Emily is definitely gonna get powers at some point. There's no way they'd have Ella make such a big deal about how compatible she is and not follow through on it.

We already have a spawn (either directly from an apostle, or from a chosen) of every apostle except Dark and Truth.

idk about pure truth spawns, but Eisheth said Elijah's power is part Truth and Alexis showed up in the Truth path, so she probably has part of the trait too

Tbh i dont get the whole emily hype but probably cause her bad sprite model in the early game. Well for her becoming a spawn highly doubt its an apostle, especially the 7th dark apostle as their chosen is valrahn. And im one of those guys who would prefer not everyone to become a superhuman, there's more risk and fun at play when you have a vulnerable side to the story.

The wrench to that theory is that Ella seems to be unable to acertain what monster would suit Emily the best, but she can clearly see if an individual has compatability with an apostle. Ella has manufactured 3 apostlespawn herself, those being the MC, Michael and Jake. She should, in all honesty, be able to see if Emily was compatible with The Dark.

And regarding apostle spawns its more, it probably includes shen and the moon twins because we know from tanos that they searched far and wide to find suitable "hosts/spawns/chosens" for apostles.
Michael has low compatability with the 2nd but because he is a mega turbo battle autist ella gave him the power pill incase he managed to kill the first monster, probably to experiment and see whta would happen with him.

Honestly I myself have long thought of Emily as Soul-Spawn, and I get wanting to see a human Darkness-spawn. But my point was that Ella should in all honesty have known if Emily was at all Dark-compatible, even if her sight isnt perfect. In all reality Emily's monster progenitor could be some freak outlier that is different from the rest of monsterkind, like the Strength Eaters. Ella's words about the Foxgloves being Strength Eater spawn makes it seem like they either dont make spawn often or that it shouldn't be possible in the first place.
Considering the fact Ella had more than one monster appear at her evolution, and she seemingly received more than just knowledge of her power, could something similar happen to Emily? When the monsters she's compatible with see her, they may each give her something. Or they may all duke it out to take her as their own spawn lol, because she's arguably the most compatible non twin human on the planet and like Ella said the monsters have their own goal for giving their powers to humans.

Twins for creation and destruction. Space Alice, Time Claudia eventually, Mind and Body are obvious. Jake and Michael with Power and Authority, but Jake is iffy. Tiffany for Light and Shen for Fantasy which leaves out Darkness and Truth.
I probably made some mistakes like some would argue that the twins probably wont really amount to much since it is known that Deryl survives in the future going off the dream sequence. Or maybe I skipped over who is the truth representative somehow, some abilities are a bit weird to figure out. If it involves beams I assume Destruction or Power, maybe Creation to a degree, no clue how Truth really works and the fight with Eisheth does not really help in explaining it to me.

Ella could tell that Jake potentially had the chance for Order though. So if it was Soul, she would've got hints of Dark and Light within Emily. However, Ella couldn't tell at all so it's likely a monster that's somewhat outside of the Apostles and the completed traits.
Personally, I think Emily's compatible with the Qliphoth. Seeing as WW went out of his way to make those related to Great Ocean seem rare. I think Emily will be for the sky side of the monster world to make her completely different from everything. It would also explain why Ella can't tell what she's compatible with. Since said monster god seems to have problems with those of Body and likely hasn't made a spawn of its own at all. Ella also likely can't tell it's makeup because it's aura terrifies her.
Oddly enough, Eisheth being of Truth and named Princess of the Qliphoth implies that 9th spawns and their descendants don't suffer from the same issue. With the way it's power is capable of extending throughout all of the spheres, it would seem to be of Body and Truth. The only issue then being that those two traits don't have influence over the immaterial world and Ella should be able to identify it. So it implies that it has some special position in the hierarchy. Potentially even being an unintended side effect of the universe being created. Assuming Emily is compatible with it.
Anyway, the Qliphoth is where I lean with Emily. It so happen to be the only monster that's a bane to Ella.
