The problem with this is that, at least some characters are made with specific conditions where only the MC can fulfill and help them. Alice and Michael do not make sense, as Alice sees Michael as a brother, and she does not care about love. You have to push hard for her to consider something with you. Mia can't trust Jake anymore after what he did; you can't come back from betrayal. The thing with the twins, Amber and Liz is that you are not considering that MC is their best friend. He comes first after each other and is the only one with the same mental condition as liz to understand her.
I do agree that harem cheapens it out, but in this case they are beings that will live a lot of time, and there is a lot of leeway there. And also, almost all the female LI's want to be alone and don't care about romance.

I'm not a writer but all it would take is something like Alice nearly dying while Micheal is out gaining power or something for him to realise somethings are important. Jake and Mia can't be resolved quickly, but there are tons of ways to eventually write being together. Obviously, it doesn't make sense right now and it will never make sense because its a harem game and no actual effort will be given towards these relationships. But without that tag, it would be infinitely easy to write. Hell, you could literally just place these characters instead of the mc and it would be much better because of their already existing history with these characters.
The time thing makes it even more hilarious. Are these literal god-like beings all going to settle for being part of a harem for the entirety of their massively long lifecycle? None of them want to be alone. They have issues preventing them from pursuing a relationship, and the moment that's gone, they jump into a relationship.

I have played through the latest update but only read and seen the story from afar, plan to play in scrutiny when the big yap yap update arrives! But for my investigation of the 3 female choices we get this rundown of Liz, Amber and Alice

1. From our first introduction to Liz we learn that she literally ignored us until we became 6'8/6'9 (203-206cm) tall and MonsterDickMaXXED. Obviously the only reason she cares about us is that we might be her saving grace for wageslave cash. Its not wrong from her POV and Liz is sexy, understanding of your psyche so its a good choice for us if we were to pursue a deeper relationship. HOWEVER KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IF MC WAS STILL 5'6 AND WIMP DICKED.

2. Amber, I think MC was one of her first BFs which is a bonus but dude Deryl fucked her and lost his virginity to her? If you think in terms of purity and a warriors honor then that girl is lost to the streets. Liz by lore has not been revealed to have sexual partners and quite oppositely only takes a swimming sponsor to alleviate the burden on Amber. Amber, goes fucking and cucking for her personal lust ignoring future consequences (REALLY LOW IQ BEHAVIOUR, OBV THAT LIZ > AMBER).

3. Alice, she only talks to us once we reveal that we are capable as a person. Naturally if we weren't Superhuman (he said the line!) we would have gotten mauled by Michael at the ring and been done for closing off any possibilities with Alice. Now that a relationship can happen, the main determinant in her behavior is our potential and action. She refuses to get us involved unless we agree with her brooklyn bagel mobster family and once we get involved she makes sure to support us thoroughly. She notices Michael is the turbo battle autist so she can't have anything sexual with him. We on the other hand make a good fit for her fathers legacy and helping her or we ourselves keep up the legacy.

Alice' text was more lengthy because of the brooklyn bagel mafia part. Ultimately we what we want to understand is what marriage really entails. Ignore our 1970+ dating era and look deeper into marriage. Marriage is to enter a covenant relationship between a male and a female. Now this has been done for numerous reasons, wealth, status, power, lust etc (e.g queen marrying a 12 year old prince of some kingdom or a king marrying a random hot peasant from the street).

So who would be the best choice? Its clear that we can cut Amber out from the beginning. If you compare her to Liz, she is simply more lacking in every point except that she got nice blue hair ends. What she would provide in terms of a marriage seem to only be lust. Liz, the more mature and cardboard personality girl has the smarts, looks and potentially if she didn't get involved, a good future in both career and well-being. Alice has cash, looks, status, property BUT is a criminal which could damage MC in the longrun depending on his career. Therefor if we base our choice purely on gains, Alice is the best choice. If we base our choice on "morality" then Liz is the better choice (not a criminal duh).

TLDR: ALICE BEST CHOICE BECAUSE SHE OFFERS THE MOST. IF YOU ARE A GOODY TWO SHOES GO CARDBOARD QUEEN LIZ. AMBER IS THE INFERIOR VERSION OF LIZ WITH A PERSONALITY ADDED.

I just felt like Micheals story beats was always leading to him finding something more important in his life then just fighting for getting stronger. That just might be the cringe romantic in me though lol.

I personally would've written Deryl to end up with Amber once he had shown he's changed. Emily with Christy or a thrupple with Ella(with you being a sex toy they call occasionally when they need dick), Jake to end up with Mia and Micheal to end up with Alice. Everyone else I'm fine with being with MC cause they don't narratively have someone that makes sense.
Im talking purely about the romance story beats. Alice appears a lot but the development of the love story is basically you help her and she falls in love with you. Liz is the high school crush that rejected you because she thought neither of you were mentally ready for it. She was at the top of her field and was depressed about it cause she didnt feel any passion about swimming anymore. But once you get your powers and start directly challenging her, she starts realising that you have gotten rid of your mental issues. You beating her ignites her competitive spirit and she starts getting rid of her mental issues aswell. It improves the more you hang out with her and challenge her, bit by bit until she finally let's herself fall in love. It's a stark contrast to the generic "help" you lend to other girls to have them fall in love and I find it to be incredible writing.

To repeat myself, that's an awful idea, you can have background moments like Deryl and Tess, but there simply isn't time to waste on anything else and pairing up major is not a small thing, it creates another diverging plot thread and future events constantly need to account for it, to appease an extreme minority like yourself. Also bit extreme on your hate for it, would you kill yourself if your daughter ended up a single mother to a deadbeat? Extremely common and much worse than being in a harem where you will have people to support you. Not saying I would want my daughter in one, just that your reaction is extreme.

But Alice can shoot up to second for me then behind Liz. Mainly cause it makes even more sense for her to be with Micheal after the revelation. And it doesn't feel as personal to the MC as Liz's story did. Her relationship hinged on you having superpowers. Liz's depended on you being hard-working and motivated.

Above Ella cause her relationship is kinda in a limbo rn.

Actually I think it has been quite some time ago, after Mc is allowed to leave the HERO base for the first time if I'm not mistaken, Alice invites Mc to finish off the last group who rebelled against the Alderman, then she takes Mc to a lake (I think her family used to visit the place) and explains what happened with her parents. It's even the trigger for their relationship in the game (you can reject her), so I can't honestly think of a better moment to pinpoint where she truly fell for Mc.
Thus my reason to believe that helping her was not the defining factor.

Why is it insulting to someone to only show interest when they become someone worth being interested in?
Let's face it, MC before he gets his powers is nothing. He's unmotivated to do anything, he's short, he's ugly, he's weak, and there's no real positive features that stand out aside from his tenacity (shown with Deryl during their feud), although that could be construed negatively as stubbornness.
MC after he gets his powers is confident, decisive, motivated, tall, hunky, strong, etc. Some of those traits are superficial, but some aren't.
Also, it's explicit that the reason she turned down the MC the first time he asked is because he's unmotivated.
