Maybe you're not. A lot of other people did. They wanted a one sided open relationship or to break up. The idea of a fair open relationship where both got independent action was unacceptable to them. That was the only point I was making about the open relationship.
There's no evidence that she wanted to screw around without breaking up. And since an open relationship requires consent from both parties and allows both parties (in a real open relationship) to fuck around with other people, she proposed it while being fully aware that it meant sharing him with other women. The only reason it backfired on her was because there was an outcry from a certain section of players/readers who didn't want her to be allowed to fuck anyone else (while wanting their MC to fuck anyone who took their fancy.) It's all in this thread (and probably the discord) somewhere.
She may not be a main character, but she's a very present and active one.
We're rehashing old tales here. It no longer matters why or how, because it ain't gonna change. Nicole got screwed.

no it would not be the three letter word because it would be an open rel. with consent the problem was the player had no consent in this matter so happend the outcry from "certain people" and yes i am one of them and the other option was nicole only... (why play the game route)
i think more nicole was screwed over by the dev´s wich didnt think through their idea and the matter that the average player dont read dev logs and announcements (uhh manual whats that???)
so they thought open rel. oh she will fuck other guys a really home made drama by the dev´s
I understand that this is not an ntr game for players to see Nicole with someone else but I really don't like cheating on her so I'd rather break up with her because she doesn't deserve to be cheated on. This the reason why I really don't like forced relationship in game because I will be forced to cheat too coz there is now way I will stick to one girl in an adult game. This would have been better if Nicole is one of the LI that MC can pursue instead of having her as GF already right at the very beginning

SanchoMod - Progress Update
Good evening. I'm still porting several titles at once but thought I'd post an update on some of the extras I'm working on in addition to the base port for this title (see previous teaser post here for info on that).
Besides progressing the the ChoiceGuide proper, I've implemented everything to be dynamic to ipatch, character names/re-naming, etc on the fly...even save descriptions which I've chosen to describe for this particular update posting along with the ChoiceGuide progression. I was thinking of new ways to inform the player in more detail regarding path/route forks as I've done in my other mods, but wanting to push the boundaries even further while still keeping it efficient so the player remains engaged.
I'll lay out the following scenario, the first branching of the VN with the Church/Cuz choice of where to visit first. Goal 1) make informative and efficient guide as notorious with SanchoMod 2) give as many resulting consequences as reasonably possible without it being a chore on the player and their potential attention span 3) recommend minimum save points and minimize keystrokes in their potential naming. Here's some teaser examples of that thought process in 100% debugged and working code (I'll put in spoiler tag to limit the size of this post out of respect to others that don't give a flying rat's ass):

Hello guys, Came across this game today and having been a fan of Melody a previous title i was excited to give this a go. I downloaded the game for Android and used the Mega Link upon trying to install it I get almost to the end of the install bar and it tells me the app will not install. I have plenty of room for the game to install and am up to date with all the software needed to run the game and am trying to run it on the galaxy s20. Any help would be appreciated.
I mean it's unclear what she wanted to do before the idea of open relationships was incepted to her by means of characters/plot. All she said to her sister was they should go on a break which is a vague term that could mean anything depending on who's saying it. We wouldn't have had a game but if they did just go on break the MC probably wouldn't have slept with anyone. If you breakup with her the MC goes on saying how he thought she was the one he'd marry and there goes 5 years being wasted. Even if you agree to go into an open relationship and you did sleep with Victoria before agreeing he goes on about how she mentioned it and he was drunk which lead to sleeping with Vic but he shouldn't have done it.
I haven't been following this from the start, did MrDot make it clear at like the planning stage that this game would be about/have open relationships? Cuz it's a niche af thing, even IRL, and I'd say the perception of it online is that it usually leads to cucking or falling apart. Especially when the story has it being pushed for her to try it out, that's like usually the plot to a lot of NTR doujins. Plus it's also got that cliche of "the GF/Wife's friends ruining relationships by giving dumb advice". I think if Nicole wasn't pushed into it, by the story/characters, and she thought of going into an open relationship by her own thoughts maybe the backlash wouldn't have been as bad. I mean he could have still implemented but in the end it'd mean less Patreons/SS and less money.
It's still a porn game targeted towards males at the end of the day and to quote that dumb Buzzfeed chick, "... video games, because this is what it does! It appeals to the male fantasy!". And when it's got a niche that like 80-90% of its audience can't get behind it's gonna be a bit rough to implement it.

To my knowledge no, only after the backlash they said that this was planed as a cuckqueen path, so no sharing, ntr etc. IIRC one of the dev's also got a bit hot headed in this thread, which lead to even more confusion/backlash...
Well back then there were no signs that she would be fine with just watching the MC, iirc as the MC asked her about a threesome her answear was, her with two men.
Yeah that advice from Gorgina was just crap imo, also to my knowledge of DMD (which is is dated) Gorgina was not in a open relation, but in a poly relation with the MC and his daughter, which is something different.
There where also many (including myself) who thought of Nicole just as a blocker, not a real LI and that the break up will be granted, add to that she wasn't exactly portrait in a good light...so many were rather upset about having no choice to break things up, being forced to be either Nicole only path or open relation was a bit like a slap in the face.
Overal i think the cuckqueen path with Nicole was not a bad idea, but not good implemented and at the wrong time.
The relation beetwen her and MC was already bad/strained.
They were on a break (which can mean many things) and in different countries .
Than how her sister and that client of her's braught that idea up, like a solution for solving relationship problems.
The whole thing is suggested by a call, with a rule that they wont talk about if anything happens (kind of a bad approach as trust and being open should be mandatory if that should work).
Lastly u had no real choice to decline it (only yes and only Nicole path).
Now if u had waited a bit, like now when Nicole is visiting Sunshine Bay, that could have worked much better.
Have her talk with MC, so their relation is at a better starting point.
Maybe have her getting aroused as she keeps seeing MC with other girls and she imagine him with them.
Make it her own idea, as she keeps getting off from imagine MC with the other girls.
Have a open talk with the MC about her idea and the choice for the player to decide.
That would have worked much better and if the players are seeing that her fantasys are about the MC with other girls, the whole thing would have been much better received , of course thats just my opinion.

whatta update, mc had plenty of sex and story advanced somewhat and biggest surprise came after festival which ended too soon (most likely "thanks" to twins and kristina's daddy "dearest).
several scrshots:

Like the story, hate the open relationship / won't work out - and hate the lilly and her sister rel in that you don't seem to have any choice but to do what they want - MC should always have an option to say NO.
Now Nicole was stupid the mc would never have cheated on her thus there was no reason for her to ask / dictate to him that they alter their relationship, and yes I would have immediately broken it off from her at that time. otherwise the story of reconnecting with suzie is great, the mother is very sexy but again there should always be a way to say NO, including Trisha, it was a bit late to wait till episode 8

Enjoyed a lot the last update. Anyone knows how routes it will have? I really like MC's friend and Vicky. I hope there is a route friend + Vicky. Friend's cousin and Yumi are cute as hell, but Friend and Vicky are my favorite ones, friend is the best girl so far
