the author is known for changing it on the fly. We know shit.
More sleep, less zoneMy bad, nearly 8am and haven't slept.
Good. Although it has nothing to do with Noji."Adoption is a process whereby a person assumes the parenting of another, usually a child, from that person's biological or legal parent or parents."
She agreed with their parents that she would look after the children while they're targeted by the cult. The parents were killed. She fled to another part of the country to save children. Since then they have lived with her.You can't explain why a woman with no familial relation has solely raised two children from the ages of three to eighteen and them not be classed as a family unit.
Yup. Just what I said - now they're roommates, Noji is their landlady. "No funny business between roommates" is now only a Noji's weird rule. They'll bang, mkay? That is why every mention of adoption was removed, because Patreon counts step-siblings as incest. The change wasn't because the narrative called for it, it was because Patreon was cracking skulls.
Coincidence. Half of the Wollust are Zanes. A very common last name in that place.Nika and Nami even share the same surname and you're telling me we don't reeeally know... Come on dude.
I've been binging Yellowstone and 1883, so my sleep is all fucked up.More sleep, less zone![]()
Good. Although it has nothing to do with Noji.
So the biological parents put their children into her care, to raise for in indeterminate period of time. Sounds like the definition of adoption to me. Maybe it wasn't done through the legal system, but it fits the definition to a T.She agreed with their parents that she would look after the children while they're targeted by the cult. The parents were killed. She fled to another part of the country to save children. Since then they have lived with her.
Or maybe she's in the witness protection program. I'm not sure.
We know that they are no longer deemed step-siblings, but the story was conceptualised and released as them being that. No amount of obfuscation will change the fact that Nika and Nami were, by definition, adopted by Noji.Yup. Just what I said - now they're roommates, Noji is their landlady. It probably is likely they were placed in Noji's care for their protection. With William likely being Nika's dad, the gangs likely started targeting people close to Leia because she started stepping on her business. We don't know yet why Nami, who is likely Daphne's daughter, was placed there too.Coincidence. Half of the Wollust are Zanes. A very common last name in that place.
But I don't even need this excuse. Nika's last name is Cyrus, but who told you that Nami is Cyrus too? Who told you that Cyrus isn't a fake name that Noji gave him when she run away from the cult?
BTW Noji is Miyazaki now.

Wo Wo Wo. I have played the game a long time ago, and thought to myself to give it another playthrough before the next update is "probably" dropped in near future. So I decided to read some comments in the thread to see what's what. I DON'T REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT A CULT OR GANG BUSINESS OR NAMIS DAD??? What's that about? It probably is likely they were placed in Noji's care for their protection. With William likely being Nika's dad, the gangs likely started targeting people close to Leia because she started stepping on her business. We don't know yet why Nami, who is likely Daphne's daughter, was placed there too.
The gang is briefly mentioned in SG, but they seem to be one of the main antagonists in the prequel game, Where it all Began.Wo Wo Wo. Oh, I haven't played where it all began. Guess it's mandatory to play that for SG. ThanksThe gang is briefly mentioned in SG, but they seem to be one of the main antagonists in the prequel game, Where it all Began.
They are being developed concurrently, usually with alternating chapter releases. We are expecting a WiaB release in the next couple of months.Oh, I haven't played where it all began. Guess it's mandatory to play that for SG. Thanks
It's not. But it's in the same universe, WIAB is set 20 year-ish in the past of SG.Oh, I haven't played where it all began. Guess it's mandatory to play that for SG. Thanks
So every friend of a family who stays for a while with children while their parents are away adopts them? That doesn't work like this. Whatever it might look like - there is not a word about adoption anywhere in the game.So the biological parents put their children into her care, to raise for in indeterminate period of time. Sounds like the definition of adoption to me. Maybe it wasn't done through the legal system, but it fits the definition to a T.
Nah, Nika being a Willie's or Leia's son is a red herring. Also, at least one parent of Nika is still alive, they've lived in Wollust the whole time, so those are out.
There is no obfuscation there is a change of the original story. There is no fact about the adoption in the game now. As well as Nika didn't put a gun to Marla's head. That didn't happen in the current game.We know that they are no longer deemed step-siblings, but the story was conceptualised and released as them being that. No amount of obfuscation will change the fact that Nika and Nami were, by definition, adopted by Noji.
Speculation upon speculation. None of this was explicitly stated in the game. Sure, you can believe it, but don't be surprised if it turns out to be wrong. It probably is likely they were placed in Noji's care for their protection. With William likely being Nika's dad, the gangs likely started targeting people close to Leia because she started stepping on her business. We don't know yet why Nami, who is likely Daphne's daughter, was placed there too.
