Academy had some adult content and Liberation Day, too, but I think Arcadius did not at all. Never the series' strongest suit. (And man was Academy a grind.) Still looking forward to revisiting, blast from the past indeed.

Sunrider: Mask of Aquarius

by release order. By story Liberation Day follows Mask of Aquarius while Academy is a kind of "Alternate History Prequel". The main characters of the main game meet as students at the academy - which they didn't do in the main series, thus "alternate history". I'd probably save Academy for last when playing. (Also, it is a grind, and only 20% or so in you need to pick your route, little H content, looooooads of management, you want to choose the lowest difficulty setting). Mask focuses on Turn Based Combat whereas Liberation Day is probably closest to a VN.

I remember playing this game back in the day, but I can't recall who the characters are anymore...

The only thing I remember is the ending of the last game was very unsatisfying after all the hard grind I did. Playing it at the recommended difficulty, the last boss was a bitch to beat. After finishing it, I wanted to wipe it out of my memory

As someone who has played the early access version of the game, I can confirm that Cossette has her own ending as long as you get her affection to level 10 which can be done easily as long as you complete all of her quests.

The sexual content was never exactly the main point of the Sunrider games since there was only really a singular sex scene within the main series.
