In my opinion hypnosis/ mind control isn't just boring, it's just downright lazy writing and usually done incredibly sloppy, I haven't read or seen much games/ doujins/ hentai where it's been done right. Like, if a writer/ developer was gonna force a character to do things anyways, hypnosis/ mind control is pointless & unnecessary.

Maybe Fujino will surprise me and be the one to change my mind on this by writing & depicting it correctly, but who know's we'll see I guess.

If I ever make a game with mind control/ hypnosis I would feel forced to put a spin on it where the hypnotized/ mind controlled character is semi-conscious of her actions and depict it by showing an inside negative reaction to the things she's being forced to do -- at least this way the player can get a sense of feeling like they're corrupting the target successfully to fall & break. There needs to be a depiction of struggling to resist being mind controlled and the effect should gradually be weaker the longer & more times the hypnotist uses it on the target -- and the effect of being mind controlled should only be depicted as stronger used on the target if they have a desire to be hypnotized or mind controlled into those actions.

In real life it's been stated that hypnotism only works on people that want to be hypnotized. Such as people going in to see a therapist offering the service because they want to get over an irrational fear for example, as I've heard of such things.

So as I said, if I ever do make a game with mind control or hypnosis in it, the premise will probably be from that angle where the hypnotist is a therapist and the participant is reluctant but willing with suggestions of influence gradually over time. Maybe to walk her through a trauma or something under the pretense of helping her during therapy.

But I digress, it's not any sooner likely to happen until after I've gotten my first game created anyways which is still a good ways far off.
I mean, I think you're taking it way too seriously bud: Hypnosis in fiction has nothing to do with real life one (If any of those is even remotely real beyond some form of self-convincing therapy), is basically 'magic' whether it's done with actual spells, supernatural powers, or technology (As the most modern one, the instant-hypno-app, shows). It's not meant to be any deeper or really have any complex plot because, indeed, it's just a plot-device to allow for the Hentai to happen.

My guess is even Fujino couldn't think of a third whole complex corruption/pseudo-NTR plot for Alice's story so he decided to just go the lazy route, it's sadly what happens when you try and incorporate things you originally didn't plan for. I'm not really bothered by it at all because, as stated, I only really care about the Hentai, but I honestly wouldn't really be expecting anything 'great' from it already, it's clear this is just something Fujino decided to do so he didn't have to think of anything more complex for Alice, which given all the issues he was having lately I can't even fault him for, especially considering how she's clearly the most forced character of the game :O

Yeah, it's really odd to see how different the worldbuilding between Part 1 and Part 2 is. In Part 1, the real world was basically identical to ours, with maybe better VR technology, and all the magic stuff was only FOG exclusive. Now, in Part 2, which is roughly one-third finished, we get more and more magic stuff in the real world without any explanation. I initially thought it was a great idea if the separation remained because you can make a more realistic story but still have all the cliche NTR tools in the VR. At this point, it doesn't really matter anyway.
Basically, the game got way bigger than Fujino had probably ever intended to when he started it (Because SAO is just that big and way more 'mainstream' than Fate even if the latter is much bigger in scope, lol), and when you put the shit he went through the past months, it's clear he decided to start making more workarounds/shortcuts to keep the plot going, especially to accommodate all the things he didn't plan for originally when he wrote Part 1 (Alice, Liz, removing the NPCs, etc). As I said above, I really can't blame Fujino for it and I personally don't mind that much even if it's a bit eyeroll-worthy, but I can imagine how those that were more invested in the 'complex NTR' aspect of the game would feel disappointed because of it :O

Well, it is kinda sorta explained in cannon that there was a Military/ Government intent behind the invention of VR, and half of it was because Military contractors funded it with the intent of manipulating peoples memories and until more recently, development of life itself within an artificial intelligence created from real people using their own "Fluct Lights".

So the idea that FOG could have real-world impacts isn't that out of the blue for a plot twist in the story if it implies that the sex realism within the game is intended to corrupt the people who use the system for sex to condition them into being corrupted in real life.

To clear up misunderstandings, I don't have any complaints about FOG having an impact on the real world. It makes sense that if VR is as realistic as the real world, you can experience psychological changes. I actually like that idea. I'm talking about the admin, magic dick growth pills, etc., that were just implemented in Part 2 without explanation and turned the game from near-future realism into fantasy, to put it simply. Even hypnosis in FOG resulting in a change of mind in the real world would've been somewhat believable.

Actually, no, you're getting shit mixed up there my dude, FullDive Technology (SAO's VR tech) was made by Kayaba Akihiko exclusively, and all for the sake of his crazy dream with the Death Game XD The government/military involvement only happened much later and the proper thing with it, Project Alicization, only really started like 2 years after SAO was over, anything that happened before then had no real direct bearing with the military. Plus, in Fujino's NTR-verse none of that will ever even happen because not only have 2 of their focus characters been remade as real people but any early plot connection between Kirito and it were removed (Because having a government agent constantly checking in on Kirito would have been something else that would have completely thwarted all of Inoda's plans before they even begin, lol), so in this case that doesn't really apply at all, FOG working as it does is just for the convenience of Fujino's NTR plot, absolutely no VR device that isn't a Nerve Gear can have any real effect like that in people by Canon's logic (And even the NG was super-hard to do, hence why Sugou's plans failed in Fairy Dance/ALO), and no game program can even remotely enforce it at all, you would require one of those massive machines that are what even allows the memory/soul-manipulation to happen in Alicization (The Soul Translators) to do anything of what's happening in Fujino's plot, definitively not with the small-ass headsets that are the AmuSpheres XP

It actually doesn't by Canon's logic, but yeah, in a vacuum that doesn't care for SAO's actual world or plot it would at least be kinda-believable, but Fujino decided to circumvent all that and expand by using 'Actually a God Administrator' as his convenient plot-device. Hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if FOG's sex-related bugs and issues only exist because it's Admin's fault at this point too :p

Poor in-game Administrator. She has become the scapegoat/deus ex machina for everything the developer don't want to explain. I would feel sorry for her if I don't know what she is like in canon.

How funny it would be if later it is revealed she IS the Quinella. This is a personal hell for her. She is a Goddess but for a porn game. Screwing over this Kirito and maybe Alice is her way for paying back their counterparts. That is would be a great twist IMO.

LMAO, that would genuinely be a great twist, but at this point I'm afraid even that would annoy people so much that it would make Fujino change it the very next update, like every time he tries to do something 'original' but that doesn't bring more Inoda-NTR-ing-Asuna-content XP

Only lore geeks would like the twist. Also when the official English Part 2 is released they have to remove the reference anyway. So there is no point in making that twist. But it would be nice to have a good reason for Inoda. If Administrator is what gave Inoda all his powers and opportunities it would nice to know that Administrator is not just doing it for shits and giggles but actual personal reasons to fuck up Kirito's (and Alice's) lives.

Plus the idea of Kirito losing Asuna because God hates him so funny to me for some reason.

I guess at some point bringing in hypnosis makes sense. even if its boring. im not sure myself but there arent THAT many options for stealing other ppls girls:
Blackmail
Constant sexual Harrasment
Force/Rape
Drug
Hypnosis
Manipulation/Tricks
...
sure there are many variations of those tropes, but hypnosis is still a main thingie. in the end it just depends on how well Fujino will be able to use them. the molester already mentioned that Alice has a strong mental fortitude or something. So hopefully it wont be that easy to make her fall...
then again we already saw a BJ scene of Alice behind curtains... oh well, we will see...
Where were this scene because i think i missed it

If you're talking about the Alice scene where she was first hypnotized, it's in the recollection room only, is something that in the actual game happened offscreen when she, Kirito, and Klein first infiltrated the underground town (Where Kirito went down first and then Alice and Klein's talk made clear 'something' had happened but we didn't know what until that was shown). The BJ thing is from a preview of the upcoming update so not yet in the game :O
