Never played any of the other games, and gave 2 stars mainly because of the ending. A bad ending ruins a game/book/movie/etc completely.

nothing against 2 stars if you didn't like it. 2 stars is a bad review, and you are entitled to give a bad review if you are gonna tell what you didn't like. At least you PLAYED IT until the endings, so you can give an overall review.
What we were talking about are those "1 star reviews" (worst game ever ... yada yada yada ....) which have nothing to do being objective - or else some other games must have -1 stars.
If you like it or not, i guess we can agree that SL is NOT the same as the worst games over here. All i said is, that most reviews are biased towards the one way or the other (1 or 5 stars - never something between).
I mean, i gave several 1 star reviews myself to other games - but then i told in detail why i gave 1 star - and that wasn't only because of "boring game" or "feels repetitive".
People should start to do real reviews and not just black/white - then maybe we developers would listen even more. For now it looks like they are just haters - and no one listens to haters, as haters gonna hate no matter what. All energy put into there is wasted anyways.

- When playing the Shortcake ending (non-incest), there were missing jumps points that were needed for the logic to jump back to. This has been fixed now.
An issue with the BFF ending:
We had a number of members mention that “The BFF” ending icon was not unlocking in the endings replay gallery. This has affected anyone who had the incest version (disabled).
It has been fixed now so if you’ve played through until the end of that ending, the unlocked icon will now be visible and unlocked in the ending replay gallery.
The same for the All Girls Harem endings. Those endings should have only been available on the incest version of the game instead of both.
That has also been fixed now.
Broken Saves from the previous update:
As stated in the Game Day post on Wednesday, some of your saves might not load due to ongoing issues with Renpy.
We have made some attempts to fix this issue, but we could not replicate it in house to confirm if it solved the issues.
We did try to have some of our members who reported the issues try the new versions before this release, but we have yet to hear back from them.
So for those of you who are still struggling to find some of the endings because of save issues or lack of points (and have the Game Walkthrough), and don’t want to play from the very start of the game again, there is a simple solution to this.
When you open the Chapter 3 app, select "New Game" and look for "Manual Entry".
Then answer each question and when you get to where it asks you to enter the points for each girl, put 350 for each.
It will give you the max totals for each girl automatically.
Then simply speed run through to the new update and you should be able to find all the endings you’re missing.
Final thoughts:
We appreciate all the feedback that we’ve received over the past few days from you all.
We understand that not everything was to your liking, it can’t always be.
The reality is, we could’ve created over fifty different endings given the size of the cast of characters that have featured throughout three chapters of Sunshine Love.
We felt we had to prioritise some endings over others which is why some of the more prominent characters in the game had more detailed endings.
Sometimes we like to leave a little mystery in our games and what could happen in the future on specific paths.
Therefore, it could be down to your own interpretation of what happens after a path concludes.
Whereas some paths have a more definitive conclusion.
And then there are characters that don’t have their own ending, but the better idea was for them to feature on another character’s ending instead.
You might think that it’s been difficult to get all the endings, but this is a game just as much as it’s a visual novel, and games aren’t always meant to be simple.
Anyway, we sincerely hope we’ve given you enough reason to play SL over and over again, and maybe even find scenes or paths or game endings that you may not have the first time around.
As you can probably tell, even though we do numerous checks and beta tests before each update is released, not everything goes according to plan and sometimes things get overlooked.
Or we simply have no idea about issues in our releases until after the update has been put out.
Thanks to everyone who has let us know of any problems that they’ve found since playing the final release, and also to anyone who did some testing to help make sure we fixed some of them.
We sincerely wish you all a safe and Happy Christmas, and we look forward to sharing some previews and details about our brand-new game, which will be our fourth VN.

finally got thru of all endings, very nice and very long update (since most endings were like mini episodes), plenty of sex and funnies, only bad thing was that if didn't break up with nicole she invited herself on some endings.

that's not what i said.
We know that some people think our games feel the same - and we are gonna change that (also mentionned before).
It was about giving 1 star "because all games feel the same".
That would mean that all 3 games would have to get1 star, as all three feel the same.
There is nothing bad to give a low review, if you are able to point out flaws within a game - but giving the lowest possible review just because someone "feels all 3 games the same" ist hillarous. 1 star means that it can't be worse.
It only shows that reviews over here ain't nothing to be taken serious at all.
And if you give one star only because this game feels the same as the 2 others, then it only proved that you havent understood the point of a review at all. (Basically even the review rules don't allow to compare a reviewed game to others - just saying. But that's another point)

I've honestly never given a review anywhere of one of your games. After the dustup on Discord, I've steered clear. But i did finish SL, because i went so far with it already.
