Whoopsie, let's remove that unrelated quote
Yes, but AWAM aren't really pornographic, yet. It's telling a story and setting up stuff for the future. The last release I played, there wasn't even any sex yet, except for maybe one scene with the husband. It's been about four months since, though. Very similar to Dual Family, really, in that regard. It was writing a story and not rushing to throw porn into the mix. Also the same for Where The Heart Is.
I guess I don't get why people need to come to these slow paced erotic novels and complain about a slow pace whenre there are hundreds of VNs out there that are much faster paced that they can choose from.
I'm neutral to it, and have done the thing you tell me to do. I was using AWAM to point out that games taking too long isn't a phenomenon unique to 2d games, although the two have their own set of concerns.
It reminds me of the people that would go into an RPGMaker game thread and complain that it's RPGM.
In the interest of fairness, RPGM is a bit clunkier if they go in hard on the interface and maps, it's harder to control, harder to type in names, and often much laggier for those of us with low end video cards. There have been RPGM games done right (which is to say, those that allow you to either type names, or not even bother with names, those that opt for a menu location change rather than a map based one. Can't really fix the difference in controls though), but they're the exception rather than the rule. Much the same for Ren'py games. Admittedly they both have the problem for us low end users that the creators often want to put in memory prohibitive animations that take too long.
In the SS for the year released more, and it corresponds to the genre of porn. While AWAM is a banal, lazy visual erotic novel, with beautiful graphics, but absolutely empty plot and the same characters, just a lot of the same text on the background of beautiful pictures.
I like AWAM, so my only real complaint is how slow and lazy it is. I'll eventually get to it, when someone noteworthy shoves a dick in someone else, and it's not a tease.
I get what you mean, but from my own experience, animating and positioning 3D models is easier than with hand-drawn art like in summertime saga
Oh yes. I am painfully aware each game (and each game type) has its own separate set of pitfalls. I can't really speak to the animation issue, but I do tend to prefer the ones that work better on my piece of shit computer. The images alone take quite a bit more man hours since there's not a lot of stock like there is with 3d though...
