Yep, it's hard to talk to people who mix 2 different game making styles, then get proven they were wrong, then try to make a comeback with a listing showing they were still wrong. The same thing that's been wrong with it for most of the game's life. First it was done by a non-coder (DC), then a couple other coders came on and added their own techniques - on top of DC's and each others. Until they dedicated to doing a complete overhaul of the code (and going from 4x3 to 16x9) - it was just patchworking the patchwork.

Non-coder code is usually extensive but harmless.
Wannabe coders are the real danger. If you let them run free... You better nukem from them orbit.
That's what I see here is code of a wannabe coder who went totally haywire.

right, right because everything is drawn by hand every time and assets aren't reused

They disabled that because it made the game crash in specific parts and yes you could say that thats because of code flaws but with increasing game complexity more bugs can happen this is still one of the biggest maybe even THE biggest sandbox adult game and not as buggy as for example the twist. I played it 3 times without any issues on the twist you need a walkthrough to play the game but no hate to the twist developer his game is great either is summertime saga. BTW with the tech update they also want to write a cleaner codebase because multiple coders worked on the game. I actually thought you would show me some code examples or something when I asked you the question but apparently its just because of disabled rollback/skip.

The game crashed because the code was shitty as hell. They coded AGAINST renpy for no apparent reason.

Are you looking for recomendation? try: S.H.E.L.T.E.R, Town of Passion, Zombie's retreat, Urban Demons, A Zombie's Life, Insexual Awakening. it is very hard to find finished 2d games, a pity.

Its been in development for about 6 years, longer than it takes to make a AAA game and at this pace it wont be done for another few years. Its obvious at this point that all they care about is making as much money as possible.

So, you mean... This game takes more time to do as a small team that needs to do programming, rendering,graphic design etc...
than a 150+ people triple A making studio ?
