Well, I've sung my praises about this game in the past, but unfortunately we have to deal with some shadow this time.
Renders are still great, we finally get TWO stars (YAY!) and have already completed the first task on the way to the third. I feel Ushigo won't make it to Week 12
as he already asked us to look after Yuki when he passes on. And apparently Sunshine Bay moved from Croatia (Dubrovnik) to Norway (Bergen) in one update - that would at least explain the snow.
I've encountered two sex scenes in the update (well, three, but the first was fingering only), one nice, one hot. In general, the first half mostly dealt with the No Boob Squad (Connie, Carissa / SC, Yuki) with the other ladies coming in later.
Let's get to the inevitable:
* Save games did not work, I had to load an older save which initially was not a problem. Thanks to
Hyperserver for the hint of saving earlier. This was the first time I remember saying this, and I've hung around the forums of all your dev team's three games. However, could you pass along to the Powers That Be to include a little "This is the penultimate scene of the update. Please go back one line and save here in order to avoid errors next update" warning during the game?
* It became a problem once the save did not respect my choices. It was my main save (I have other catchup saves for Yuki and Trisha) for the Sara / Half-Sister, Carissa / SC, Ivy and Ashley path. Imagine my surprise when it threw me onto the Yuki path (MC said that he wanted to grab a lunch before his next appointment, then there was a loading pause and suddenly I found myself in the harbour with Yuki) and mentioned things like the water plane that I've never encountered in this save. It then proceeded to load the "Some hours later" screen three times.
* Being on the Ashley path I had, as opposed to it being mentioned in the WT, no opportunity of choice to drive home to the hotel earlier. Not that I really wanted, but still...
* That dig site in the mountains looked weird, more like the sea with roadworks barriers. Colour me confused.
- And finally, porn logic:
* Soooo, there is this big festival in town, the biggest of the season that brings in a lot of potential customers, that will definitely benefit the hotel, so maybe we should prepare for it. It will start on Saturday, so what happens? We learn about the festival on Monday (you couldn't have called earlier, Ivy?) and start meeting relevant people (Ashley and Trisha) "some days later" on Wednesday. And are supposed to renovate an entire wing of rooms - well, one by one as much as we can do, but MC promised the whole wing to the twin - by Saturday with the qualified person in hospital and the half-qualified person busy with the health spa section.
* Speaking of which, we have ONE person running that area, who is supposed to simultaneously massage three clients and give Yoga lessons. At one point MC contemplates hiring more staff (no shit, Sherlock, what was your first clue?) while being worried that Jazmin may not like having to work with others (REALLY?
)...
* So you are late with your half of the mortgage, putting your "We were ON A BREAK!" girlfriend into the dumps, so this should be priority number 1, but what does our hero do? Buying a surfboard instead. On loan. Yeah, this will sit really well with Nicole
(who we probably have to save from an assassination attempt in the future) and rightly so.
Still, looking forward to how thing will develop with the girls and Nicole
being in town now. One thing I know is though, as much as the game will allow me, Svetlana will be watched closely and held on a very tight leash.
