To begin with, I don´t even think a good bull has to be hateable in the first place for the NTR to be good. (See Mars From Hero Party Must Fall, as an example.)
I am a firm believer in the idea that you can make a NTR game without having the antagonist be a piece of pig´s excrement like Inoda.

but who here hasn´t fancied at least a bit someone else´s girlfriend or wife at some point in their life? Trying to win over someone else´s woman, might be a dick thing to do, but it doesn´t mean you are necessary a deplorable rapist like a certain obese character, in a certain porn parody, that we discuss daily on a certain thread.
All that to say that we could have gotten a Decent guy with a huge dick x Suguha plotline in part 1, ahegao, netorare and romance all at the same time.

Now that I have moved past the obligatory Sugu glazing of my every post, let me move back onto the pig, Inoda.
He is hated in this thread as much as he is, not simply because he is a bastard of a person who does deplorable things, that´s 99% of all NTR antagonists in the genre. The difference between them and Inoda, is that he is truly among the most annoyingly pathetic pieces of trash I have ever laid my eyes on. Not just because he has a face that not even his mother could love, or because he is built like the average American sitcom dad, with a beer belly when he is a high schooler.
It´s just that he has the worst attitude of a loser in every aspect of his character.
In the medium itself, Inoda is not even particularly evil compared with his contemporary antagonists, for example in this very game Hebishima is a literal rapist pimp, who would let strangers rape his girls for a pretty penny. Such action alone is arguably worse than anything Inoda has ever done, and much more when you realize the scale, since Suguha was his one hundredth victim/conquest.
Yet, those literal rapes and pimpings pale to the disgust I get when I see Inoda spitting on Asuna´s kindness to him, or how he only takes advantage of women when he has their weakness, while he would get scared shitless when he is confronted by another guy or any woman who he hasn´t an unfair advantage on.
It´s actually something that I have seen a few times in real life, guys who act all tough in front of women, since they know a woman wouldn´t knock him out, yet acting like a meek little piglet in front of other men. And Inoda is just like them, someone who would probably end up beating their girlfriend/wife because she doesn´t want to have sex in the future, yet wouldn´t be able to tell a male cashier that he asked for his triple cheese burger without bacon. (Eating pork would be too far even for Inoda, cannibalism is a line he wouldn´t cross.)
