Then again, you get like a 150 power boost once you get back to Earth at the end of the update, so it might not be that big of a deal. I think it was more a chance to trade leftover power for skill/money esp since the last 2 updates were the first time all game I had ever run out of money.

Could this possibly be Zack's vision of what happens to Earth without MC? They lose the war, Malik ends up destroying what's left of the Earth, and then moves on to destroy the Monster World (as we see in the satyr bad ends)

Minor notes, but Daryl letting the spider chimera go to live happy lives was adorable.

And that final sex scene was definitely not adorable. That was fucking scary i legit thought the unthinkable was gonna happen during that bj and i was gonna have to replay the entire game without dating Alice super hot tho
I dobut is a vision of the future, mainly because Malik's voices tell him, 'For our world', and the monsters he battle there are supposedly older than many planets, with the world itself looking as more of a Husk than the current Monster World. I think Xanthe(using Nico)is probably sending the top dogs to investigate planets that already suffered the invasion, with Malik being as he is, searching for Humans before finally set his mind to obliterate the whole thing, about the MC, I think he is not really a decisive factor, the dead end 49 give me more the impression of being Malik/Berni/taking the battle to the Monsters, with either of them destroying the system just as a beginning for the true universal war the narrator mention at the very end

hell no man fuck Danu. The cunt who almost kill Alice and Michel. Why would i care about her sob story?even her hubby dosen't give a shit about her.And her powers a questionable since Alice could beat her on day one transformation
With Mc's help, and Ether's supposed help. And the fact that Danu wasn't going all out from the start unlike Alice. And also, Alice might have had help with the battle trance and fresh connection from recent evo, I'm not so sure about that tho because she was very lucid and half-monstefied so I don't know in what ways would that affect.

Whatever the case, Danu is A class, maybe A+ with her golem transformation and Alice should be B+ if not A-. A second fight, the two of them at 100% capacity would be on Danu's side this time, IF Alice doesn't get stronger as Danu recovers from the beat up.

I'm glad WW gave us a lot of bartering choices with actual stakes this update, it gave the game a sense of choice that's been fading out for a while now, especially before the full version. I gave up on the shapeshifter heart for the kid so that little shit better have my power loan or I'm sending the Fairy Alderman to break his kneecaps.
I just use cheats to gain power and skill and corruption

Jesus christ the Jake hate is beyond ridiculous at this point. Jake was extremely special in many ways. He also wasn't nearly as much of a pushover as people say he was.

What a weird fucking agenda.
Did I say I hate Jake? The only special thing about Jake was genetic compatibility, and we've seen multiple people at this point with that same specialty (The Moon twins, Alice, even Emily has theoretically perfect genetic compatibility and is being held back by a weak mindset, which is exactly Jake's problem too.)

And Jake could be the most special snowflake in the world and it still wouldn't explain an Apostle interceding directly on his behalf when in the past, they wouldn't step in for warriors that had won them countless battles because they were too above it all.

Tbh I don't know what it is but Alice kinda pissed me off this update (and in general tbh). Maybe it was her ripping off Danus wings. I know she was an enemy and "killed" Michael (we all know hes not dead), but her brutalizing Danu right infront of Aos while their sad backstory played in the background really got to me for some reason(especially on my second playthrough).

Jake is just that good though. Authority fell in him love when she first saw him.

Because he was a potential inheritor of Order? Because he was just that talented? There are many reasons I could give.

Also, the weak mindset thing is really played up here. His mindset was weak at the start, then got stronger and stronger, and then he either dies or gets his progress basically reset by someone who has both more experience and time training than him... and Deryl. He was just unfortunate, really.

His progress was also ridiculous, considering he fought basically once.

We don't really know what Authority wanted with the MC. I was curious so just now replayed that part.
>Jake gets killed
>MC transported to the lighted alley
>Authority appears
>MC runs
>Authority commands him to kneel
>3 and 4 appear to drag Authority under

It could have killed the MC with a flick of the wrist or its equivalent. The only command given was to kneel in submission. To me the scene reads more like curiosity as to who is this insect that just killed one of its own. It's the third and fourth who are very protective in the scene. Perhaps more than they normally are.

Yeah...

Well, I do wanna say, this wasn't a normal occurrence. MC ate Jake, so this could be the reason the apostles were able to do anything at all.

Eating Jake connected MC to Authority, who decided to do whatever they wanted to via this connection, and body and memory decided to stop it, and they could because they're already connected to MC.

There's really no indication this could've happened in basically any other situation. The dude from the skill heart was just probably just bitching. Body didn't even manifest when it was chosen, Ella, was killed, so it's safe to assume they can't just come to fuck over the killers of their spawn.

That's the point, it's to show the effects of the monsterification

Whatever the case, Danu is A class, maybe A+ with her golem transformation and Alice should be B+ if not A-.
Just to clear up a misconception about the ranking system, the letter is determined by your power, while the + and - is based on your combat prowess compared to other monsters in your rank. If you're particularly effective, you get the +, if your abilities are poor or you have a significant weakness, you get a -.

So, Valravn was C Rank because he had 163 power. He got the + (even in his bird form) because his dark matter slash gives him extreme offense, he has high mobility with his shadow teleportation, and he's immune to 'immaterial' powers (even level 5 Nico couldn't teleport him).
Notably, his rank did not change from bird form to knight form, it was still C+ despite the notable increase in his combat effectiveness from his armour and sword. He did not become B- or C++.

Alice would be B+. She was level 2, which is equivalent to C Rank, and her monsterfication probably boosted her power to B Rank, or maybe even higher. Because of how powerful her trait is, and how good she is with it, she gets the +.
Danu is also definitely A+ with her golem, which is why I suspect Alice may be A+. I'm not sure if any B+ monster would be able to take on an A+ monster. Either way, she's definitely not A-.

P.S. 90% sure this is explained in the H.E.R.O. section of the game, but I don't remember exactly where.

Class is just based on how much power the monster has iirc, with the plus and minus being how generally advantageous it is compared to others of its rank, usually due to its power/biology. For example, the monster that gave Angelina her powers would have a minus, despite its power capacity, because its ability is trash.

Though, if I'm misremembering... regarding the Valravn point, it could just be that the difference wasn't big enough to shift him from C+ to B-.

Yeah the game has made it very clear that turning into a monster is not a good thing. Alice is fine with it and the MC can be if you choose that option but it would be seen as a great failure in any other kind of story. Alice is essentially giving in to her worst impulses and losing her humanity. Both the fairies backstory and the MCs moms wish to become a human again, shows what a terrible faith it is to become a monster.
