My two cents on this:

I don't think the MC's Physical Growth/Changes were extraordinary in the slightest.

The MC was a Short and Skinny little fucker. When he became a Superhuman, his New Default Body was this Ridiculous Tall, Muscular, and Monster Cocked Man now. And while it's true that Superhuman Transformations seem to bring out the Peak Physical/Fertile Condition of a Human, I don't think the MC's was any more Drastic than someone like Jake.

I agree with the Alice, Michael, and Tiffany though. Their Growth/Change (Physically Speaking), was next to NOTHING, even with Further Evolutions (Michael MAYBE got a bit Bulker and Taller???). As opposed to Jake who Noticeably got even better between Evolution 1 and Evolution 2. This is obviously due to the Serum they were given GROWING UP (Key Word), as we know Ella's Kids, or rather, Humans in General (Like Charlie) who are Transformed into Superhumans at a Young Age (Like Charlie) have a Ridiculous Growth Spurt not only Physically, but in their Abilities as well.

It's strange, because the MC SHOULD have every Characteristic to go with being a Prodigy or Outlier in the Superhuman field, but if you look at the Alternatives, he's really nothing Special so far.
-Henri is Cracked, with an Apparent God Progenitor, and got to Level 5 in like a Week.
-Several Superhumans in H.E.R.O. have reached Level 3 and 4, despite it apparently being 'Rare'.
-Jake and Others had FARRR more Potential on Ella's List, be it from Compatibility, Overall Potential, or whatever than the MC.
-Bernhardt and Malik despite not really having a God Tier Power have all reached the Pinnacle of Level 5, so much so that a Chosen who can mop up 2 Level 5s at once can't even scratch them.
-Jared became a Superhuman like what? A Month ago? And was probably Babied without Combat Experience the entire time and STILL got to Level 4...
-Alice, Deryl, Michael have all been keeping up, even Amber and Liz got a cracked ass Ability.
-The S.I.N Twins are Ridiculous.

The list just goes on, there are plenty of Regular People that are just Significantly better than him, with HALF the Actual Experience and Near-Death Scenarios. And yet again; the MC still has all the hallmarks of being an Outlier such as:
-Getting Infected by 2 Twin Apostles, and Retaining Both Traits Simultaneously.
-Being Born from a Natural Monster Mother at the CHOSEN Level, with the Human Adaptability of his Human Father. So he's Basically Already had Monster DNA (Like the Serum's Injected into the Rich Kids), since Birth.
-Has had the Eye apparently since before even the Syla/Indra Event, according to it at least, it's ALWAYS been with us, just Dormant until we became a Superhuman.

Those are all, so far, Unique Factors that sets him apart from the Average Human, hell, even the Entire Cast so far, and yet - we have nothing to show for it. None of it has made a difference compared to the Lucky Few in the Superhuman World.

Anyway, I know I diverged from the Main Point, but this kind of Topic always drives me back to what Jake asked us on the Beach all those Years ago; "Do you think you're special?" And honestly? No, not right now, I don't think we're any different from the Countless Superhumans in the World. Which is a damn shame, because by every right, we should be. Take away the Reputation of being the Mascot H.E.R.O./Vigilante of the World and, what are we?
Don't you think it is good , like so many other games where mc is too powerful or overkill and if we go back when Alice became superhuman at level 1 she was more powerful than mc( lvl1) and same thing happened with level 2 she was a little more powerful at level 2 also ,and Amber and liz because of the circumstances they are more powerful than many at same level
This things really make it unique that many of our friends become powerful with different factors or ways and all have equal or more potential then mc that's what made this game unique it is not an usual like so many other with op mc,it always leave you thinking

I actually think that MC body after he got his powers should have been his normal/default body instead of being small and all that shit. He must have had a seal/lock that prevented him from growing up. If you look at MC parents, you can see that they are fucking giants.

I agree. He has every quality that 'should' make him unique. Being born from Syla alone already makes him a miracle.

My head cannon is that the 3rd and 4th are holding back to make the MC use their powers more. He's a child of 2 divorced grandparents and has too choose if he likes, old people breath mints or old people toffee candy

You could think of MC as a slowburner, in the sense that his growth curve is quite different from the others. Take into consideration that he was made and is meant to become something "different"/beyond from your regular superhuman, and given that his Lineage is 50% Body 49% Memory 1% ??? *Shrugs* (wiki), he's probably just getting prepared for that jump.

I may be coping.

Also, didn't Henri jump to lv 5 in one go? I thought he was the one with chimerism.

So Jared has the audacity to shit on the MC while getting carried to lv 4. (edit: he has not gotten carried yet)

Oh no, don't get me wrong, I'm fine with it. I'm just pointing out the fact that we're not really Special despite many things that you would think SHOULD make us special. It's interesting.

Ohhh yeah, 100%. The only thing I can think of is that the MC's Genes from his Monster Mother and Human Father were at odds? I mean he went through regular health checkups and was fine, but that doesn't mean there weren't things going on internally in his development. After all, being Short and Skinny isn't Unhealthy. But who knows, the MC's Doctor was Tanos, if he could hide his True Self from his Dad, what's to say he couldn't throughout his Youth with our Spotty at best memories.
I agree. He has every quality that 'should' make him unique. Being born from Syla alone already makes him a miracle.

Possible that the reason the Eye has been with the MC for SO long even before he was a Superhuman is because he was Born from Syla?

That's not much of a Revelation by itself sure, but so far, I don't think a single other Superhuman has been Infected by not 1, but 2 Apostles, let alone carried 2 Traits. I feel like it's easily dismissed because Body and Memory are 2 Apostle Twins in which their Powers Coincide with each other, instead of being at Odds with each other like the 2nd Half of the Apostle Twins. But the fact of the matter is he uses Two Traits, AND has an Arbiter (The Eye) in his head? THAT'S Special, yet so far we don't have much to show for it by comparison of the other Upper, or even Newly made Superhumans.

Anyways, rambling about the Obvious, but what if the Pre-Requisite for The Eye/An Arbiter to Host itself in a Superhuman IS for them to be a Natural Born Monster, WITH the Adaptability of a Human. Half and Half if you will.

I think it's Dependent on whatever you Pick at the Start. Again, I think it's stupid anyways, because it's Heavily Implied, if not Outright Shown, that the MC gets Infected by BOTH the Apostles in Bills Park no matter which one you end up choosing. And that's later confirmed by the fact that we have BOTH Traits.

Sure, the Apostles, for whatever reason, can use the Trait of their Twin (Stupid if you ask me, they are the Embodiment of themselves after all, not their Sibling), but that doesn't seem to Apply, at least so far, to Any other Apostle-Created Superhuman. Michael can't use Authority, Alice can't fuck with Time, I imagine Claudia won't be able to fuck with Space, Jake never displayed any kind of Power Traits even when surrounded by corpses, and Tiffany can't change her Bright Lightblub ass into a Shadow, hell, even Ella, at Level 5, still relies entirely on Body, otherwise she would've fucked with some Memories to save herself from the Captains.

I think it's said by Lisa that Henri got to Level 5 in the span of a week, not overnight or anything. He basically made a Deal with his Progenitor, or at least it's implied, because he fit the Conditions and then holed up and almost Monsterified. But we later find out, based on the Collective of Human Minds in the Dream World, that Henri's Progenitor is a GOD. They don't say that about us though, which implies they don't view Apostles as Gods. Either Henri was Transformed by an Arbiter 60 something years ago (assuming they were still alive?), or another Entity besides Monsters (Like the Outer Twins???) Infected him. Who knows, but it seems like Henri by EVERY account (Even W.W himself when Ranking the Powers used by an Average Joe), is ridiculously Overpowered and 'Built Different'

Jared getting to Level 4 is indeed bullshit. But does deter from the fact that people around us seem to just Grow way faster than us.

When asked when Jared became Level 4, he said He as definitely trolling, no questions about it. His wiki entry probably needs to get his Level updated to "Unknown" for the time being since both WeirdWorld and the game is being deliberately vague about it.

As for the differences between pre- and post-ascension bodies, the conclusions made here are . Those with bodies further away from their optimum get a bigger changes upon ascending than those who are basically already at their physical peaks. Hell, if Alice is anything to go by epigenetic factors might actually make a person develop faster after ascending. It does make me question if Michael was actually an imperfect fit for Power or if the Formula A-8163 threw things off by either screwing with Ella's ability or making him imperfect due to causing epigenetic alterations.

On if the MC is actually special or not, he very much is and he's been described by WeirdWorld as growing faster than average. It's just that as the protagonist he keeps running into and fighting with the exceptions. And superhumans who are Level 3 and above are indeed rare as far as I can tell. In the Twins Arc, most of H.E.R.O.'s new recruits were stated to be Level 1s and 2s.

Jared at level 4 wouldn't be too bad, and it's the most likely outcome. Let me explain: it's possible that he'll be at level 2 in the diamond battle, but that doesn't matter much. The point is how much time has passed since then, and that there are ways to “cheat” and generate evolutions. We can make a deal with Charlie Leicht to help him get to level 3, and use Thanos' “serums” (which could be a good story hook, something like the risk of monstrosity to overcome and face the MC). so I think it's possible and almost certain that WW will raise Jared to a level that makes the fight with the MC difficult because, otherwise, a confrontation with Jared is meaningless for the MC.

Nah, you guys just easily fell for WW trolling and really think Jared speed ran through 4 levels in a week or two. Before WW even said this, none of you would even think he's above Level 2. He has Charlie as his bodyguard, for crying out loud. Hell, even Met made fun of him for relying on his supposed "Level 5 killing arrows". Now you guys have all of these theories and such for why it's possible?

WW said, in the stream, that Jared was Level 4 before the Battle of Diamonds. That alone should've told you he was lying. Now any argument for him possibly doing it over time is inherently wrong. Because WW already lied about him being Level 4 beforehand. So no, Charlie didn't help him reach Level 3. No, Tanos didn't make a serum for him to reach Level 4. It's a literal contradiction to what WW said in the first place. If anyone would be close to that level, it would be Langdon.

At best, Jared is still Level 2, currently. He may or may not reach Level 3 before "fighting" MC. But let's be real. Jared is in no way an endgame enemy. WW just didn't want to kill him off too soon. The fact that all Dead Ends where you try to kill Jared ends with something else fucking MC over shows that the Jared thing was a joke.

There’s no denying this game has some absolutely killer storylines. When it hits, it hits hard. But the quality of the narrative has taken a nosedive lately. We’ve seen crucial plot points delayed for two, sometimes three consecutive updates, stretched out in a way that feels less like building tension and more like an inability to just get on with it. What’s the play here? Is this a cash grab, or is the dev just some impossibly honest perfectionist terrified of releasing 1.0? Frankly, I’ve already formed my goddamn opinion.

Let’s talk about these recent updates. On paper, they’re fine. But in practice? They’re missing that fucking spark. That vital energy that made you feverishly click for the next line of dialogue is just… gone. The story is technically moving, but it’s become bland. The delays to the core plot aren't smooth or intriguing; they’re clunky, obvious, and frustrating.

And don’t you dare come at me with that “but the world-building!” sanctimonious bullshit. I’m not saying the lore and side characters don’t matter. What I am saying is that there’s a right way and a wrong way to do it. The right way integrates it seamlessly into the main narrative. The wrong way—the way they’ve been doing it—is to halt the protagonist's journey dead in its tracks (hello monster world) for months to focus on some side character’s boring ass domestic problems that have zero bearing on the main plot. This isn't The Witcher 3; it’s a visual novel. A picture book. I’m not waiting a quarter of a year for an update where 70% of the content is about shit that has nothing to do with me (MC).
