Well, there's quite a bit of content I missed out on, I'll try to keep my thoughts short (Yea right):
- I wasn't expecting for Gunvald and Malik to casually be planet-busters to this degree when they are unrestrained in their power usage. I understand Malik is MIA at the moment, but I'm surprised the Monster Gods haven't countered/possess an answer to dealing with the H.E.R.O's top dogs like Gunvald. They have a thorn in their side for who knows how long at this point.
- I missed Emily dearly and was waiting a very long time for her reappearance. However, with the cultist-brain infection that has affected her and Christie, I don't believe either of them will see as much screentime as I hoped for. Most likely sooner than Alice, but that's a low bar to hurdle since the monster world's sky is something even Aos alluded to be would be too much to handle for Gunvald and/or Malik. Simply navigating that environment and retrieving Michael, then escaping the sky, then escaping the monster world entirely to return back to Earth...Man...
Additionally, I'm not sure if I mentioned it before, but before the Twin Arc (Liz & Amber), I was expecting Emily to be the next one after Alice and technically Ella, to be the next superhuman main LI. I don't really have a lore reasoning behind it, but I would assume if Ella had such strong interests in the monster world for so long, and had two ride or die friends in Christie and Emily, I thought she would induce monster powers/knowledge (compatible ones of course) into the both of them to at least defend themselves from the incoming threat(s) much, much sooner. Especially, with Emily stating she would do anything for Yuren to bring back Ella, in which that confession honestly frightens me. At least, Ella recognizes her mistakes and will bring them along when she returns.
-Speaking of Yuren, I can't help but notice his powers are reflective of the periodic table. I don't know why it took me til Uranium to see that realization (I forgot Neon is a noble gas). Pretty neat power.
- Nice to see Claire again, hopefully, she won't have problems with going to M.O.O.N in her current monster state.
- Sin having a council of leading figures doesn't surprise me, but it's somewhat concerning that Tanos doesn't take the opinions of others seriously if that aren't as intellectually-capable as him. In my opinion, I can't help but see Tanos is so desperate to consolidate power to eventually one-up his father (Take a shot for every time Tanos compares himself to his father in Superhuman), he doesn't comprehend trust is necessary for Dexter/ Dr. Xanthe's projects to really shine through.
Does Tanos really believe H.E.R.O's captains would be as effective and arguably OP, if they did Xanthe and/or Dexter's bidding without question or consideration? How about their team(s) of researchers and engineers (Congratulations to Mia and Jake by the way) diving into all this monster research, weaponry development, communication towers, serums, etc.? Nobody can do everything by themselves, not even his father with all his intellect, ideas, and technology. He and Dexter still needed capable individuals that can make their plans happen, and provide vital feedback of their encounters, as well as make decisions on the fly. It's not simply a matter of being more powerful, but also trust. Am I saying that these lieutenants, captains, various members of the organization have unlimited power to do as they please, no, but there's trust in their capabilities/independence.
In short, I don't really care much for Dexter nor Dr. Xanthe to the extent their children certainly do (It's a joke), but they do deserve acknowledgment for allowing expression/autonomy/criticism within their organization, which seems to be ANOTHER disadvantage that is holding back S.I.N from actually competing with H.E.R.O. I think Tanos' downfall will revolve around such a topic. Hell, Dr. Xanthe even gives recognition/praise to individuals constantly.
- A sixth team?! Damn, I have been waiting for this since possibility since Michael gain his abilities. Amber and Liz were just icing on the cake. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be upset with joining Nyx's team, but a new team within H.E.R.O's ranks is a huge significance. I thought along with the new squad formation, there would be an additional slot open for each team to account for all the new recruits, even though that probably would be a pain to account for on developer's side. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's still a 5 person limit for each team? We still haven't meant all of Zack and Lucius' team members (God damn, Kira, Halona, and now Eira got the Amazonian build going on). Edit: I made the previous comment before Eira, Leif, Altai and Melody's appearance. Maybe they aren't relevant as I'm making them out to be, but I do visually crave a short backstory of what caused Zaman and his team to be incapacitated for so long. I will not look down on Zack like Nico does lol.
- Did the likes of Clarke and Alexis always have armor-plating on their outfits? If they did, my mistake. Otherwise, it's a nice touch. Also, when did Nico and Alexis have affection trackers in the stats category? I could've sworn Angelina was always at the bottom of that tab.
- The more screentime I have with Nicolette, the more self-centered she appears to be. It's quite frustrating how little she thinks of everyone, except the likes of Malik and Bernhardt, and our character at times (Even though she sees him as more of a tool than a person of equal/greater standing). It's honestly impressive to make so many of her allies wish to see her suffer and/or knocked back down to Earth. She has her head in the cosmos too much. I want to be reasonable towards Nico, but she's make the mission an S+.
- I hope Lucius clones continue to randomly appear conversing amongst themselves. They are entertaining to me.
- Man, get et you some women with unwavering loyalty to Zaman like Halona and Eira. If the other two unidentified lieutenants are females as well, then I'm going to accuse of Zaman creating Team Kronos to simply be his personal harem. I approve. Just wait until my MC gets his own ha-Too late. I bet Zaman couldn't see that one coming. On a serious note, I hope Zack is okay and not replacing Yuren as the host/Chosen of the First. Abducting the captains to force them to side against H.E.R.O would be catastrophic, hence the reaction from Nyx and Bramon. I've never seen either of them emotionally disturbed.
- Poor Eira and Alexis possessing powers that force them to be isolated from others, despite both desiring companionship of some sort. Thank god for our character, even though, I believe the both of them could be good friends.
-Maybe Tiffany did inherit some of her mother's traits/isn't too cold of an person if her reminiscing on the past/playfully flirting with the MC about a future together is indicative. Too soon until we get some flashbacks concerning her.
- Another universe? Fuck...I hope Malik is not stuck in the Second Sphere, if the Cultists haven't kidnapped him.
- Saved Danica only for her to be on the opposite side of me once again.....
- Careful Zara, I don't want to needlessly put in the same mindless state as Cole, or outright kill you. There may not be Shen, Briar, or plot armor to save you.
- Damn, I wish Michael and Alice were there for that photo, as well as Amber.
-Well...Besides Duncan, there's 14 other lieutenants out of 20, I believe. They better start putting in some work in this next update, especially Henri. There's no Malik, Bernhardt, or Zaman to save us with the immediate threats.
Disclaimer: I'm just giving my thoughts on the content I left off on, not going by update(s). I apologize for how long my opinions but Superhuman is one of the few projects on this site that have seriously enjoyable world-building, characterization, etc. and I wish to treat this game with the respect it deserves. Especially, for holding my attention/wanting more for over 3 years now. However, I will not comment on every single thing I see.
