In life the options really might come down to "we can stay together if you accept an open relationship, or we break up." I.e., "no" to "break up" equals open relationship. "No" to open relationship equals break up. You can't count on being offered the option of no to both.

Those still have that choice in a roundabout way. Say yes to open relationship and stay faithful to Nicole.

They gave us the option, and some of us played it. Nicole apologised for making the stupid proposal and had a whole change of heart. So it's not like some of us wanted something we couldn't have.
Correct. Since they gave us the option before, some of us (probably a major minority), actually chose to play the faithful route. Doesn't mean I have no interest in the other girls, but for that I would choose to break up with Nicole and have a separate playthrough with them.
Not sure I follow you here. How do you align "salvage the relationship" with "we both get to do what we want with who we want"? As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing to salvage once you start sleeping around with other people. In the case of Nicole and the MC, they were in a long term monogamous relationship. You can't salvage that when one party (in this case Nicole) all of a sudden decides to have sex with other people, and your only choice is to agree with it. Again, we did have the choice before to say no and stay with Nicole, and also to break up if we wanted to be with the other girls. So really, everyone already could have had what they wanted (from playing like a monk to playing the field).
They did, and you're right, we were happy. In fact, no one had a reason not to be happy before (unless you can come up with one). Exactly what benefit does this open relationship now bring that we didn't have before? Cuckqueen? So some form of cucking planned down the road? Only instead of her cucking you, you cucking her?
Interesting how Hyperserver has been very quiet about this lately (we all know he's been pushing for it).
Probably the only thing to do now. But I really do hope she does have a change of heart soon and actually will want to salvage their relationship (other than her wanting to watch him fuck other girls).

They took the "don't agree" option away. It's gone. We have to play the game as it is. I may not agree with their decision but it's been made clear they don't intend to change it back. You can of course keep trying. But they seem pretty determined and I personally am not going to try as I am quite happy with the open relationship option. Many others seem to want to break up with her. A minority want to continue a one-sided open relationship (which is still an available option since we know Nicole won't do anything on her side) or be faithful (no longer available.)
Within the context of the game as it stands, open relationship aligns with "salvage the relationship" because it's the option that allows you to continue having a romantic relationship. I'd expect the difference between cheating and an open relationship is obvious.
If you take "agree" as "forced to agree" then I see your point. That's not how I see "agree." It's a choice. You don't have to. But if you want to continue having a relationship with her then that's how you do it. If you see that choice resulting in a relationship you no longer want then you have to break up with her.
The could have added the option to break up with her, not replaced the "don't agree" option with "break up." But I understand their reasons as stated on the discord post I read (too many branching paths.)
Other people came up with one for me. It's why the choices were changed. They wanted to be able to break up with Nicole but were not given that option.
Well it's not new, so no added benefits. The previously (and still) existing benefit is that if you're someone who wants to sleep with other women and keep your relationship with Nicole, you can choose open relationship.
You can't have cucking, on either side, in an open relationship. No one is being unfaithful in this scenario.

sorry, what does it means by behave strangely? just an unmatch conversation or something significant? also, if we have to re-play with 0.0.3.1 doest we start just from beginning of ch 3 or it has to from the start?
She is from Dating my daughter.
Gerald also makes an appearance in DMD. Jasmine is sister Martin, one of the character in DMD.

This month has taught us that the ones most easily triggered are those who have been saying "fuck your feelings," and calling others snowflakes for years. Some people are used to working for progress step by step. Others expect their point of view to be centered and catered to at all times and when frustrated, many freak out.
EDIT: Not surprised that some people find this so triggering that they are moved to cover their face in shame. ;-)

finally today i will be able too breakup with nicole on my main playthrough i am all in on romance path with the sister and it just did not feel right too pursue a pure romance route with her while you had too stay in an open relationship with nicole, my other playthrough will be an attempt at some kind of harem and there it is different on that one i will play the open thing but will probadly wait a few updates before i experiment with it.

Will see if that's enough - because lord knows I don't wanna be forced to replay the entire game.

With 0.0.3.1, I re-started at the beginning of Chapter 3, and during play was asked two questions about previous choices it did not know the answer to, so hopefully that will be good enough, and does not require a total restart.
