You mean the next update being a prolonged, dire and strenuous fight where after barely holding on it ends with the evolution but not the actual climax ?

Bro I refuse to believe WW would do us that dirty. Fuck no, I don't wanna imagine that.

I feel the next update will focus on other characters' fights. Michael for one. He needs a big solo fight. Either that or these characters will be saved for a return update.
The last time we saw Michael fight alone was his duel with dereks chimera. If you don't count the Alice/Michael vs Met fight.

Thinking about this, I understand a little more why people hate the monster world arc. WW could have given Michael a decent solo fight anytime. Yet the only tough challenge he got was the fight for the portal.
Stakes felt like they were increasing when Danu attacked them in the underground halls.... but then she just ran away and they went back on their merry way.
For an incredibly dangerous world, it sure didn't feel that way at times.

Was the inclusion of Ella doll a plot device that ultimately boxed WW into a corner? She basically soloed an A rank on her own.

Would it have been better if Weirldworld moved the "portal fight" to the middle of the monster world arc, then had the characters make their way to Aos's city, missing a member?

As for the next chapters, HERO is going to be attacked and Nico is going to give up on maintaining the portal and join the defence, meaning all captains will be out of the picture for the foreseeable future. Raising the stakes. (Hopefully)

There are so many things going on it's hard to predict what will actually be covered next chapter. We might get the start of a fight with the MC at the end.
WW just needs to give up on the idea of a 1.0 for the foreseeable future and focus on tying up story threads.

And i think Nico will keep mantaining the portal, its ww's "excuse/reason" why she wont participate in the defense. Henri may be busy with searching for Zack and Nyx could lack mobility or be distracted to stop SIN in time

Sorry but I for one hope you're wrong in regards to the next update focusing on others fights, screw that, it's time to focus entirely on the Mc and progress his own growth.

We've already had a entire update that put Alice in the spotlight ( which was awesome don't get me wrong ), and before her a lot of content for the twins ( to be expected, given their situation ), and the Monster World chapters generaly seemed to put the Mc on the back pedal and focus on the rest of the cast, with dozens of trainning scenes, heart-to-heart conversations etc. Which I liked, but now it's time to re-focus on the Mc.


Also ps, Ella doll specificaly said she could use Ella's full powers back at level 4 but only for like 5 minutes or so.

I kind of expected Emily to get something too. I was half expecting she'd already be level 2 when we got back from the monster world. I guess if it's going to happen for her at all it'll be with Ella's help and that's obviously not on the table right now. The main reason Ella wouldn't before is because Emily didn't have a good mentality for it before MC's involvement, and in Christie's case apparently her body isn't well suited for it. That's like before even considering which monster would be a good fit. Ella wouldn't want to take that kind of risk for two of the three people she cares about more than anyone else. Pretty sure she only rolled the dice on MC because she had complete confidence in his suitability. I'm VERY interested in seeing where WW is going with Shadow though.

Nico I find myself liking more as we get more interaction with her. If everyone was normal humans absolutely not, but given the setting and her own story I think she's reasonably well justified in her thought process. I actually find her more relatable than Malik.

Yeah, Nico is kind of an arse(that might be an understatement), still her thought process is logical, one's worth in the future if you are a Super is probably gonna be decided based on your Power/How Useful you are, the Captains and mostly Bernie and Malik being a goal to surpass just makes sense. Talking about Malik, i do like him a fair bit, while he tries to be a good guy, he's clearly fucked up there, literally hearing voices, he's conflicted, that makes him more interesting imo than the other 'good guys', namely Elijah, i'm glad all the Captains, but even more the Trio of H.E.R.O as the pinnacle of Humanity's Power are their own characters, flaws and all, not just powerful blank pages set to be what MC could reach or grow beyond.

I think the Big Fights next update are gonna be a misc, MC and Deryl against whatever show up on the Campus trying to enter HERO's base, Lexi + Support vs the S-Class and maybe Malik vs The Wasting Mother(he's gonna fight 1vs1 for twelve hours til Bernhardt arrives), though the latter is iffy to be shown, even more so since it would be probably of cosmic scale, making the shitshow on Earth look small in comparison.

Imo Elijah is an awesome character! Hes kinda the showcase that an upstanding, moral, good guy hero doesnt work in this world/universe. Hes powerful, has his own beliefs (against his fathers) and his intentions are always good and right but he just makes things worse whenever he acts.

Thats kinda why hero won me over, despite lots of characters being kinda assholes and they are not respecting any laws or democratic principles, they seem to be whats needed at this point and not idealists like Elias with their heads in the clouds.

In any other avn he would probably the MC, its just this universe which needs a way cooler and more indifferent fucker to get things going

All the captains have really awesome designed characters imo, Lucius the least but thats just because we know the least about him but hes still quirky and memorable lol

Corruption just tells you how evil or something youre becoming and how much you're losing your humanity, theres another value called 'kill' that stacks everytime you kill innocents unnecessarily. So yeah the heart is like forgetting you ever did anything bad and becoming innocent again but you're gonna get karma-ed anyway because of your kill count, I assume.

Yeah, Elijah work well in that sense, and I don't even hate him or anything he's just a little annoying, and naive but in the end he's a good guy, or trying too.

About Lucius, yeah, he's an example of how I think the Captains are nicely done as characters, even with the little screentime they got, Lucius bring on a lot of personality with his very few scenes, he's so sure on himself that you can't even insult him, like other characters that are high on their cloud, and would boil if you don't suck their crotch, characters do insult Lucius and he's just like, "Oh, yeah poor you wouldn't grasp true beauty." Or some stuff like that.
