I want to say the bathroom sex scenes probably come after the bedroom sex, just because I think the last bathroom scene we see is the Asuna/Inoda shower handjob. Then they have that whole day together and the way everything builds up to the sex at the end of Part 1 makes me think that's the first time they have sex IRL (I know Inoda has sexed her in FOG at least twice beforehand).
It would suck and be less impactful if their first sex scene is entirely off screen and the whole 'stormy night' was something else. It really looks like he convinces her to have consensual sex with him during the stormy night.

While I understand the hope there, it's more likely the dev will be taking time away from development to completely focus on his move. Wherever they go to. They'll need to find a place, make arrangements, make offers, wait for responses, pack stuff up, move it, un pack, etcetera. It's very stressful, disorientating and complex just to move, let alone to consider trying to move to a whole other country.
I don't think the extra month will result in more work than we were already expecting. I expect Fujino to be busy sorting out their IRL affairs. That said, it looks like the next update will have a little more content that we were originally expecting, which was just the stormy night of first sex. It looks like Fujino has worked on scenes that might come afterwards, though they're obviously unfinished.

But just for the record, I do think that in the first time Asuna was "kind of fine" with it and still like it because:
1 - She loved Kirito, so even though she wasn't completely satisfied she still enjoyed sharing that moment with him.
