From what I see, he has a very high quality standard. And I personally like that everything comes from the same hand. Of course, if one artist could be found who really can copy DC's style like he was him...
I think DC thinks no one can draw to his standards/specifications.
Can't blame him, he's good and this is his baby. I'd probably be the same way if it was my creation, making sure everything stays in style, up to my standard and vision.
Yeah, I don't blame him. Like you both said, it's his baby. And up until now, the money was rolling in, so as long as he can pay the team and himself, why change what works? That said, the Patreon patron growth seems to have plateaued, so they will probably have to be at least somewhat careful with their timelines going forward.
I disagree but to each their own. I think duplicated art would be glaringly obvious to spot.

Some styles are easier to be copy than others. The guy they had working for them before didn't have a style was all that close to DC's, IMO. It has been discussed here before, but there is a difference in a bunch of people wanting to do art for comic books versus people that want to do art for adult video games. Lots of people will have no problem putting comics in their portfolio, can the same said about artists wanting porn in their portfolio?
