So which data are you (or the original poster) basing this opinion on? The same could be said about avns in general (no matter if on steam or not) yet SG seems to do reasonably well so far and thats even despite all the questionable dev decisions and all the hate and badmouthing it receives.

Its just a assumption (which he and maybe you) probably would like to be true. And steam is a plattform with 99,999% of content without any kind of sex, so to say steam users specifically need sex in their avns sounds rather stupid and not logical, imo its reasonable that patreon users (and way more likely pirates ...) are the one with these expectations overall.

My assumption is the average steam user gives way less of a fuck about explicit sex scenes than any other kind of avn reader.

And thats not even about my opinion, imo this avn should get lewd scenes soon but i dont base reality on my opinions and what i want like a toddler.

i myself don't have any hard "data" but the real issue, and what likely matters to people, particularly patrons with early access to when it existed, isn't "it doesn't have the *real* adult content", it's "the real adult content was removed to suit a wider audience/steam". the nami scene where she was supposed to grind mc to try to help his ed is a big one, it would be fully in character, and the hot tub would have been the moment in the story to attempt it, and it's doubly notable because bella is still down *bad* in her scenes around the same time, and tries smashing mc into the car to get it to work, grinding him multiple times etc. honestly the extent dev pushes it with several characters seems like it's nothing but hurting his own project to explicitly only allow direct sexual content by s2, because if anyone was iffy about adult content, or checking for rule breaks, sg already fails. he removed it/limited it, so at best it can make long term patrons iffy, at worst an amount leave to something else and new players have less "come for the snu snu, stay for the mental issues and crying" >we're here.

steam is not a platform without "99.9" sexual content unless you just play fps of the month all day. check new releases commonly and it's the other way around, or at least 50/50. avn also stands for adult visual novel, do you understand you can't have an adult all ages visual novel? you don't specifically need targets in a fps either i guess, just holding a gun and firing it. pirating doesn't invalidate opinions, and uh, yeah obviously people who set up a payment plan for sg for possibly years then find out he's rewriting the game for potential steam bucks would have an issue.

no, the average steam user gives as much of an opinion on adult content as anyone else. sir, have you never noticed the people upset about censorship? not liking censorship is the rule, whether it's realistic depictions of violence or sexual content, if you pay upwards of 80 now, you don't want "the western ver" or "the steam ver" you want the full game. if there was originally clapping cheeks people want cheek action, especially since a., it's 90% of the time never replaced with an equal amount of content, and b., you stand against it or they'll just remove more in the future, or something you'd actually start caring about.

There are quite a few avn devs whore are not even communicating with their patreons for 1+ years or even completly ghosting everyone and STILL make good money. You could serve lots of patreons pure shit and they would still thank you for it and ask for more. There are ENDLESS people on patreon who 1) keep investing in failed projects and 2) dont consider projects failed.
