Look at Bella's eyes. Can't see any difference on the Mila one.
The thing is that in the two top pictures the eyes have a different setting (direction), the shadows also don't match and the background is slightly changed. These are 2 different pictures from the same scene.

But the bottom 2 pictures are completely the same. The only thing I noticed is that the background is lighter in the old version.
For me, both old and new pictures are of the same quality and I don’t see much of a difference between them.

I actually have noticed in a lot of DAZ renders in different games and art threads how the eyelashes don't seem to respond to eye movement the way they do IRL. It's likely fixable manually while setting up the scene, it's probably just that often the beginner CG artists either don't notice the problem, don't bother fixing it or don't know how to. I guess in gen 8.1 it works automagically now. It does look better in certain positions where the character is looking sideways, up or down.
Bets on whether Ocean will start to re-render all images from the start of the game where the eyelashes don't look realistic because of this previous limitation? :sneaky:
I don't think he will, really. Just kidding.

I think we need a new remake, better eyelashes and small aurelas.

Imagine 2 weeks from the release date he just disappears. Like vanishes from the internet, no patreon, no socials, no discord type of thing. Now that would be interesting

We lost a lot of music licenses by the time SG S1 was complete, including Waykap - 'Give My All To You' and Humble Hey - 'What My Mama Said' -- which matched two cinematics perfectly.

I remember early S2 dev logs where a frustrated Ocean mentioned that S2 would at least start out with measurably less music due to licensing issues (especially due to the coming bump in adult content).

This comment from the latest dev log is a Very nice change from those early dev logs:

Season 2 is going to be a new personal milestone in production quality… The amount of amazing music I already got… About 25-30 songs already.

Yes - it has been a Long wait for S2, but I'm feeling a new, awesome S2 playlist coming and it will be a welcome addition to my current SG music playlists.

That music was a comfort when I was sitting in airports heading to work or trying to get back home, especially during COVID.

If Ocean's S2 music finds are as good as what he used to help tell the SG S1 story, I anticipate some Great new music.

Cheers!! :coffee:

I miss the song that used to play when Nami confronted Bella after Nika got punched. I think it was called State of Dystopia.

I also discovered Wellmess thanks to SG and well, that didn't last either.

That said, I trust Ocean in music so hopefully we get some good stuff in S2.

You can still have all your favorite songs in the game. Download the song and add it to the music folder. You can even make them trigger at a certain point. Or just manually use the playlist option to have it start playing when you want to.

We haven't really "lost" any songs. If anything we lost the opportunity to discover music Ocean would have used further down the line if he didn't have to worry about the licensing issue.

I just grabbed the old cinematic of Nami going for the punch on Bella from a previous version and will be adding it back to the version I play which is missing it. My game is so modded up at this point it's crazy. The only thing that bothers me is I can't replace the new scenes for the old because the image and model quality difference is so big it kinda stands out too much :( Would have loved to restore the old Nami/MC bathroom scene instead of having to deal with the abomination that is the new one. Oh well...

Guys, please correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understood from last devlog, he has to make +2000renders, so it will take another 3-4 month?! Because as I remember the game should be released in June. Or it is postponed to Aug/Sept?!
