Not really the wind guy can repair the atmosphere and we can count that monster of high class have a barrier of some kind we are talking god Like beings. We are not talking ants Killing an elephant we are talking superior existence human techno and weapons is made for mortals beings those pricks are over the natural law look ella just hit the 5 and warps space thats warhammer chaos gods shit . The nukes can fuck a city yes but an asteroid? A moon ? You Will Need a lot of them of course human tech needs to evolve as always that our way of doing things nothing Motive mankind More than survival .
You make an important point here that many people dont understand about nukes. The largest nuke ever tested was the Czar bomb, which had a yield of 100MT. That bomb was so ridiculously huge and heavy that even if the soviets wanted to field missiles with czar bomb warheads, no missile large enough to carry it existed (and I dont think any do now either, at least not in active service). And that tzar bomb would only be enough to maybe vaporize a mountain. MAYBE. Like if it hit Cheyenne mountain where NORAD used to be located, it could possibly vaporize it or at least blow a huge chunk out of it. But this is theoretical, nobody has done it before. In practical terms, there is a reason why many nuclear tests were done underground. Earth, and especially rock, and ESPECIALLY hard rock like bedrock or granite, is damn near indestructible.
The largest known underground test was 5 megatons by the USA (the Cannikin test, November 6th 1971) on the Aleutian island of Amchitka. That’s about 400 times the power of the Hiroshima bomb, exploded at a depth of 1.87km. It produced the equivalent of a localised earthquake of 7.0 magnitude on the Richter scale, but did not vapourise the island.
So the misconception people have with nukes is that because they are so powerful, you can just chuck them at large solid bodies like asteroids or monsters and just destroy them. While you can certainly change the appearance, dent it, or blow a huge hole in it and possibly even steer an asteroid off course enough to miss if its small enough or your nuke is powerful enough, in practice its probably not going to do much. The other big issue is that even if a nuke is powerful enough to theoretically vaporize or destroy the target, it might not because too much of its energy will be lost to the surroundings. In other words, you need to focus the blast into your target much like armor piercing explosives. Shaping a nuclear blast requires containing it, and containing a powerful nuclear blast usually means burying it underground and cutting a channel for the blast to follow, so you can't just lob the missile at your target and expect to get a focused blast. At the very least you'd need a two-stage bomb that first impacts and buries itself deep in the target, then detonates. We have something like it called bunker buster bombs, but those things are nowhere near powerful enough to punch through a giant supernatural mountain monster and you'd probably get superficial surface level damage if at all.
Just for reference, you could focus the entire output of the sun on the earth and it would probably still take weeks to fully vaporize the planet. Boiling off the atmosphere, oceans, etc. and completely erasing all life on the planet? sure that will happen quickly, but actually breaking down all the rock into slag will take way longer and way more energy. Also why for example the death star is ridiculous in fiction, imagine how much power that laser has to just fire it at Alderan and moments later the planet just blows up. We're talking multiple stars worth of energy all focused in one point.
