Also from the writing, all the fights seem to be because she's not happy that he's not doing well enough, ambitious enough etc.

Well in DMD and Melody it was clear from the get to go which is the main girl, question is which are the main girls here.
Sure the sister for one. For a reason i don't understand the soon to be ex gf (for those which want to play hotel simulator).

Honestly i didn't even considere Nicole to be a side girl, i thought of her simply as a hindrance/blocker to slow down the development of the other relationships, that there will be a breakup was never a question, only when it happens
...until the choice for a faithful route appeared...

Also in Melody Sophia and Xianne made it both clear that they only want fun no relationship + not much content for both.
Here on the other hand the content is mostly split equal among Sister, Yuki, Shortcake, Twins, Vicky and the Ex Step mom. As far as i see it all of them could be main LI's...although i agree a harem or polyamorous relationship beetwen them would be difficult/unlikely to archiv.

As long as there is a route for Yuki and Shortcake i honestly don't care, not really interested in the rest.
Maybe the Sister if there is a lot of character progression, at the moment i can see her only as a lying, manipulative and ungrateful brat...

I suspect Shortcake will be a main love interest if only for the reason she's actually on the title banner. I'm not sure what the plan is for Yuki. I gett it's early doors but we only really had two scenes with her and both are optional if you select another girl. I can't see someone who will be so important going forward being relegated in such a manner.

At times it feels the dev is relying on the player understanding she'll be important later on in a meta sort of way, as opposed to setting the ground work to make her so. Like "Hey, you've played porn games before, you know how this will unfold, so sit back and not worry about it." She does... weird things. Things you could understand to a degree but certainly not things which would make you side with her automatically. Her thinking needs to be laid out on the table soon. I get pacing is important but another few updates with her being coy will just result in the players not liking her. Especially given there's a wealth of other girls to side with. Vicky has been written very well and there's an argument to be made that she is the main love interest in this game. The sister needs to get the finger out. Really need to get rid of Brodie. He's acting like an anchor on her relationship just as badly as the girlfriend is on the MC.

Honestly, I got the feeling that my main purpose while reading all that cheesy wall of text was collecting the donuts. I thought it was meant to be an erotic game.

Great packaging, but boring content. The story makes no sense at all.

This game totally lacks erotic tension.

I agree. It seems that we are expected to trust that everything is under control and will work out for the best.
If you replace sister with Nicole, a lot what you have said is still accurate. Just a little bit more ground work and explanation upfront, and there would have been way less drama.

and sadly i must say that melody was already much better after 3 updates than sunshine bay is now.

Well if she had been made a partner she could have gotten MC a much better opening at her firm as that of entry level with entry level salary ...... You do know that is a dead end job on purpose right? (and Nicole though young and inexperienced yet in that world should know it as well) He has already failed and no top firm is gonna say the loser at another top firm is good enough for them, so he will be out in a few years when he should be making the kind of promotion that was denied him at his firm. If they really thought he had a future they would have offered him better, he is just gonna be used as experienced cheap labor by that firm. Also firms like that do not have partners under 30, hell not even a child of a partner would climb that high so fast and they would have the best chance going that fast since have some serious protection and have someone with power in the firm looking out for their interest. She just took next step up on her career path and will be out if she does not next time and the extreme stress will be kept being put on her. Also if she had a partner level salary already she would not need to have MC make any income, just having him look after the household and any later children when they have them would be a bigger help for her.

If he would want to stay a lawyer he would be much better off at a smaller firm and possibly a good university posting so could make a name for himself so could get head hunted later for network he built up. Sad but true but he lost and is out for a top firm for now realistically. Jeff does seem to know that world a bit as well, so very sure that entry level job and salary was not a mistake but written in on purpose.

ok, let's make some things clear. For me, Melody = low expectations, amazing outcome of a game. Very good balance of corruption and pacing.

The reason why Sunshine Love has so much fuss about it, is that... they are trying to fix what's not broken.
D and Melody rocked our socks off, with 1 main girl. Why change what's not broken?

So yes, multiple main girls changes their winning condition. I still think it's a great game, but...

Melody was the best, D was the best before going SJW (before mrDots started listening to REEE fans).
Sunshine Love, started with high expectations, has beautiful renders, but results are just good.

And we are used to expect nothing but the best.

Honestly they should have ended DMD early instead, with chapter 3 it was/is going downhill at rapid pace...
I really don't understand why they though it is such a good idea to make a vanilla, lovely dovely, ultra slowburn story to that fuckfest...i mean majority plays a vanilla game because they like vanilla...but what do i know.
I just hope they finish that fast and concentrate on Sunshine Love

I'm actually glad that we got more than 1 main girl this time, i think Hyperserver said that the Nicole faithful route is/was the most fleshed out from all the routes...i really wouldn't want her as the one main girl, neither is the Sister really convincing/sympathetic at the moment.

At some points it feels more like some kind of personalty disorder, in this update she was at least consistent and altogether likeable, a good step forward compared to the 2 previous versions.

I think it's a simpler case of the sister is being written as if they want to ride the MC into battle but there's so much left unsaid to the player it feels you need to rely on meta knowledge of how these games kinda go to be on board.

Wow Ashley went from a 10 to a 8 fucking quick.I was hoping she would become more gorgeous with time like a true MILF. Her young version was perfect so just giving her a thiccer body would have been good enough. I'd like to think that if you choose the Faithful route, Nicole will make more of an effort to visit. This could well give her another perspective on the MC as she sees him finding his bliss in helping his sister. She may have pangs of jealousy seeing all the women he's working with, but since he's only working and not "working it," she would probably have greater respect for him. That seems the only way for the faithful route to work well.

Given what we know about her history so far, I expect she has a lot of trust and control issues, perhaps even conflicting ones. We don't yet know much about any possible traumas she may have experienced growing up (other than discovering a brother, bonding with him, then losing him suddenly with no explanation). Brodie has proven to be yet another disappointment. She saw him as a strong partner, but he's choosing his father's greed over his girlfriend's dreams.

I'm a bit Confused I love the game but I found the scene where she is drunk from the twins do and she undresses infront of her brother strange simply because if he watches her undress I think he wins a point for her but if he looks away and any shy respectfull brother would I thought I saw he lost a point?.
yet every chance sofar to look down her blouse or up her skirt type thing cost you a point?.

And I'ts probly just me thats weired I know but every time the sister kisses MC on the cheek I hear a voice in my head shoulting Dad "insert name" is trying to kiss me again!.

Since I've read through the past weeks posts, after the update dropped, I'll let you know that it will be in the next update where you can break it off with Nicole. If you want quotes it will take me too long to find them all but here's one.

well - they start working on next update after next DMD update - so there is still time to think about....
But honestly:
Sure is, that MrDots will not do 3 paths only for one character - even more not for Nicole.
Sure is, the "faithful-path" will stay (indisputable)
Sure is, there will be a complete break-up-option next update
(option, because you still can stay faithful, if you want to)

So even it's not finally decided (as i told before), right now i don't see any way how to include anything with Nicole in any ways except on faithful-path, which excludes any CQ or MFF actions at all. When they brake up, it will be over. MrDots doesn't want a on-off-on-off-relation.
