Yeah, the hotel goals, that throws realism totally under the bus, of course. No hotel would go from no stars to five in 12 weeks. But I still like the premise to fix it up.

I really hope she doesn't heh. I mean, she looks lovely and all but games which bury you in characters you can fool about with usually end up shallow as hell, as no one has the time to ever be fleshed out. Hell, look at WVM

I also prefer a smaller cast (esp. love interest wise) in favor of more fleshed out characters, like you said. And I also appreciate a story that manages to be more than just a vessel to transport lewd and porn scenes.
But there are a lot of folks that prefer the more direct pornographic visual novels and games. Those that don't loiter around too much with "unnecessary" story or character introduction and development. That in mind it makes sense that they prefer harem or just tons of different characters as possible, because a bigger cast inevitably gives more visual stimuli variety.
Some people need "only" visual stimuli where the story is embellishment at best (your WVM example seems to fit tendentially more in this first category). For other people it will suffice to just read erotic literature, with like no visual stimuli at all. And some folks are apparently a mix of both (for example most if not all of the VNs in my signature). I mean whatever floats the boat, right!

Just imagine: the game grind would be days of giving sponge baths, changing bedpans and catheters, checking vitals, that sort of thing. Real exciting stuff!

OK So after playing to the end of the update I have to say I was quite pleased with how the girfriend dialogue was handled when it was changed a few updates ago. That said, I'm not intending on going on a sex romp.
Connie is adorable.
Seems every game has a bigger douche/antagonist than the last though. This guy is harsh. Would love to see the wife leave him and her and Connie live/work at the hotel.

this game and update is good, just need more Sarah, Roshi's daughter and Connie for me. But damn this is one slow burn...
