you are mistaken, the last update was in September 2024 - 6 months ago. Rule a95 - 6 months. Also, the author has not shown up on subscribestar since October 2024. And the update of his second game was as long as 9 months ago, it is strange that it was not made "abandoned"In a nutshell...
Loser was his first Unity project (because by the time he started it he'd figured out that Renpy is horrible for the complex sort of games he enjoys making).
SP1 got dropped a bit short of where he'd planned on finishing it because trying to make Renpy do stuff it was never meant to do was driving him up a wall.
SP2 starts in Unity.
He realized he's learned alot about Unity and has spent the past 2 cycles on Loser massively overhauling the code. (Ie, fixing his 'rookie mistakes')
But that overhaul's been a bit time consuming, so, the last Loser cycle took alot longer then usual. But... now it's got a much better save system, overhauled the UI, a lot of other QoL improvements, etc.
Loser's next release is in bug testing now.
So SP2 should be starting up again soon (if it hasn't already).
PS...
How TF did this thread get the 'abandoned' tag???
It's been 5 or so months since the last update. I thought F95 rule was 12 or 13 months?
And Baal streams his work 6 days a week on his Discord.
Anyone that's paying even a little attention can easily check in on his progress.
P.S. about the nutshell. The author started making superschooler in 2013 or 2014, I don't remember, on the rags engine. A couple of years later, he said that this is a bad engine and I am switching to another one, we were then happy, began to wait to see what he would do. He made less content than there was in the rags version and said - this is a bad engine, I am switching to another one and started making superschooler 2. At one time, he released updates every 5 weeks. Now, six months is not enough. I am not accusing anyone of anything, I am just listing dry facts.
