No, abandoned means they stopped working on something to do something else.
In this case, the game was deconstructed and we went back a few years. Not in a good way.
This is for sure abandoned. We've all seen games that do this type of maneuver of "fixing" as long series of updates. There is no new content ready to be released because they probably don't even exist. People, it's time for the block and ignore. Don't waste your time on this.
