Hello there!
For those who speculating about followers an subscribers see here:

There are 84.946 followers (subscribers) and 24.294 of them are paying (paying subscribers), but that's enough though... where come this talking about 600k-700k of subscribers from?
I don't know if my numbers are the worldwide subscribers or only the german one. But 24k of paying subscribers is also much money, which should be enough to do all these artwork and coding stuff.

And the progress of the game can be found here:

And yes, he is absolutely milking the sh** out of his subscribers (or paying subscribers, what the new semantic is)...
But we can do nothing about those who are willing to pay for nothing. And anyone who don't want to be a paying pig can stop the paying as I have done a half year ago...

The TU must be really really incredibly good, otherwise he will lose the most of his paying pigs... (I hope so)

My opinion is that he is struggling with all his presences on social media and streaming... for example: he does a stream nearly every day on picard.tv and I was wondering why he doesn't stop this streams and invest this time in the further progress of the TU.

I don't want to be too harsh, because I like SS. It was the first game of this kind that I have played, but I condemn the part of the money-milking in the strongest terms.

Real talk? Unless DC has suddenly gotten better in coding, there's very little he can do other than get on the lead coder's case 24/7 or look for a new one. The latter especially would probably be the sensible thing to do, but could signal an even shittier state of the game because 'hey, why is he changing the lead code monkey?'.

That the coder apparently only works part time on this is what really boggles the mind. Then again, who really wants to solely rely on the success of a single porn game in post-Covid economies. Having the 'safety net' of a real job is probably smarter than what the rest of DCs crew do.

All bubbles eventually burst, after all.

Oh man.

1) SS never got more than 65.000 $ monthly from paying Patrons: this was its peak;

2) DarkCookie has been working on the art ONLY since 2017, I guess, when he started having a team: he only draws art since then;

3) I stopped watching his streams during FIFA 2018 World Cup, because I got the feeling that he was drawing art ONLY when he was streaming. I honestly felt he was purpotedly fucking around and dragging on and I still feel the same.

My opinion has always been that he has been working on the game ONLY when he's streaming since when he started streaming on a continuing basis. BUT this is my opinion only.

I have no idea of what a TU is. Time Unit? Trade Union? Training Unit? Thulium? Tuesday? Translation Unit? Temple University?

1. not breaking saves is trivially easy. All it takes is giving one single iota of a fuck and bothering to write an extremely simple function that upgrades savefile on load with any of the variable changes you made. (every time you modify a variable, update that function on the spot)

2. not breaking saves is even easier in a sandbox than a virtual novel. not harder.
maybe you were confusing KN and VN? kinetic novel is even easier than sandbox to not break saves for.
but regardless of relative difficulty, not breaking saves is trivially easy in all formats.

3. you are explicitly arguing in favor of devs making sandboxes AND breaking saves. that is just awful combo all around.
devs tend to make sandboxes unnecessarily grindy, and then breaking saves wastes all that time you put into the game and kills your desire to keep playing it.

that is not how savefiles break.

any savefile made in renpy or RPGM or TWINE or similar full game engines have fixed well established structures that the devs are not modifying in any way. This is why you can have something like a "RPGM Save editor". because literally all RPGM games use the exact same savefile structure (assuming the same version of the engine. RPGM MV is obviously different from RPGM XP)

What devs are doing is changing the variables they used to track stuff and/or they are rewriting some of the plot.
And simply not even bothering to give one single iota of a fuck about save compatibility. so they are skipping the extremely super trivially easy step of updating the save upgrading function. (which is just checking for the version variable and then replacing old variables with new variables based on the content of the old variables)

Changing savefile structure is something you might maybe see in a unity game.
even if you did change the structure of a savefile. you can easily convert it from old structure to new structure. it is quite trivial to do so.

Milfy City 2.0 best game pre covid like Summertime saga but lack update after covid time and this make me play Taffy tales the clone of summertime saga with more hot s*x content.

Scamming is a harsh word for this. In the end, those who continued to pay are simply stupid. After a year at the latest, something should have clicked with people. They should have noticed that nothing more was coming.
