Well that might actually be the wiser choice indeed, it is not her fault but what her parents did seems to have seriously stunted her emotionally. Writers though decided to do same to MC and give him a background where he cares just as much for her and needed her emotionally as other way around. Make no mistake it was the sis that got him over the loss of his mom in their backstory and he does not have his own anxiety problems he partly dealt with for nothing so he can help the cousin. So I am afraid MC will be doomed to take care of his little sis, if not in bed still outside of it.

I just tested this game and to my surprise it didn't really convince me, I mean, I was a little disappointed. I didn't really see a concrete proposal in that game, an interesting story. I saw some comments talking about the dialogues and scripts, saying that the writing is silly, I also agree. Another thing is also the sound effects, we hear a knock on the door, door opening, but no moan in the sexual act. The rewards for finding donuts, what's that for? you don't even see the girl very well without clothes or just underwear. Dude, the game has great renderings, great animations but what a start and continuation graceless.

Save Files For Sunshine Love v0.0.2

Every time a new update gets posted, some of you have trouble loading your old saves.

This isn’t a problem with the game itself, but with the game engine. Unfortunately, new versions of the game won’t fix this most of the time, so if your save doesn’t load, you’ll have to start over again.

I know that some of you might not want to do that, so in order to help you out with this problem, I have decided to upload a list of save files that you can load into your game, so you can continue from where you left off.

All save files are compatible with the latest version (v0.02) and they all load at the end of each update. This post will be updated as new versions gets released.

You must be registered to see the links

All you have to do is copy the save that you want into your saves folder. It is usually located here:

Windows: Users\*name*\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\SunshineLove-Saves
Mac: ~/Library/RenPy/SunshineLove
Linux: ~/.renpy/SunshineLove
Android: Android\data\com.mrdotsgames.sunshinelove\files\saves

Alternatively, you could copy the save into your game's saves directory here:

SunshineLove\game\saves

IMPORTANT: This will replace the first slot of your saves, so make sure to backup your old saves before.

Hopefully this can help you avoid the issue of starting the game over again.

Mr Dots makes awesome renders, but at this point, I don't actually like either the MC or his sister, certainly not enough to keep clicking through multiple more scenarios of them being unreasonably pissed at each other.

Personally I don't think I ever had any issue with either DMD, Melody or Sunshine Love (not using SL, for me that's Sisterly Lust...).
But I did have some issues with other Renpy games, and usually going back a bit does solve the issue. I usually save when location changes, sometime more when they stay a long time in the same place, or when there is a choice that seems important.

Well it's a visual novel, so I don't expect to fuck right away, it takes time to develop the story and characters.
With DMD it took quite a long time for the MC to have a proper fuck (I think it was with Olivia on day 9), and a bit of playing with no release with Elena on day 6. For D there was A LOT of grinding, and we only got to fuck her on chapter 2, day 21...
With Melody it was different, because there was Isabella at the beginning and when she visited on week 3. After that, it was some playing with Rebecca on week 3, then with Amy on week 4, again a fuck with Isabella on week 4. The first fuck other than Isabella was Rebecca on week 6, first playing (a bit) with Melody was on weeks 5/6 and we had to wait week 9 to get to fuck Melody.
So my point here is that it's quite normal for it to be long, it's a porn game yes, but also a visual novel which has to give some depth and progressive climbing.
I don't expect a fuck with the sister before a long time, there will probably be some teasing and grinding soon, though.
But I also expect some action and maybe some fuck with other girls soon ; I would say Ashley is probably the most susceptible to do something, but it may also be someone with less background with MC, making it easier to have some action without too much overthinking.
I understand blueballing can be anoying, but it's part of the game, and with MrDots we have some other girls to have fun with while we progress with the main love interest. Unlike some other games with similar stories, let's say Happy Summer, in which we desperately grind (and even grinding is hard to find) without anything meanfull with other girls...

I didn't like branching already at the second update. What if I earned points to character X and a few updates later discover that character Z is way more interesting? Luckily mods unlock all stuff.
