I'm not sure you would see much if anything. Jumping storylines to see Nicole try her luck would be a pointless thing to render from a dev point of view. It takes the player away from the main storyline. Unless it comes up in a flashback if the MC asks Nicole what she's been up to. But even then it seems an odd thing to throw into the story. The whole point of the open relationship was to get the MC to a point where he could start to fool about with the women in the game without the associated guilt (and apparently obvious course of simply breaking up with Nicole).

Open relationship isn't happening anymore. That will lead to them breaking up next update.

Too many people complained about it so as of next update you will have the choice to stay faithful or break up.

It does seem odd. Like I get having the option there but given the setting of the game it basically cuts out like 90% of the available content, unless Nicole moves down to where you are. I'm not sure why a dev would offer that as it kinda railroads the plot.

I for myself got the impression that one or more of dev team started to like Nicole too much after episode 1 and wanted her to have a bigger role in game, just that did not really fit setup, her original role in game and impression she gave in first episode so backfired. I may well be wrong though.

I could totally see that. The way she reacted the last time the MC and her had sex kinda suggested she was having doubts but if that's thre case that's a damning little wee peak at how the developers are handling the game. I get it's Agile and all but that's a pretty big thing to suddenly feel the need to ram in.

As I think I said earlier, unless Nicole actually comes down to where the MC is, she's basically an anchor on the entire story as it becomes less a porn game and more a shitty hotel management game where you don't actually do any hotel management.

I think they were actually going for a cuck-queen route for her...got scared....went the open relationship (which makes no damn sense)...then they said she would never take advantage of the open relationship (so why fucking bother with it)....saw the reaction...now a break-up is being retconned.

I'm not sure right now they even know what they are doing with it...the story is certainly being written on the fly currently though, that's obvious.

there are 3 types of NTR
1)Netori: MC having sex with someone who is in a relationship
2)Netorare: MC's love interest having sex with someone else without MC's will.
3)Netorase: MC is willing making his love interest have sex with others.

I wasn't familiar with the term until these forums, but the definition of #3 that I'd seen was coming from the literal Japanese translation is "taken away by sleeping with." If the love interest returns to the protagonist, that's not Netorare. I'm reminded of how people throw the term around in DMD. Even if D has relations with another "Her heart belongs to Daddy."

In any case, open relationships and polyamory would definitely not apply to these concepts.

They would have to change the name of that path from Sunshine Love to Sunshine Blue Balls.

Some players like the girlfriend and wanted to stay with her, I chose the faithful route too.

If any of the other girls take my fancy I will start a save with them. The only other possible choice would be the chef.

There is also the fact that the devs haven't said if this is going to play like Melody or be more open. In Melody if you were sleeping with more than 1 girl you ended up with the bad end.

As it stands the only character i'm interested in is Nicole. I don't like the sister, she's arguably one of the most irritating characters i've seen in a VN in recent memory, i'm not a fan of the twins character models, the cousin and the handymans daughter look far too young and the church girl is just a copy of D from DmD and I was never a fan of that game. No interest in in the sisters mother and boldly going where nearly every man on the island has been before, same probably goes for the aunt she doesn't seem shy and looks the type to be like cheap butter and spread easily.

It's not like i'm missing out on anything spectacular if the sex scenes don't interest me in the first place.

I play these more for the story and characters, my preference is girl/girl stuff so it's not like the sex scenes do anything for me anyway.

It is still early and the chef girl seems interesting so if any of the others change my opinion of them as it develops i'll start another save for them. It's not like i'd do them all on one save anyway, if past experience with this lot have taught me anything it's that will end badly.

I agree with this statement since I'm going for Ashley first then the Sister, then the Twins and finally Kristina, however that doesn't mean I won't enjoy content with everyone else they will be a lower priority than the one's I've listed.

Yeah, this is basically being set up like one of those rom-coms where the hard worked MC moves to the country and "finds themself", only to realise they don't need the money and the hussle and bustle of city life to be happy and instead settle down with a nice wee country girl. It's one of the reasons why I found the availability of the "go back to your girlfriend" route to be kinda odd as it goes against what is very obviously the premise of the story.

Like you invest all this time and effort to get the hotel up and running only to leave afterwards and go back to a 9-5 desk job which you don't want but are forced to take in a dreary city which costs too much to live in.

That's the thing, he did want it. His dream job was to be a lawyer. He lost the job at his law firm and his girlfriends offered him one at theirs with the only problem being he couldn't start until after summer.

No it was not his dream job, it was the dream job of his father and of Nicole, which he then attempted to be great at to please them. Well at least that is what I took away from episode 1.

Yes to me when I played episode 1 it was clear the game was also about MC to become independent from the life his controlling father and his nicer extension in game Nicole wanted for him and overcome his trauma's from youth with help sister and other lifestyle and make better choices for himself besides having possibly a lot of sex and/or a new love in his life. Now that was my take on the way game was setup in episode 1, feels you have a different one.

Well that Nicole was intended as an early anchor was quite clear from the start, just it seems they had not thought through how they wanted to remove that anchor when needed for game or like I said changed their opinion on her during development, leading to what we got in episode 3.
