I remember when this game first came out: I cannot fucking believe it still isn't finished, and I can't fucking believe people are still paying this guy. Stardew Valley was made by one fucking guy over the course of 4 1/2 years for free, built from the ground up, and this motherfucker can't finish a Ren'Py game in over the same amount of time for MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. Ya'll are legit stupid if you pay this guy. The fuck do you even have interest in this stale ass game anymore? It's garbage compared to some other games out on the market right now because IT'S OLD AS FUCK FOR A PORN GAME.
There are so many games just like this milking fans, forever long wait times between updates for two scenes and an assload of filler, the art and the plot isn't even that good as anymore. The only reason this cunt gets away with doing this shit is because you MORONS are paying him. They straight up removed 80% of the content and replaced what was left with something worse. This is a million dollar downgrade and it is beautiful.
You know what would've been the best fucking option logistically for this moron of a developer? Close the game out, and start SS2, even if that was rushed, we'd be in the same fucking situation with far happier people. It wouldn't have turned into this absolutely bloated fucking storyline of a game. Could have built the code to what it is now with ruining the old one. Hell maybe even closed out and developed the sequel in parallel, but no. Took down a piece of his own history to put a Starbucks. BRILLIANT. I mean, have these sleeze-ball dev's heard of the phrase "know your audience"? It's a bunch of fucking has-beens, jerking off. And if we can't well, we're pissed. Shocker. Fuck this guy's project and haven't supported since his updates went from 3-4 a year to a fucking ghost town.
Is the change log just a straight up lie? The ONLY scene where Debbie uses new art is the one where she showers alone, rest is the exact same art from nearly a decade ago at this point. Even in moments where we know they have a replacement model that shows up SOMETIMES before being replaced with the old assets lmao

The dev never once planned to finish this game, or it would have a beginning, middle, and end, and he'd be working on SS2 right now after successfully completing a game ya'll sucked his nuts over and paid him several million dollars for. There is NO EXCUSE to not have finished product for several million dollars and 5+ years of development time for a fucking 2D POINT AND CLICK PORN GAME. Straight up fucking scam.

Amen. I played this game once back when I found this site a couple years back. It's ok. It's fine. I wouldn't have guessed the dev to be so successful from it alone and I don't know how people support him still.
I honestly think the "most patreon money is made by people that have no idea they're still subbed" theory is true. This dev just doesn't work, lol.
I'm an average coder. Average at best. If two years ago he hired me to port his game from renpy to a bespoke, in-house engine I'd have had it finished in full no more than 6 months later...and that's stretching it and doing full debugging.
It's images, audio, text and clicking/screen selection. Something like Unity or Godot would be too powerful for that, lol. I could write a basic text-based story engine in a week tops. Add a week for the others.
This is not a 2-4 year job, lol.
