I get that he refers to her as "childhood friend" on Patreon. But if you look closely in the changelog, on one line he refers to her as "Sis" and not childhood friend.

Duh, she's meant to be his half sister. Very seldom are landladies and childhood friends actually meant to be literal landladies and childhood friends. That's just camouflage to get around Patreon's bullshit and is meant to have a patch applied to change it to how it was intended.

Well there is a rumor that Patreon's BS will level up ,not only incest but all games with nsfw content will no longer be allowed, so I guess the in the future, nsfw content and incest will be together in 1 patch. The main game will be like a softcore version of a movie

Trying to force them to completely ban all porn could very well make Patreon fed up enough to tell Paypal to finally go fuck themselves (as they should anyway) and switch to direct ACH/EFT bank transfers (system SS uses, dunno why Patreon didn't do the same from the start). As a bonus that's 3% saved that Paypal would otherwise get (well, maybe 1% saved, the bank will take their usually around 2% cut). But if they do ban all porn it'd be easier to simply all go to SS instead of trying to make an AVN with no porn (akin to a "pizza" without cheese) with a patch that's just as big if not bigger than the base game and nearly 2x the renders and 2x the dev time/effort (lewd and SFW versions), it'd be easier just to move to SS or change careers. And if they do ban it and they really want to play hardball they could simply ban all VN's to play it safe if most are getting patched after the fact anyway (wouldn't surprise me if Patreon snitches are lurking here already just looking for incest AVNs to hit with the ban hammer). I guess time will tell.

The mainversion (or real one like its intended) is not on patreon anyways... subscribestar or mrdots own website is the way to go. They are there for a reason. And there is reason too that you get a "uncensored" version there, where the Sister is your sister and not some "childhoodfriend" The whole setting doesnt make any sense anyways without that, cause everything is connected to the MCs dad as well... which doesnt make any sense if the Sister wouldnt be your sister (btw same goes for shortcake, as she is MCs as well) And the whole taboo thing is kinda ridiculous too if she wouldnt be your sister... no one on this earth would care about the fact that they would be raised in the same house for about 5 years... I tried to play this game with the patreon version once, but it just doesnt work in any way cause all the times i think "he? Why do they even bother? Whats the point?"

I personally think that most devs should get rid of patreon anyways. Dunno why so many use it. If you already are established on patreon, yeah it make sense to let it run... but most devs starting out shoudl avoid patreon totally. The rules there and the cut for the income are not something i would be fine with as a DEV for an adult visual novel.
Just for amusement... try DMD from patreon out without i_patch... its so funny how ridiculous that is ^^
