You guys expect it will take a long time before this game is finished?
I'd say it's reasonable to assume that it's going to take at least another ~3 years, though it'll of course depend on what you'd consider finished.

How should anybody know? Recent updates came about three times a year, plus minor updated in between. How many updates are to come, who knows? There are plans for the next couple of updates, though, but I guess even DC does not know what stories he wants to tell.

I think at some point he even mentioned that once the Summerville stories are finished, he might expand the game universe, e.g. by introducing more maps (cities). So the game might potentially never be finished at all. But personally I think this would mean several games instead of further expanding this one.

On the other hand -- who knows what the patreons will do if the game is finished, and the new project starts at Zero? So perhaps he starts the sequel while the current game is still unfinished. As I said, who knows?

Somebody made a nice graphic of the recent updates. All in all it's not like DC's speed changed that much during those last 2 years, especially given that now pregnancy etc. is actually included. Before the updates dropped faster, but were much smaller and indeed simpler.

I mean, it's fine to feel that everything is way too, slow but it's not like one would expect any other speed. DC's draws as much as he can and that's the content we'll get. That hasn't really changed and that basically means that the time it takes to complete an update will more or less depend on what's actually included.

@srksrk 68:
To be fair, DC has got his development roadmap and I'd say that's a basis of what he wants the game to be before it's "done". Of course there's always room to add content after that, but I'd consider that optional.

I think it will take at least 4 to 5 years to "finish" the game. DC still has to rework some old content and add pregnancy to those stories, there are still a few girls with no content at all and he has to add the dating system. The only way he could speed up the process is if he found an artist that could mimic his art style perfectly, but at this point I don't think that will happen.

As far as I know the build 20(main story) will be a massive one and in fact DC already said that it will be divided into two halves. The build 21(Rhonda, Cassie, etc) probably won't make it in this year if its true. I also expect build 22(Annie, Principal and underground cult) to be released somewhere in 2021 as well.

He gets around 60000$/month(for him and the team ofc) only with patreon, so that should be a valid reason for releasing at least 1 consistent(small) update every 2 months. Just look at the graphic above(link). In 2019 he barely released something and it's not a 3Dgame. Call it whatever you want, I just see someone milking donors and a process I already noticed with other projects from other authors.

This is because it's not a 3D game that it take time (and that every character is not the same that any other game). He stream every week between 4 and 6 time, i don't know other creator that do the same. And you can count that he work for the game between 35 and 40 hours/week and have work as director of "my Kompas" company too.

I prefer few great update than a lot of crappy. Every update is for multiple hour of story (if you don't skip the dialogue, a big part of this kind of game).

For the 60K$ month, a lot of it going for his team and for the thing he is unable to do (like to pay an other company for the animations,). At the end, he have a good salary, but not as big as a lot can imagine.

Any patreon can follow the develloment track and have some bonus depending of their participation (vote, Wallpaper, etc...). I am a patreon but i am not forced to be, because the game is free and available for every adult who want it (except country restriction).

The game progress smoothly and sometime we have surprise update (like two month ago, with consuela), so please, don't complain.

He released two Jenny updates, one Eve and one Consuela. If he released more, it would still not be enough for the complainers. If you don't like it, play another game that releases more trash in shorter time, and everybody will be happier.

I think one update in 3-4 months is OK for a game with the quality of STS.

There are games that bring out a "big update" and ultimately there are only 2 new pictures or scenes. I find that cheeky.
I want to be honest: I have never paid a cent for porn & flash games so far, which is why I take it as it comes and I have no right to get upset about it.

Gotta love people complaining about a free game

Well, the content per given timeframe hasn't really changed. Before those longer updates we got incomplete smaller ones, now we get more complete larger updates with complete stories and more features, like pregnancies for everyone. In the end some people will always be unhappy. Back in 2017 DC released many smaller updates and people complained that they weren't complete and not as conclusive, just as others complain now that it takes too long per update.

When it comes to the money it should be clear that by now, that more money won't solve anything. As far as I see it, DC decided on finishing the game with his own art (unless the perfect artist "soulmate" applies, so they both can work together without DC having to correct anything) and that will determin when an update is done and when the game is finished.

I can understand that people complained about it 2 years ago but given that nothing has changed since, it's pretty simple by now. Either one accepts DC's speed and sees the game as what it is, or one doesn't pledge a cent to play the game for free. After all he isn't forcing patreons to pay $10 or more for early release versions. You pay $1 for immediate access and fast downloads from DC's server or you wait 24 to 48h and you get it for free . That's a really fair deal in my eyes, even for those who don't use boards like F95 to get their downloads.

And it's not like DC doesn't deliver content. Yes, Eve's update for example took time, but it's been a great update after all and certainly much better than most monthly/bi-monthly updates other devs deliver.

That's a lot of words for guys that won't stop complaining anyways. True, however.

i'm still hoping for 31st october including a short but nice halloween update he's been working on in secret. halloween is always such a comfy time for a new summertime saga update, it's wishful thinking i know but i still believe
i want to ask is there any specific new quest regarding halloween or christmass? because i use cheat to enable halloween but it seems no new specific quest only decoration

SS is my favourite game, but I find the updates quite slow. Other than the surprise Halloween update, there is at least 6 weeks between updates.
My friend is there halloween specific quest? because i use cheat for halloween and only decoration appear, no new things
