The future of solo game development, especially in this field.
Lol.. I hope this is sarcasm considering they hasn't updated in a good while.
The site only has 18 months of patience though.
How dare they expect some form of update within 1 yr and 6 months.. I'm calling the police.
This entire part of his info ..
"A few weeks ago, I realized something… This move to Blender isn’t some little bibi project. It’s a life-project to me.
I don’t just want to understand rigging and how to really get the most out of an armature, I want to master it.
So, I went ahead, purchased some valuable courses and books, and delved even deeper. Not just into rigging, but animation and posing as well.
Certain actions get rid of your bone’s constraints? Make a bibi bone INSIDE the actual bone and parent them to each other and put the constraint on the bibi bone.
Clean as fuck results!"
Tells me
1. Hes a perfectionist always going back to redo something. Or spending more time learning things instead of simply developing where hes @ rn. It ultimately seems like hes spending 50% of development just figuring stuff out which while isn't bad its not like the current state in 2024 was awful anyway so its redundant.
2. Has more interest in blender than actually continuing this as much as he says otherwise. I've seen plenty of modders go from importing from other games etc to full on making their own models and just sticking there to end up selling & doing commissions.. which looks a lot like this dev rn. Plus "It’s a life-project to me." Kinda also screams it.
Action speaks more than claiming you're buying 20 courses on what is basically anim/rigging 101; 6 yrs later starting this.
Idk AVN but I know anim/rigging.. doesn't take 6 yrs to understand how to make fluent anims .. if hes treating the scenes like a photo perfectionist, hoo boy lol
Rigging isn't difficult either when its the same skeleton/mesh clothing if hes even rigging the clothing or its just dl'd pieces. If he was making aliens/monsters sure.
+ Most people on patreon use these platforms as an flotational income devices.. not rolling in 50k a month but enough to drag it out for yrs doing barely anything once they have the fanbase they need to get to lets say 3k-6k
The work they did on this is great but I really don't see this finishing.. it'll probably end up like steam games that slap on a 1.0 with rushed w/e claiming its done.
