So either try to keep your relationship intact, or technically become Will Smith and accept Nicole's sudden thirst for potential others? I read a "who manipulated who" discussion here, but is this story really telling me that just a week passed, and the supposed smart lawyer in love with MC was completely convinced by 2 opinions that an open relationship was the answer? I guess her brain only works in court or with MC. This looks like Georgina is going to corrupt Nicole at this point. About Nicole and MC; to me, that was a 1 way communication and an non direct ultimatum when the other option was pretty much ask her to stay faithful when she clearly is letting MC know she has an itch to scratch and dildos wont make it. She brings the idea so saying she won't do it, sounds silly. Plus...

After reading this, it was clear to me that she was internally salivating with the idea of new cock; at this point this is exciting to her, she's gone. I was typing before it came out. Hmm like someone said, this makes Mc's 3some dream meaningless. There could've been better options to keep her, but I guess if Dev's team really wanted to give Nicole to other men yes or yes, breaking up was the easy way out letting MC have some dignity. Still; she as a lawyer is useful in the story, either as an ally or a new enemy.

More than likely they will probably throw in a reconciliation option towards the end of the game that has an option or two. This was actually a pretty smart move, it has the same effect as the open relationship overall with the added benefit of not having to render a ton of pointless video calls with Nicole for the interim.
Edit: This is good for us too. For those of us who wanted to break up with her we will probably be able to reject her again and for others they may possibly get that threesome.

He's also a lawyer. Plus enemies usually are a bigger threat than MCs, that way writers keep the tension, the drama and the need to overcome some challenges. A resentful ex isn't hard to imagine. She could also come back to MC untouched and MC can still have the harem. I guess it depends on what the Dev's planning to do with her, but the fact they chose to just end the relationship and she having no RP, makes me believe they never wanted MC to be in a relationship with her at the end of the story

Oh, random thought, what if the "Don't agree" option that lands you in the purgatory of a long distance relationship and trying to make a hotel work is the actual "Easy Win" option for the hotel? She's the best lawyer in that other firm, right? What are the odds that the MC has to face her in court at some point over the hotel business? Especially if the shady ex-boss lawyer wants to hide his tracks or sees an advantage of pitting Nicole against you?

Yeah but he was never as good a lawyer as she was/ is, i think since he never got the promotion at the beginning of the game despite having worked there for several years
Either way, a lawyer being a resentful ex seems like it may require a bit of change to her character, to the level that she wouldn't be as effective a lawyer as she is now. The best lawyers can make decisions without involving their emotional wellbeing, after all.

The game goes out of the way to show that he was actually a pretty good lawyer. It also goes out of its way to show that he never really wanted to be one and did it for Nicole. Pretty sure he's going to have to face down either his replacement or Nicole in court at some point in this game and beat them to illustrate that point.
There are several types of NTR. Netorare and Netori being the two most prominent. Netori is very much harem conducive.

I sincerely thought that she at some point was going to defend MC and sister or cooperate with them as a lawyer (because he's also a lawyer) winning the case together, against a battery of lawyers. And given that MC's ex boss is working for Brodie's father, she working in a different law firm would've sound like justice because MC's ex boss ruined their plans at the beginning of the story. If you think about it, all went to hell for them because he screw MC over.

I think we had the same thought, basically. If you stay with her, she may help. If you chose to do the open relationship, which is to break up with her now, she may be against you in court. Just thinking out loud here. I also think there's a good chance of a reconciliation scene still coming at us as well, as I mentioned a few posts earlier. So many possibilities at this point in the story.
