There's some reasons for that, for once canon fans looking for plot canon logic into this game, other fans came with so many theories and plotlines just to insert their own ideas/tastes into the main plot line and subplots.

The real problem that many people can't or don't want to see, this game is just long in length with a slow development, which again mess how people perceive it's quality, but it does have a paper thin story, more or less like "wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle".

And this now will be more clear as we get close to the end, Fujino can't do a elaborate ending because there's not enough "meat" in the main plot to justify such payoff at least not one that will make any sense, so no redemption arc, no revenge, no reverse NTR no great plot twist to anyone, it will be only Kirito getting cucked in one way or another and probably not only by Asuna.

The plot so far has been more or less like this, Inoda came up with a idea, Asuna denies at first, next update the idea turn into a scene, rinse and repeat, the secondary characters keep running in circles without any real progress and Kirito is just how we go from scene A to scene B Etc..
So the best way to enjoy this game now has been the same for a long time, low expectations and just go for the ride
Honestly, I don't think there's even a proper way to like this plot anymore. The only way to tolerate this title is to extract all the erotic scenes (which, to be fair, are quite nice to watch) and hit CTRL + ALT + DELETE on the rest—because let’s be honest, it’s completely nonsensical.

We both know the story isn’t going to improve, and we’re likely heading toward a disappointing premature climax. And to be fair, it’s not entirely Fujino’s fault. He’s always followed the same predictable formula. His real mistake was dragging out fake suspense that never paid off. What we got instead is an endless loop of recycled scenes and weak justifications for things that never made sense in the first place.

Adding in the Rewrite Memory plot twist just made things even worse—it reminded me of the manga 100-kai Chouji, which also uses memory rewrites to justify the heroine forgetting past sexual encounters and essentially resetting her relationship with the MC. It creates this illusion of “starting over,” while all the emotional damage and corruption remain under the surface. That kind of narrative trick doesn’t deepen the story—it just masks consequences and makes everything feel hollow.

Thing is, with the sheer amount of solid NTR games coming out lately, it's getting harder not to criticize the flaws in this one. And in Fujino's case, it’s even more frustrating, because this isn’t even original content—he had all the source material already. You’d think writing a basic NTR storyline would be simple when everything is already in place. But apparently, writing NTR isn’t really Fujino’s strong suit. He’s decent at creating punchy KK characters and crafting solid visual setups, but beyond that? He really needs to take a step back and rethink his direction.

Because let’s be real—this whole "milking Part 1 forever" approach feels like he was just trying to shake the bottle for a few more drops of cash. But shake it too hard, and it explodes right in your face. Now Fujino’s standing there with a bukkake of his own mess, trying to clean it up and make it look presentable—and that’s exactly where we’re at now.

i don't think there would be an ending where asuna leaves kirito just because he's with other girls for sexual favors and can't sexually satisfy her, since asuna is also doing the same. but now that her memory has been altered, there's a chance she might leave him. there's also a leaked perk list where it's mentioned that asuna asks inoda to make their relationship public, but inoda declines and tells her to be his sow wife while still being in a relationship with kirito (also, the dev has confirmed with us that he'd be following his original plan, which means this can happen). i think the chances for an oblivious and netorase endings here are higher

in the oblivious one, asuna would keep cheating on kirito, and kirito would also be doing the same with suguha & the other girls. netorase is the one where he actually enjoys seeing asuna with inoda. i also think there's a chance suguha might end up as part of inoda's harem too in this ending (just like liz & kyouko), though probably not sinon. nothing’s certain for now, we just have to wait and see
Is the Netorase ending even believable? I honestly don’t see why—or how—Kirito would get any kind of pleasure from watching Asuna get fucked by Inoda, of all people. It makes zero sense unless Fujino pulls some kind of excuse to make Kirito completely brain-dead just to justify that ending.

At this point, even an oblivious ending—yeah, as pathetic and overused as it is—wouldn't surprise me. It's the kind of predictable outcome we see in the majority of NTR games. Would it be disappointing? Definitely. But it would be completely in line with what Fujino tends to write.

i'm also rooting for the revenge ending, and it'd be so kino if there's an ending where kirito beats the shit out of inoda (just like how the fmc from the curse of kubel did xD)
Beating shit out of Inoda huh? So one is checked. But what about slut Asuna? To be honest she is the one to blame mainly, not Inoda :HideThePain: she shouldn't get a free pass if there will be any revenge ending.

Today is the day?
Yeah, we should be getting the final progress report of the month today saying when the actual update comes out :O

As fun as it would be, at this point we should be more than aware enough that there is no way Fujino makes any ending where either Inoda or Asuna get what should be coming to them, it would go against the game's entire premise XD Like I have said many times before, even any ending where Kirito 'wins' anything is more realistic to only work if it's framed as the GIRLS in question winning rather than him, as that's the only way it could be written within a NTR plot that doesn't contradict the game's spirit :p

I don't think that would contradict the premise of the game.

Firstly, the ending of revenge would be just one of the endings, that is, each player could choose something that is closer to him - the defeat of Kirito or revenge on Asuna and Inoda.

Secondly, the ending of revenge fits very well into the context of the game, because Fujino, perhaps without realizing it, prescribed the characters in such a way that revenge suggests itself. Asuna is hypocritical and deceitful from the very beginning, her motivation for cheating is dissatisfaction with sex with Kirito, this is a problem that she did not even try to solve, and Inoda is a manipulative psychopath rapist with cheats and God's help. People usually don't like such out-of-balance villain characters (except for Fujino himself, apparently).

I think even if few people want to see Kirito win, many people want to see justice prevail. Even if Kirito ends up being a broken shadow of himself, Asuna and Inoda's suffering will be a special pleasure.

Guys, share the hardcore NTR ending you would like to see...

Here's a simple one from me:

Inoda eventually makes Asuna fire Kirito from her company. After being so depressed from being betrayed, he starts to become unable to focus on his studies, thus failing to get into college. Now with no job, no school, he starts running out of money, eventually becoming homeless.

The post-credit scene shows him on the street, watching Asuna and Inoda's wedding on the city's public screens. the scene cuts to a one-year time skip, where a new intern is starting at a familiar company, and it's his sister, Suguha. She is being greeted by her new boss, Inoda.

The end.

You'd have to have a certain amount of resentment to think of an ending like that.

In my opinion, the game should be structured so that it's accessible to everyone, but here I see it's designed only for masturbators. The plot should guide the game and not be written like a dog.
For example, Suguha and Sinon are on a mission against the council, some say they will end up in a trap, but I wonder, how do the council know that someone is against them?

there is no HARDCORE here, just one of the usual NTR endings, they could have added a pregnant Asuna at the end, whom Inoda would have thrown out into the street to Kirito, and even so it sounds like an ending that has been used in dozens, if not hundreds of works.

i think the asuna in this game still has that sweet & caring charm she had in the canon, but i agree that she has been very hypocritical when it comes to how she treats kirito. she's the one who started giving inoda those sexual favors and became his 'experimental' gf, and eventually letting him do things that weren't even necessary (but that's just how ntr works). it also shows that she was craving that kind of sexual affection from the start, especially when kirito couldn't sexually satisfy her and she had to use a dildo herself in the very first scene of p-1

but even with all that, she's still the sweet & caring asuna from the canon. i can understand why the dev went with the memory alteration route, as it makes her fall more easier & believable. since even after the hotel arc, she never would've cheated on kirito again as promised. she probably would've cut ties with inoda (even if he could sexually satisfy her). so this route just made things easier to handle narratively, and you can still tell that she cares about kirito (just not like how she used to). now she’s with him more out of duty, kinda like how she helped inoda early on. which again just proves she's still that same sweet & caring asuna, but just with some new memories added

Wouldn't a sweet and caring girl try to talk to Kirito about sex or try to solve Kirito's sex problem? No, I don't think so. Asuna extremely hypocritically withdrew from this problem, then justifies her betrayal of Kirito with maternal instinct and pity for Inode. This in no way falls under the definition of "sweet and caring." Unfortunately, she communicated with Inoda precisely because he helped with her dissatisfaction (otherwise she would have sent him to fuck off after the "lustful night"), then she fell in love with Inoda (although here we can assume that it's all about PTSD, erased memory and the fact that Asuna replaced the concept of "love" and "good sex").

Fujino completely transformed the image of Asuna from the original novel, and all the remnants of the real Asuna died in the first part, when she agreed to show Inoda her tits (or when she jerked off to him in the medical office, depending on who the level of infidelity is acceptable for).

Everything that is said in the status about loving and caring for Kirito is not visually confirmed in any way, even Suguha, in her rare appearances on the screen, cares about Kirito more, than Asuna.
