I know Bernhardt is HIM, and I even put him on par with the Apostles at this point. But the Eye is written to be on that level or even higher. I didn’t expect him to win, but at least do something to justify the hype and make us excited for what’s to come. Even the Shopkeep has stronger feats and more hype, lol.
If MC can replicate that cool "invulnerability-by-shapeshifting-your-body-to-not-change but keep it up while moving, everyone will be jobbing to him.
To be fair apart from finally working on his Memory powers, the MC hadn't changed that much from when the Eye was last released in the Battle of Diamonds. But you don't even understand the level of him Bernhardt operates on. He's HIM, has been HIM and will continue to be HIM. I can't remember which stream it was, but WeirdWorld was glazing this man like he was Gojo, and basically described him as the perfect superhuman who had literally everything that could go right, proceed to go right in his development.
Didn’t save her from Nyx’s attack though. For me, the MC’s peak will be the ultimate adaptation through Body and Memory. He’d be able to adapt to every situation or power instantly. I don’t know where the fraud Eye fits into that though.
Yes, he’s HIM. But correct me if I’m wrong, the Eye is written like a fucking god from the way it talks. Again, I never expected it to win, but it didn’t show anything, and to make it worse, all it does is use the MC’s base powers like he’s level 5.
The thing is, the Eye as powerful as it seem to be, is not a glimpse at what MC at his peak is gonna be, is basically an alternative path, a shortcut, Eye is basically a super boosted version of whatever MC can do at the moment, but the Eldritch Bum doesn't use things like Memory Techniques, Liquid Form, nor anything, even when he sees Malik back on BoD, the Eye said that he needs at least "one" to fight Malik, whatever reduced the Eye at the state he is right now fuck him, badly, he is incomplete and ultra weakened, still he was far more dangerous than Eishet, as Bernhardt immediately locked in and hit him with an attack that disregard Universal Laws of Physics. MC on his own has potential, than even Bernhardt himself recognize(saying that he is progressing nicely), it wouldn't surprise me if MC in his Fifth is more dangerous than the iterations of the Eye we have seen so far, simply because that's his proper development.
In all honesty, I think it's a matter of the rule of three. I think the next arc might end with 1) MC evolving and 2) MC fully rejecting the Eye. Which means we'd get another Eye dead end, where it potentially goes on a rampage and gets everything it wanted.
Henri is also one of the reasons I think MC and the Eye are a different, unique deal on their own. Henri seem to have been born with whatever Deity is inside him(or he himself being the strength of said Deity reincarnated as a human, Avatar style) the Eye on the other hand, was within Syla, and only passed to form part of MC after Indra killed her.
The Trio of HERO are as a whole, things that shouldn't exist, as much shit we can throw at the Eye, it is a Primordial Being with a lot of innate knowledge, and said Eye immediately recognize what the Trio are, Aberrations, Monstrosities that surprise him how have been allowed to live(implying that things like them are killed before reaching such strength), and between the Three, it recognize Berni as the Most Dangerous, even while understanding that his powers were a worst match to him, Bernhardt is probably less than a Gojo situation as in a extremely talented, gifted fella, and more as a Eidolon from Worm, at a more extreme scope, Malik, Henri and especially Bernhardt shouldn't have even be born on the first place, that's how much of a freaks they are.
Maybe instead of a Dead End, 1.0 ends with Eye taking over proper. It would make for one hell of a cliffhanger.

Oh c'mon man, Bernhardt or Malik literaly destroy the monster world in one of the the ends. These two can destroy planets.
Who knows. All we know with relative certainty that there will be two standard updates, then the v1.0 update, which will coincide with a Steam release along with an early art update and some early game dialogue/scene changes. More recently, I've been hearing there won't be a hiatus, after v1.0, but honestly who knows at this point except WW himself.
