I don't know why, but I like these more innocent moments. Usually, parts like this are boring—pausing the story in the middle or at the beginning of an epic battle is a turn-off, which wasn't the case here, but you get the point—I liked the homeless people, and especially the interaction between Mc and Ella. Seeing the most depraved, sick-minded, and crazy beings as simple children is cute
The key is that its about characters you're invested in and have a mystery about them. This isn't a backstory about any 2 characters, its about the most important characters in the story, and we are cats who have had these threads dangled just out of our grasp for a long time.

I like how you can literaly see his shoulders drop in this scene .:ROFLMAO:

One moment he is like : " Ok this guy is dangerous but I've got this if I'm careful" and the next he takes one look at Bernhardt's technique and completely gives up any hope of survival.

Jokes asside, what was (L)ang(L)ong's plan here exactly exposing himself so much?

The overwhelming majority supports H.E.R.O and would likely believe them if they said "sorry folks, Supreme Minister is possessed lol", and if not, would see S.I.N not doing anything to the monster invasion and H.E.R.O doing all the dirty job.

Even worse, Nico being occupied teleporting BernHardt was a BIG assumption, H.E.R.O could have very well teleported a potato to the other side of the universe and Thanos would still have said: "tHe HexErInGe dEtEcTeD a HuGE dImEnSiOnAl WaRp1111!!!!!1!1!1", easily failing for H.E.R.O's biggest 200IQ play in the monster invasion, and exposing Langlong for being teleported straight to a cell, and Thanos and the S-Class to an epic beating by Bernhardt and Henrick.

Is S.I.N stupid...?
Well, they simply couldn't do anything else, it was either get clapped by Bernhardt later or risk it all on a final gamble. The people's support doesn't matter much in this situation since the military are already following the supreme leader's order to seize HERO, and if they succeed, they would have enough power to force them into slavery.

In line with what Dinoflaggelate has said, my guess is that they plan to use Dexter as bait/hostage and the S-class to force Hero to deploy most of their heavy hitters away from their base, and then have a squad infiltrate it to extract Ella's corpse and whatever else they need, with another horde of monsters providing chaos outside. This is probably where we "fight" SIN's walking bag of holding with his new and totally not suicidal arrow.

(It would be funny to see Malik fighting this entity by himself and then a portal appears, the cavalry is here... potato... just a little trolling).

Somewhat on the same topic, in the brothel dead end, Malik still destroys Monster World, so it's quite possible that HERO wins regardless.

Well yeah, he keeps choosing the spawn of the 4th.
I feel like Nia is probably the mole here. Would make the most sense given what we've seen. Gets close to Elijah as a means of procuring information, and Elijah is stupid and naive enough to not immediately realize the security risk.
Could it be Deus? He gave Valravn his heart back, so he might be planning something for this event too.

i don't think that dead end is proof humanity wins.
Stephen said it best " The captains are invincible, but humanity is not ", or something like that.

I always thought in that Dead End humanity loses, and either Malik or Bernhardt vengefuly wage war on their own.

Aos implies the Mc will play a role in humanity's survival, so to me it seemed that in that end, given his absence, things could have gone south and that was just one of the captains bringing vengeange to the Monster World.

The only unified feature S class monsters have is that they have huge amounts of Monster Power that dwarfs that of an A class. The actual range of Monster Power an S class can have varies massively. You do have a point in that what we've seen of his powers so far are indeed basic, though depending on how divergent Kira Kelsey's powers are from their source he's likely much more dangerous than he initially seems.
That's most likely the case, Goliath hasn't going all out yet, on the first EyeMC, he takes on Malik, allowing the Eye to go search Ella, if Goliath did indeed fought him to a stale even for a few minutes, he would be aa if not more impressive than Eisheth, there's also the fact that the Memories MC read from the Fox Monster(or dog, that he encounter alongside Met during SIN's initiation), mention that Chosen have the 'Power comparable to that of a Colossi, but with Human-like intellect', other Monsters use Colossi as a point of comparison even for Chosen, they are bred for a Greater purpose, and are old enough for Goliath to know and respect whatever EyeMC truly is.

I suggested some months ago that Goliaths size shouldve been something like 30kms-100kms tall and atleast a weight similar to the mass of the entire earth which is 6 septillion kgs but nah hes just a 6 kms tall gorilla with no superpowers and a weight that follows the square cube law, he only has his size to compensate for his lack of superpowers and hes extremely lacking in that category too, 6-11 kms tall humanoid ape just doesnt cut it, I always expected S ranks to be planetary level you know, special horrifying beings that can threaten an entire advanced planetary civilization just by themselves, cuz I guess S ranks are comparable to lv 5 superhumans, and its said iirc that lv 5s are supposed to have fully ascended humanity and not even all the human beings on earth can stop them no matter the superhuman's powers. Just compare Goliath to Hex for example, Hex can literally create massive dimensions who knows how many 1000s of AUs big, Goliath is pathetic compared to that! Thats how powerful and special S ranks should be, Goliath is an A rank at best, Nico can easily melt him by pouring the Sun over him, Alexis shouldve been able to penetrate him, Clark can just shoot a hole in his chest, Im just saying thats the logical outcome but I guess Goliath has extra dense, extra resistant skin, to be able to resist a colossal iron sword, sun pouring over him, or a chonky laser beam shooting his body, thats his other superpower I guess not just size. I guess not every S ranks are made equal like not every lv 5 superhumans are not made equal, Alexis was just a bad matchup I guess. Most S ranks and lv 5s are probably country level or more not planetary level. I guess I just dont know what Im talking about, Im too tired and Im typing this before going to bed.

So yeah tldr; Goliath is not impressive enough to be an S rank imo.
Goliath is definitely strong for an S-Class, is fair that you expected them to be more Powerful, but as is, Colossi are set to be Special Monsters by the narrative itself, Goliath should be leagues above raw strength of the Fenrir, that could fight off the gravity of the sun and return to Earth, sure that could rise the issue of, 'Show don't tell', but the next update is likely gonna cover that. As of right now, we know that Goliath's not just size, just to move around he would need obscene physical strength, he's huge, strong and unnaturally durable, using the Fenrir again as point of Comparison, she could survive the Sun's heat, Goliath's above her on durability, him being toasted good by Malik wouldn't change that, as that mf can just reach Planck Heat and even without going to that point, can warp gravity and breach Hex's Dimension with his Core Heat.

Yeah, I think some readers overlook what Stephen said, Captains would live on even if the Planet and Humanity falls, we know Level 5 can survive Outer Space without much issue, and with mastery over their Internal Energy, they can use omnidirectional movement even if flight isn't part of their Powers. What is happening right now, what they are fighting for, is as Stephen says, to make things easier for the Captains to save Humanity, they would be okay regardless, Malik reach the Outer Rim of the observable universe in what?, a couple months?, and began to fight an Alien Goddess just like that, those guys are other deal. Still, the Brothel DeadEnd mention that a War for the Universe Fate start along the Destruction of Monster World, so I don't think it was either Malik or Bernhardt alone, others should have survived in that timeline, maybe Malik even use the Power of Friendship to swing the Wasting Mother to his side against the Apostles or something lol

Funny thing about Goliath - I remembered was the fact that he apparently exhales poison. I don't know if said toxic gas is just carbon dioxide, but the fact that he breathes at all got me thinking. At max size approximation of 10KMs tall, his lung capacity would be measured in cubic kilometers. A single exhalation should realistically create hurricane winds and regional microstorms through atmospheric pressure changes. I guess bro is sandbagging even his breathing.

Oh, yeah, everything about Goliath is ridiculous just by scaling. Like, Goliath moves at a speed proportionate to a human. Meaning that, even if it doesn't look that way since he's only seen moving from a distance, he's actually traveling at hypersonic speeds. Human walking speed is 1.5 meters per second, Goliath is around 3400 times the scale of a human, meaning he walks at about 5100 meters per second. That's Mach 15.

Might be someone we haven't met. Del showed how piss easy infiltrating hero is with the right skills
Knowing when Bernhardt would go out on his excursions blowing up planets sounds like high level info though, so that limits the options considerably.

Do we have any actual news on when the beginning art is getting reworked or is that supposed to happen with the fabled 1.0 release?

Version 1.0. Not sure when it'll be, WW keeps saying it is the update after next, but it's been that way for a while now.

damn, just felt like starting a replay so I downloaded the latest version. Should I start it now or just wait until the 1.0?
If it is just an art update instead of a rework of the beginning sections then I'll probably just play now

Well, there's quite a bit of content I missed out on, I'll try to keep my thoughts short (Yea right):

- I wasn't expecting for Gunvald and Malik to casually be planet-busters to this degree when they are unrestrained in their power usage. I understand Malik is MIA at the moment, but I'm surprised the Monster Gods haven't countered/possess an answer to dealing with the H.E.R.O's top dogs like Gunvald. They have a thorn in their side for who knows how long at this point.

- I missed Emily dearly and was waiting a very long time for her reappearance. However, with the cultist-brain infection that has affected her and Christie, I don't believe either of them will see as much screentime as I hoped for. Most likely sooner than Alice, but that's a low bar to hurdle since the monster world's sky is something even Aos alluded to be would be too much to handle for Gunvald and/or Malik. Simply navigating that environment and retrieving Michael, then escaping the sky, then escaping the monster world entirely to return back to Earth...Man...

Additionally, I'm not sure if I mentioned it before, but before the Twin Arc (Liz & Amber), I was expecting Emily to be the next one after Alice and technically Ella, to be the next superhuman main LI. I don't really have a lore reasoning behind it, but I would assume if Ella had such strong interests in the monster world for so long, and had two ride or die friends in Christie and Emily, I thought she would induce monster powers/knowledge (compatible ones of course) into the both of them to at least defend themselves from the incoming threat(s) much, much sooner. Especially, with Emily stating she would do anything for Yuren to bring back Ella, in which that confession honestly frightens me. At least, Ella recognizes her mistakes and will bring them along when she returns.

-Speaking of Yuren, I can't help but notice his powers are reflective of the periodic table. I don't know why it took me til Uranium to see that realization (I forgot Neon is a noble gas). Pretty neat power.

- Nice to see Claire again, hopefully, she won't have problems with going to M.O.O.N in her current monster state.

- Sin having a council of leading figures doesn't surprise me, but it's somewhat concerning that Tanos doesn't take the opinions of others seriously if that aren't as intellectually-capable as him. In my opinion, I can't help but see Tanos is so desperate to consolidate power to eventually one-up his father (Take a shot for every time Tanos compares himself to his father in Superhuman), he doesn't comprehend trust is necessary for Dexter/ Dr. Xanthe's projects to really shine through.
Does Tanos really believe H.E.R.O's captains would be as effective and arguably OP, if they did Xanthe and/or Dexter's bidding without question or consideration? How about their team(s) of researchers and engineers (Congratulations to Mia and Jake by the way) diving into all this monster research, weaponry development, communication towers, serums, etc.? Nobody can do everything by themselves, not even his father with all his intellect, ideas, and technology. He and Dexter still needed capable individuals that can make their plans happen, and provide vital feedback of their encounters, as well as make decisions on the fly. It's not simply a matter of being more powerful, but also trust. Am I saying that these lieutenants, captains, various members of the organization have unlimited power to do as they please, no, but there's trust in their capabilities/independence.

In short, I don't really care much for Dexter nor Dr. Xanthe to the extent their children certainly do (It's a joke), but they do deserve acknowledgment for allowing expression/autonomy/criticism within their organization, which seems to be ANOTHER disadvantage that is holding back S.I.N from actually competing with H.E.R.O. I think Tanos' downfall will revolve around such a topic. Hell, Dr. Xanthe even gives recognition/praise to individuals constantly.

- A sixth team?! Damn, I have been waiting for this since possibility since Michael gain his abilities. Amber and Liz were just icing on the cake. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be upset with joining Nyx's team, but a new team within H.E.R.O's ranks is a huge significance. I thought along with the new squad formation, there would be an additional slot open for each team to account for all the new recruits, even though that probably would be a pain to account for on developer's side. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's still a 5 person limit for each team? We still haven't meant all of Zack and Lucius' team members (God damn, Kira, Halona, and now Eira got the Amazonian build going on). Edit: I made the previous comment before Eira, Leif, Altai and Melody's appearance. Maybe they aren't relevant as I'm making them out to be, but I do visually crave a short backstory of what caused Zaman and his team to be incapacitated for so long. I will not look down on Zack like Nico does lol.

- Did the likes of Clarke and Alexis always have armor-plating on their outfits? If they did, my mistake. Otherwise, it's a nice touch. Also, when did Nico and Alexis have affection trackers in the stats category? I could've sworn Angelina was always at the bottom of that tab.

- The more screentime I have with Nicolette, the more self-centered she appears to be. It's quite frustrating how little she thinks of everyone, except the likes of Malik and Bernhardt, and our character at times (Even though she sees him as more of a tool than a person of equal/greater standing). It's honestly impressive to make so many of her allies wish to see her suffer and/or knocked back down to Earth. She has her head in the cosmos too much. I want to be reasonable towards Nico, but she's make the mission an S+.

- I hope Lucius clones continue to randomly appear conversing amongst themselves. They are entertaining to me.

- Man, get et you some women with unwavering loyalty to Zaman like Halona and Eira. If the other two unidentified lieutenants are females as well, then I'm going to accuse of Zaman creating Team Kronos to simply be his personal harem. I approve. Just wait until my MC gets his own ha-Too late. I bet Zaman couldn't see that one coming. On a serious note, I hope Zack is okay and not replacing Yuren as the host/Chosen of the First. Abducting the captains to force them to side against H.E.R.O would be catastrophic, hence the reaction from Nyx and Bramon. I've never seen either of them emotionally disturbed.

- Poor Eira and Alexis possessing powers that force them to be isolated from others, despite both desiring companionship of some sort. Thank god for our character, even though, I believe the both of them could be good friends.

-Maybe Tiffany did inherit some of her mother's traits/isn't too cold of an person if her reminiscing on the past/playfully flirting with the MC about a future together is indicative. Too soon until we get some flashbacks concerning her.

- Another universe? Fuck...I hope Malik is not stuck in the Second Sphere, if the Cultists haven't kidnapped him.

- Saved Danica only for her to be on the opposite side of me once again.....

- Careful Zara, I don't want to needlessly put in the same mindless state as Cole, or outright kill you. There may not be Shen, Briar, or plot armor to save you.

- Damn, I wish Michael and Alice were there for that photo, as well as Amber.

-Well...Besides Duncan, there's 14 other lieutenants out of 20, I believe. They better start putting in some work in this next update, especially Henri. There's no Malik, Bernhardt, or Zaman to save us with the immediate threats.

Disclaimer: I'm just giving my thoughts on the content I left off on, not going by update(s). I apologize for how long my opinions but Superhuman is one of the few projects on this site that have seriously enjoyable world-building, characterization, etc. and I wish to treat this game with the respect it deserves. Especially, for holding my attention/wanting more for over 3 years now. However, I will not comment on every single thing I see.
