Just played through the majority of the game for the first time. Honestly, besides adding a potential marriage option and maybe a real true ending where you select one girl or several to be with, I'd say the game is pretty much completed. Instead of revamping all the content, I feel like the dev is way better off just making a new game entirely. Either that or making a sequel or spin-off but I'm not sure how well that would go.
After finishing the game I went to patreon and here to see the general perception the game has from the community, and it seems he's being accused a lot of milking patrons, and stalling on updates. All this could be avoided if he just said "Alright, I'm making a new game and it's going to take a long time for anything playable to come out". Atleast that way we could look forward to some actually new content instead of a widerscreen and handfull of scenes for girls no one cares about.

You are correct in your assumption. That said, there are reasons why the dev isn't moving on - it's because a large portion of his subscribers and fanbase feel there is more to do here (and so does he). Strangely you say "no one cares about" yet there are still storyline updates scheduled for several characters that supporters have voted on that they want to see happen - for R(h)onda, Judith, etc. These small scenes while waiting for the recoding of the game and optimizing imagery for mobile players (which, the gaming industry has stated more developers - indie and AAA - need to direct more effort to) are simply to quell the masses while the tech update is happening.
so Eve disappeared from the game after putting her child in daycare aside from appearing in the evening in her room. In morning and day she's not at school, her home, park... anywhere.
How can the story mode NOT end with a big family orgy with several options and positions is baffling to me, and the fact that the patreons don't ask for that is even more baffling... shouln't that be a rewarding celebration for the completion of the game? Instead nothing happens.

Doubtful. Skip a few days and check if you're not on a weekend day. If after a week or 2 she's still gone, then come back and panic
There's no family and "story mode" doesn't exist. You finished the "main route", not the entire game. You can solo that "main route" without doing anything else, doesn't mean you finished the "game". And the goal of the route was to find out who killed MC's notdad, which you should have found out when completing said route. Massive orgy with 20 girls wasn't part of the deal. And since the game is still 4+ years away from completion, it could still happen in 2030

I honestly NEVER know where you get your information from. The developer is busy making new content. If you were following HIS livestream, you would know that. Check out the StarsipGamer Youtuber channel, which basically leaked the information from the livestreams. You also know why this is taking so long at the moment. I think when he's done with his work (DarkCookie isn't just the inventor, he's also just the artist) and the other employees are still making the codes and co. and integrating everything. Some things are already done, but by no means everything. As a Patreon, you also get the information that masses of new minigames are to be added to a new area called Arcade. And especially with the content that is still being made & DarkCookie is still working on the minigames. However, this is his last task for this update. Then basically only his employees would have to finish their work and then the tech update is finished.
It doesn't ring a lot, but in the end it's not, because I think I heard that his employees only work part-time on the game. But a DarkCookie will probably not take a break either, but will already be getting his artwork ready for the next updates - Ronda, Annie, Judith.
The problem is that the resolution WILL be changed during the tech update, so his employees have to reinsert the characters into the scene from scratch, scene by scene, so that it fits. To do this, they still have to connect the individual scenes and conversations. This is a tall order as the game already has tons of text. I can understand such a long delay, especially for the tech update, but if it drags on like this after the tech update, which it shouldn't be because many scenes from Ronda's story are already finished, the next updates will probably come again come faster. Hopefully they will come in 2-3 month intervals.
If Raz - oh... uh Putin doesn't shoot back to the Stone Age with his nuclear weapons, I assume the game will be completely finished in the next 4-5 years. I hope so.
Note: If you have looked at DarkCookie's older streams, you will see that he has already prepared some other things. So he probably already saved an already pregnant Mia on his computer. Basically, it will now just be the tech update, which takes a little longer, precisely because there are still some minigames to come in the arcade and because the tech update simply has to move everything on the screen perfectly.
By the way: I have already lowered my Patreon from 20€ to 5€. For the same reason as probably many others. If it takes that long, I don't want to support it more until I'm sure that there really will be an update every few months. And I'm talking 2-3 months and not any pre-tech updates.
