There are changes in every patch... To not break the scripts and get all the images, videos etc., you're gonna need all patches in the correct order.
Otherwise, the game will break due to missing images, missing strings in scripts etc.

Because not everyone has fast and unlimited access to the internet, so downloading a small update (8.9->9.0) instead of the entire 9.0 client can be much preferable (just as one data point: Even the LQ client takes an hour for me to download - I got no faster option at the moment). Thing is that apparently, the 8.9->8.91 patch got lost for a few (or more?) people in the woods, so they're sitting on a version that can't be patched by the 8.91->9.0 patch, and now have to download the entire client.
This is NOT a bug.
It's clearly explained at the end of the intro of this event that the second part of the level up (containing day 3 and 4) will be implemented in the next update.
And, that we implemented a temporary "go back home" button so that people won't get stuck.
My guess, you skipped through that.
What you can also do if you are sure that you only missed the 0.8.91 update, is download & install that patch first, and then re-install the 0.9.0 one.
I always release the updates on F95, regularly.
So, if you go back to the 13/14th of last month on this thread, you should find all the previous links.

Always use the latest version of 7-Zip, WinRAR etc.
When that's not working either, the download might be corrupted.
In order to prevent something like that, use a download manager like JDownloader 2, for example.
Browsers often give up when the file is too big.

The level-up event is NOT finished yet.
As JD already said, days 3 and 4 of the level-up event will follow with the next update. (November Update 0.9.1)

If you're talking about our official build, we are aware of issues with it on some devices.
Try this unofficial version instead, it already got updated.
And give Wills some love.
Think the gallery is broken for the spy cams, testing the M outs and it just replys the level 1 clip regardless if you're are on a higher level

Following this game for about 4 years now, which is quite a ridiculous long time for a game like this.
I mean nothing chanches really, accept some lines of text with barely new scenes.
