At the end of v.0.5.1 I saved the game, now I've downloaded v0.6.0 and I'm trying to load my last save but I get an error popping up.

I've tried saving at different points at the end of 0.5.1. but I cannot make it work. When I save it at the very end, at the 'to be continued' screen, I can load it in 0.6 but then it just goes to the 'you've reached the end of this version' screen and I can't start 0.6.
Also tried adding and removing the incest patch, but it's not working.

The error that's popping up is:

Clicking 'roll back' twice will force the game to crash, clicking 'ignore' will start the game from the beginning.
Any help will be very much appreciated.

I was able to start by selecting a save point around where MC and Sis are in bed. Progressing from there brings up a dialog asking about if MC and Shortcake kissed in the last game, I answered and the game moved forward.

I was originally going to pick up from the scene with Shortcake at the pool, but noticed the game didn't give me credit for the completed one star tasks. I backed up to the wedding and moved forward again from there. I'm now finally in the new material.

So in a couple of updates the moron MC and his half-wit sister are going to prison for a few years, and getting a huge fines, right? I mean they assaulted someone right in front of the police, and are interfering in a police investigation. How much of the cops time are they wasting by lying about not harboring Connie?

The story just keeps getting dumber.

He kicks a guy in the face in front of the police but he's also scared of mopeds. He's a man of mysterious contradictions.

Honestly I just have to assume none of the laws are based on American, British or Irish laws, because of how the MC, Sis, the police and the Boss conducted themselves the whole time. Connie is 18, she literally could have solved the whole issue. MC or Sis should have had the Boss arrested for false pretenses and trespassing towards the end too. Law operates very strangely in this town.

When you save on one of the last pictures of an update, seeing errors like this is quite frequent in a number of games. Just load your most recent autosave, it should get you fairly close to where you want to be when you press tab to skip already seen dialogue. These days I only save when there are multiple paths / game states to go through, otherwise I just rely on autosaves entirely, and they've never given me trouble so far.

why does everyone make the MC dumb as hell to advances from women? why does the dev go from one foreplay at the end of an update completely naked to another update that ends with even more foreplay completely naked? 2 adults acting the same as the kids in the story when it comes to sex? Then the only time you actually have sex is in a dream sequence or a flashback lol devs are beginning to all be the same. I'm actually overloaded now on boobs from this game i dont even click the head anymore to get flashed, things are repeating in almost every game from the way devs milk their supporters at least the renders get better that seems to be the only upside. I didn't have a save point from before the last scene, where mc and sis are in bed. I just started a new game in v0.6 and scrolled through it with CTRL, then reached the part where 0.5.1 ends and it just stops there again. I think something is just wrong with v0.6.
I didn't get a question if they kissed or anything.

Can't be bothered to go through it again. I'll try again if a fix is rolled out or if someone can share a save.

I had the same issue, but only with the very last save i made in 0.5, so i loaded the second to last save i had and it worked, might be worth trying.
Edit: If you installed this version why are you using a patch ? the extras version doesn't need it (last i knew anyway), and probably causing issues for you

Tried loading a couple of the auto saves, also not working. Maybe there's something wrong with the MEGA file? I'll redownload another version to try.

I redownloaded it from NOPY and now it is working. It gave me the question at the end of 0.5.1. Not sure if the mega one is bugged or me deleting 0.6 from my hard drive and then loading an auto save fixed it.

i expect a story to move along not keep going over being dragged along with different shy, beating around the bush kiss > shocked > kiss again > handjobs > blowjobs maybe a handjob or blowjob in a dressing room > then a handjob or blowjob from a different girl then another different girl then prob do some foreplay in the car or whatever then by the next year or two they finally have sex...... shit don't work like that at all lol.

Well, you are right.
MrDots games are never a "freeroam". MrDots still holds on his vision to tell a story (visual novel). The story over here is about MC helping his sister to get to run the hotel and fight all hindrances. All other characters are more or less just side-kicks of the story. Some will involve more, some less. Some will find themself in one of the endings, other will not. You can't get all. ALso you miss some content if you are on the one path, if you play the other path you will miss other content.
The main story will stay more or less the same though.
You choice is "only" HOW the main story is fleshed out. None of MrDots game(s) will end in a complete Harem.
Beer brewery will always mainly brew beer, vinery will always mainly produce vine.
Some Developers will do harem fuck feast games, MrDots will always do mainly STORY, which is fleshed out by side-kicks. That meaning: Not a story, which is on player's decision, but on MrDots vision. The only part which involves the player is how the main story will envolve, not to lead the main story at all.

Sorry, no. I understand. I'm not saying "we should be able to go with all the girls and have a harem", I mean there's a main girl and then there's "everyone else" and the everyone else pile never gets the same amount of screen time love as the main girl. Even if you choose them at the end of the game, you'll still have less time with her than if you had gone with the one the developers obviously want you to go with. And because of that, the everyone else pile will always be fighting it out with the others to get centre stage for an update. Some characters may only get a scene per update, sometimes less. Which is a shame as inherently, the characters are all interesting and probably worthy of their own game.

Yeah, I guess Devs have to manage their workload and so they focus on a main LI with a few side characters. They usually try to create a character that will appeal to the majority of their fanbase, but I am not convinced this is the best approach. Looking at Sunshine Love alone, you can see how divided people are over who the best girl is - I for one would prefer to avoid the Friend and the constant drama that surrounds her.

It would be great if more games avoid main LI, create 3-4 option that cover the main archetypes, and devote equal time to each. Happy to see some Devs (e.g. Love-Joint) taking such feedback into account and making their new games less linear.

You'll never get consensus on who the best is. You can put it to a vote but most games will have an even spread with maybe an outlier. Especially with this dev who actually spends times to give the characters some depths as opposed to a rabble of sex mad carboard cutouts that other games tend to throw out.
