Actually, no, you're getting shit mixed up there my dude, FullDive Technology (SAO's VR tech) was made by Kayaba Akihiko exclusively, and all for the sake of his crazy dream with the Death Game XD The government/military involvement only happened much later and the proper thing with it, Project Alicization, only really started like 2 years after SAO was over, anything that happened before then had no real direct bearing with the military. Plus, in Fujino's NTR-verse none of that will ever even happen because not only have 2 of their focus characters been remade as real people but any early plot connection between Kirito and it were removed (Because having a government agent constantly checking in on Kirito would have been something else that would have completely thwarted all of Inoda's plans before they even begin, lol), so in this case that doesn't really apply at all, FOG working as it does is just for the convenience of Fujino's NTR plot, absolutely no VR device that isn't a Nerve Gear can have any real effect like that in people by Canon's logic (And even the NG was super-hard to do, hence why Sugou's plans failed in Fairy Dance/ALO), and no game program can even remotely enforce it at all, you would require one of those massive machines that are what even allows the memory/soul-manipulation to happen in Alicization (The Soul Translators) to do anything of what's happening in Fujino's plot, definitively not with the small-ass headsets that are the AmuSpheres XPWell, it is kinda sorta explained in cannon that there was a Military/ Government intent behind the invention of VR, and half of it was because Military contractors funded it with the intent of manipulating peoples memories and until more recently, development of life itself within an artificial intelligence created from real people using their own "Fluct Lights".
So the idea that FOG could have real-world impacts isn't that out of the blue for a plot twist in the story if it implies that the sex realism within the game is intended to corrupt the people who use the system for sex to condition them into being corrupted in real life.
It actually doesn't by Canon's logic, but yeah, in a vacuum that doesn't care for SAO's actual world or plot it would at least be kinda-believable, but Fujino decided to circumvent all that and expand by using 'Actually a God Administrator' as his convenient plot-device. Hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if FOG's sex-related bugs and issues only exist because it's Admin's fault at this point tooTo clear up misunderstandings, I don't have any complaints about FOG having an impact on the real world. It makes sense that if VR is as realistic as the real world, you can experience psychological changes. I actually like that idea. I'm talking about the admin, magic dick growth pills, etc., that were just implemented in Part 2 without explanation and turned the game from near-future realism into fantasy, to put it simply. Even hypnosis in FOG resulting in a change of mind in the real world would've been somewhat believable.
