This isn’t NTR anymore. This is narrative rape with a “fan parody” sticker slapped on top. It’s not even about tension, or betrayal, or emotion. It’s just Fujino jerking himself off with Asuna’s face while the fans scream in the background — and somehow he gets paid for it.

So yeah, I get why people are pissed. This isn’t bold, it’s lazy. This isn’t dark, it’s pathetic. And if that third ending ends with Kirito still calling it love after all this? Then burn the whole fucking game to the ground.

I wish the memory manipulation had brought some doubt to Asuna's mind.
So far, Asuna has had sex with Inoda without any real consequences.
Her only risk has been losing her love for Kirito, but having a daughter with Inoda and having her memories manipulated are consequences of that.
Losing love for someone or something is different from losing/altering your memories, and consequently, yourself.

That could have caused Asuna to connect the incorrect memories with the events that actually happened and realize what's happen. That would give Asuna one last real chance to change once she realized the consequences

I've been thinking of the idea of how could work.

The events at the hotel continue with Asuna thinking the memories are real and behaving as such.

But once she's out, she might begin to notice the discrepancies in her memories and what really happened.

Meanwhile, her relationship with Inoda would continue to grow (the increased relationship would allow for more intense sexual scenes) at the same time that doubts arise and she investigates the truth.

(Although I doubt it will happen, it could also pave the way for Asuna to begin showing more love to Kirito if she separates from Inoda, since she would feel him as her connection to those lost memories.)

The climax I mentioned could be the outcome of that discovery. Asuna discovered her modified memories and now has to decide whether to stay with Inoda or leave/try to leave him since she's beginning to notice the consequences of her actions.

(I think something like this could fit well with Asuna's behavior since she's not leaving Inoda because of her love for Kirito or because of how Inoda behaves, but for herself since she realized how her memories were modified. Basically selfishness.)

Well, you're right about "friends," bro, but they all seem to have their own goals. Suguha makes sure that Kirito doesn't collapse from depression when he finds out everything. Sinon and Agil use Kirito and apparently they don't need him to stay at home and get drunk from grief. Klein and Alice, I don't think they know exactly about Asuna and Inode. The only one I can't figure out is Liz-she wants Kirito for herself and she doesn't care about his condition. The first thing she should have done was take the evidence and show it to Kirito, but no, for some reason she listens to Inoda's stupid plans and stands still.

I'm not sure if Fujino has the guts, but it's not about bravery. If the subscribers put pressure on him, he will do it.

There is also an option - there is such a type of ending - "conditional" revenge.

Something like an early ending-

Asuna realizes that something is wrong with her memory and she starts pulling out memories. Suddenly, Asuna realizes that she has two sets of memories, but Asuna herself understands perfectly well which are real, and which with Inoda seem to have been forcibly inserted into her head. Asuna gets scared of this and expels Inoda, because don't understand how Inoda managed to pull it off and now she's just afraid to communicate with him. Suddenly, the Inoda can replace everything or erase? Asuna returns to Kirito, but because of the fear she has experienced, she is afraid to communicate with those she does not trust. That could be the ending. She would fit into the current situation quite normally.(well, except that the other characters just disappeared)
