There are expensive things that aren't waterproof, and it's not like Bella anticipated that she'd cry any day sooner like a baby. You have to admit, its weird seeing someone rich like Bella wear cheap mascara that smears when she cries
Especially when shell shit talk the mcs cheap underwear
Not gonna answer to everyone who quote me, but I'm going to say a few thingsOk, so let's pretend that she hasn't dressed normally literally every other time she went to college throughout the story. While we're at it, let's also pretend that she did not wear an oversized sweater and that her butt was on full display for the world to see.
Except she isn't. Unless you can see through her outfit, you're not seeing anything lol. View attachment 1857846
Darling, please enlighten us all to more instances of the girls displaying this "sluttishness" that has you so riled up. I myself am rather curious...
I think conservative is the right word you're looking for. And I'd agree had anything you said made sense. Neither Bella nor Nami went around just showing off their bits to people. Even then, nothing's wrong with what they wore. More emphasis is going to get thrown on certain body parts because, again, this is an adult game. But it's really not anywhere near as serious as you're making it out to be.
Ahh, these are just youngsters, let them have their fun. I saw a lot of weird dressing in my college times.I'm from a conservative religious country, so maybe my idea of 'normal' is skewed, but I have to agree with him that Nami's sweater was a bit much for college. Obviously we can handwavium that and the other examples away using the 'porn game logic' card, but it still looks a bit weird. Especially in the scenes where they're wearing tank tops, and it looks like the tops were forcefully pulled down to reveal the cleavage (because they look like what collars look like when they get pulled).
You're right. At the end of the day, this is all subjective. I'm just giving my opinion since, you know, I am a woman. To each their own. But if that's enough to negatively affect your experience of this game, then perhaps this isn't the right site for you lol. I mean, I can almost guarantee that before you brought it up, most of the people here were unaware that it was even an issue. I'm a woman and I didn't even notice lol. At the end of the day, this can all be attributed to Summer's Gone being an adult game. There's no lewd content(yet), so Oceans has to find another way to market Summer's Gone as an adult game. When you look at the other AVNs on this site, it could be a lot worse. Unrealistic body proportions, women sleeping with the MC for whatever dumb reasons the author thinks of(essentially having no personalities), etc. It could be a lot worse. But to each their own I guess...What I said obviously was just my opinion (Because everyone is talking about culture differences or shit like that right now, I'm Western, not from fucking Middle East), but I still think women on this game dresses more lewd outdoors than in other VN. If you think this is not bad or immersion-breaking, good for you.
I'm going to confess that the only reason for my "long" response was because he kinda got my nerves yesterday with that last cocky line implying I'm not intelligent enough to realize she wears that to be provocative/sexy. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother, it's my option against yours at the end.
Which line ? Btw I remember the Mass Effect 3 Palaven wallpaper on Miru's laptop in the oooold WIABWell, at least the Mass Effect Line has been taken out from the beginning with the rework.
Ok, so here's the deal generally speaking in these situations, and I would imagine the situation with this game won't be any different from Being A DIK / City of Broken Dreamers, etc...but I could be wrong since Ocean can do this however he wants, so just keep an open mind and pay attention with Ocean's dev logs in case things change.
I'd personally recommend NOT buying the Steam copy right away if you want to become a Patreon member - you will not automatically become a Patreon if you buy the Steam copy, you're just a person who bought "Season 1" on Steam. What Ocean will "probably" do is when the game launches on Steam, the game will include Chapters 1-5. And then Steam probably won't get an update until the next set of 5 chapters releases - that's how Being A DIK / City of Broken Dreamers, etc. does it.
You just kinda have to decide what you want to do - if you sign up on Patreon, you'll pay a monthly fee, and depending on that fee, you'll get access to certain things (Dev logs, game releases, etc.). (you can cancel this at any time also, just fyi - just be advised you get charged at the beginning of the month, and if you cancel your subscription you lose all access immediately no matter where you are in the month, so if you cancel, cancel at the end of the month on the last day or two)
What I do is back on Patreon just to support the development of the game but I usually download the updates here on F95. I don't back to a high enough level to get the game on launch day - for example the recent Beta required you to be at the $22 per month tier to get it on launch day which I think is asking a bit much, so I just waited a few hours and it popped up here on F95.
So my advice would be: back to the $ amount per month on Patreon that you want to support Ocean with, and then just pickup the updates here on F95 and then add the game to your Steam launcher. I add all games to Steam launcher so I have them all in one place with a custom background and everything for the game to make it look more official, so you can still sort of "have it on Steam" if you want.![]()
Thanks guysThere is no such thing as a Steam member. It's like itch.io, you just buy the game and then you're done. Patreon members, they pay a monthly subscription fee sort of things, which is why they get special benefits.
People who simply buy the game most likely won't get anything other than the game they paid for.
Good god even in an update that's not about her, Bella has such a strong presence. Even her own cinematic.
Rip to all my non-Bella-main-girl homies in here.
Sorry not sorry.

I had a professor that only faced the chalkboard or his desk. He was a graduate assistant in a auditorium calculus class so, early twenties himself. He never looked at his audience of freshmen and freshwomen. The fact the ladies were already in bikini tops and shorts to get sun after class may have had something to do with that!Ahh, these are just youngsters, let them have their fun. I saw a lot of weird dressing in my college times.
Girls just love showing areolas and also, slipping off their tops when they're near MC. That's just part of the laws of physics in this world. The women definitely dress a bit more openly than irl, but as was mentioned before, this is a adult visual novel, so it's expected. And I'm certainly not complaining.
The only case where this is somewhat egregious imo is Bella's mom wearing a see-through blouse to a therapy session to the point you can see her nipple piercings. That's rather immersion breaking.
I'm still awed by the cinematics in this VN even after playing it multiple times. The amount of VRAM and the compute power required for them is ridiculous - I'm assuming atleast 2 3090s in SLI. This VN has incredible visuals along with having a great narrative and characters and that's why it is one of the BEST VNs on the site.
