Sadly Japan does not have anything such as a self-employed or freelance visa, so even if Fujino's Patreon skyrockets and he will never be a tax burden, the only way for him (or any foreigner) to live in Japan is to either work for a company or to start a company. Even all the very successful solo vloggers and youtubers moving to Japan all "work" for an umbrella company and technically have bosses to get around it. For Fujino there is sadly nothing he can do but work for his company while suffering.

I would prefer them over the expanded plots/main characters we got, especially on Sugu's side, but even in the main story (I prefer seeing Kyouko, Liz, and Sinon H-scenes in an SAO game over any random girl getting NTR-ed/whored out by a random dude/s after all).

I'd rather drop Sinon instead of Alice, she's been fallen from the get go & gave me 0 boner (i'm counting). The lack of interactions with her has failed to show her state of mind or corruption progression, she's been Hebishima's bitch from the start like a prostitute NPC.
I want to see how Klein corrupt Alice tho..

but from my point of view i dont think klein will be the one to corrupt alice here, he will be the one got cucked instead... with how the "bad guy" already have a hold on police like how alice's coworker already fallen for bad guy's dick and tell him all the plan, i think alice's main dude will be those criminal and not klein... i just hope it wont be all about hypno sex with her tho

I keep forgetting Sinon exists. In fact my only time feeling despair was seeing Sinon getting a main event where she appeared in FOG with the forest pool scene. This was at the height of the slow pace with Alice Suguha Liz and Asuna's mother already taking screentime. Man that was rough seeing another side char getting time over Asuna .....

It's the sad reality, but yeah,it's how things are. I really wish Fujino went back to when he could just fully ignore the complaints of everyone and just do what he wanted, but it's clear his sudden massive life-shift and current situations prevented him from doing so. My dude, your opinions about dropping characters aside, have you even been paying attention to the game XD? We know already that Alice is gonna be corrupted by the randoms from the crime group they're investigating, in fact she already was hypnotized by them before in-game, and the latest preview pic shows it's gonna happen again IRL in the next update. Klein is just there to be a loser and another NTR source, sadly for him.

Constant sexual Harrasment
Force/Rape
Drug
Hypnosis
Manipulation/Tricks

sure there are many variations of those tropes, but hypnosis is still a main thingie. in the end it just depends on how well Fujino will be able to use them. the molester already mentioned that Alice has a strong mental fortitude or something. So hopefully it wont be that easy to make her fall...

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if this hypno-app is also somehow Administrator's doing, just like the horny-healing drug that Kirito got in the sick update was)

In my opinion hypnosis/ mind control isn't just boring, it's just downright lazy writing and usually done incredibly sloppy, I haven't read or seen much games/ doujins/ hentai where it's been done right. Like, if a writer/ developer was gonna force a character to do things anyways, hypnosis/ mind control is pointless & unnecessary.

Maybe Fujino will surprise me and be the one to change my mind on this by writing & depicting it correctly, but who know's we'll see I guess.

If I ever make a game with mind control/ hypnosis I would feel forced to put a spin on it where the hypnotized/ mind controlled character is semi-conscious of her actions and depict it by showing an inside negative reaction to the things she's being forced to do -- at least this way the player can get a sense of feeling like they're corrupting the target successfully to fall & break. There needs to be a depiction of struggling to resist being mind controlled and the effect should gradually be weaker the longer & more times the hypnotist uses it on the target -- and the effect of being mind controlled should only be depicted as stronger used on the target if they have a desire to be hypnotized or mind controlled into those actions.

In real life it's been stated that hypnotism only works on people that want to be hypnotized. Such as people going in to see a therapist offering the service because they want to get over an irrational fear for example, as I've heard of such things.

So as I said, if I ever do make a game with mind control or hypnosis in it, the premise will probably be from that angle where the hypnotist is a therapist and the participant is reluctant but willing with suggestions of influence gradually over time. Maybe to walk her through a trauma or something under the pretense of helping her during therapy.

But I digress, it's not any sooner likely to happen until after I've gotten my first game created anyways which is still a good ways far off.

Yeah, it's really odd to see how different the worldbuilding between Part 1 and Part 2 is. In Part 1, the real world was basically identical to ours, with maybe better VR technology, and all the magic stuff was only FOG exclusive. Now, in Part 2, which is roughly one-third finished, we get more and more magic stuff in the real world without any explanation. I initially thought it was a great idea if the separation remained because you can make a more realistic story but still have all the cliche NTR tools in the VR. At this point, it doesn't really matter anyway.

I mean, I think you're taking it way too seriously bud: Hypnosis in fiction has nothing to do with real life one (If any of those is even remotely real beyond some form of self-convincing therapy), is basically 'magic' whether it's done with actual spells, supernatural powers, or technology (As the most modern one, the instant-hypno-app, shows). It's not meant to be any deeper or really have any complex plot because, indeed, it's just a plot-device to allow for the Hentai to happen.

My guess is even Fujino couldn't think of a third whole complex corruption/pseudo-NTR plot for Alice's story so he decided to just go the lazy route, it's sadly what happens when you try and incorporate things you originally didn't plan for. I'm not really bothered by it at all because, as stated, I only really care about the Hentai, but I honestly wouldn't really be expecting anything 'great' from it already, it's clear this is just something Fujino decided to do so he didn't have to think of anything more complex for Alice, which given all the issues he was having lately I can't even fault him for, especially considering how she's clearly the most forced character of the game :O

Basically, the game got way bigger than Fujino had probably ever intended to when he started it (Because SAO is just that big and way more 'mainstream' than Fate even if the latter is much bigger in scope, lol), and when you put the shit he went through the past months, it's clear he decided to start making more workarounds/shortcuts to keep the plot going, especially to accommodate all the things he didn't plan for originally when he wrote Part 1 (Alice, Liz, removing the NPCs, etc). As I said above, I really can't blame Fujino for it and I personally don't mind that much even if it's a bit eyeroll-worthy, but I can imagine how those that were more invested in the 'complex NTR' aspect of the game would feel disappointed because of it :O

To clear up misunderstandings, I don't have any complaints about FOG having an impact on the real world. It makes sense that if VR is as realistic as the real world, you can experience psychological changes. I actually like that idea. I'm talking about the admin, magic dick growth pills, etc., that were just implemented in Part 2 without explanation and turned the game from near-future realism into fantasy, to put it simply. Even hypnosis in FOG resulting in a change of mind in the real world would've been somewhat believable.
