Here is where you lost me, because why would that be hamstrung by a poser which again leads me back to my original point... I web dev, I don't do video games; but from my experience the work surrounding an animation takes significantly more work than implementing the animation itself. This again leads me to believe that coding wasn't only held back by the posers work, it was going to take them nearly as long as they did regardless of the poser stepping out.

Again, this is going off what you said remained because I never cared to look at the items in their backlog.

Of course I have no idea what's actually happening in the background, but at least for the tracker during normal updates, most tasks, like let's say "Pregnancy Liu" appear indeed 4 times, once in each department. DC makes the art for that segment, Sploosh writes the dialog, the posers pose it and stray implements it. It's not very precise but that's how the tracker works.

Edit: By the way, the animations themselves are indeed outsourced to AEHentai. DC only creates the art for them.

Im just used to PMs in my world making sure that everyone has what they need to do as much as they possibly can regardless of what they may or may not need from others.

If I have a mock-up of a website, implementing the image files I get from the graphic design guys is 1% of my work. It wouldn't impede the 99% that still remains to be done on my end because I can just use empty elements or placeholders until I have those files. That's just the way im looking at it.

I think in this case it may be the other way round. I mean, it's still just a RenPy game and as far as I'm aware everybody but DC actually only works part-time on the project. One guy simply can't produce enough art to actually keep them busy for longer.

Edit: And just to add, I'm not sure that thing we get to see it's their actual workflow or remotely representative of the actual amount of work that has to be done. It's very likely just an illustration of what's going on to keep paying patrons informed/happy and to given them an idea what's happening.

The tech update seems be to be called 0.21. for now, while the numbers for the other updates were removed. Looks like they don't want to assign numbers anymore before the work has actually started... which kinda makes sense, I guess, looking at the mess that caused in the past.

In general it's actually surprising that almost nobody complained about bugs or saves which didn't work. So it looks like they've got that under control by now.

Interesting and its already at 8%. not surprised tho.. DC has been doing the art for the tech update for around 2 months now

This update took half a year and its just a bunch of dialogue.

I doubt the tech update will take more than 9 months to finish, my guess right now is that it will take between 4 and 6 months.

Nope to both of that. Ending was finding who killed MC's dad, which you do in said route. 6 scenes are for the tech build coming out in 4-5 months, both of which was known for almost a year now

For those of you that never bothered to level up stats, why did you even bother with them in the first place? Just start w/ cheat mode and your stats are already maxed out. You wouldn't have needed to bother.

If you cant do that minigame with maxed out dex im not sure what to tell you, especially on PC. Should be easily able to beat it.

Also doesnt help that the arrows dont always seem to show up.. have had a few fails due to litteral no arrows on the last part...

Finally got it after prolly 20 tries.. liked the old mini game more.. not that I like most of the mini games to begin with.. but most of them are alright if you get the hang of them..

This last fight with Dimitri for me wasnt fun to be honest, but got through it eventually... The maxed stats made quite a big difference I wil say

On mobile, yeah, may God have mercy on your soul. With it being unsupported on mobile im not surprised if everyone playing that way got stuck.

but on PC (with max dex) if you're failing that fight you lowkey have arthritis or an 80-year old man's reflexes.

A problem that the game design does not take into account is that not all keyboards/keypads are created equal. There were attempts where I hit the key and it didn't register in the game plus my U-D-R-L pad is laid out funky. This is a problem that has arisen in other games besides this one. Right now, . . . I'm guessing that the boss minigame is "virtually" impossible for about 1/3 of the gamers to complete on their machines.

Right now, after "practicing" about 10 times, I'm able to complete each level of the boss minigame about 40% of the time. Let's do the math shall we? . . . . (0.4 X 0.4 X 0.4 X 0.4) = .0256 . . . That means a less than 3% chance to beat the minigame! This is a game imbalance that is guaranteed to piss off about 1/3 of the players 100% of the time!

All of the fans of STS have been asking for more playtime in the updates, but I can assure you that this AIN'T the way to do it!

(BTW, I do have max DEX, do not have arthritis, and do martial arts,. What I do not have is an extra few hundred dollars to upgrade my computer system.)

So by that logic, having a trash keyboard is the game's fault ? Sure, the minigame can blow all it wants, you not having max DEX is a bigger problem.

There also seems to be 2 HUGE flaws in every1's attempt at crying :

#1 : why is there so much people coming into 0.20.8 with no prior save from any build released in the last ~2 years ? Pretty easy to come around with a cheat mode save from 0.20.7 and just skip it

#2 that works with #1 : why is there no1 starting a cheat mode and buttrushing content to get up to 0.20.8 and still skip the minigame ?

Is it because both of those would imply you'd need to actually play the game for more than 5 minutes instead of crying the game doesn't play itself and leaves you wondering why you didn't bother to farm stats instead ?

Is there a way to fix the Diane breast pump scene? I'm using 19.5 saves (yeah, I know, technically I shouldn't) and they're working just fine EXCEPT for the Diane route.

I'm kinda tired of playing the WHOLE thing again, can I just fix that scene and move on?

There can't be bad saves since every1 and their mom around the thread just went "new mode" and barely did the route, got stuck without max stats on the boss, got rekt, came here crying the game is trash and moved on with their lives .....

You know, even if we didn't get a huge drop of scenes for this update, if you think of the story as a whole there is actually quite a lot there. And I think if there was too much porn it would just start to feel out of place within the narrative.
