We need to be careful when discussing the new work, or we'll risk drawing the forum moderators' anger again.
It's true that SAO is a hugely popular IP, but there are also many people coming here asking what the original work is about and whether they need to watch/read it to understand this game. I don't think the subject matter is the biggest challenge for Fujino's new work—it's the creativity in other aspects. Many people are already tired of the plot tropes in this current work, so how can Fujino write a more original story in the new one? I think it's going to be very difficult.

Fujino made poll on patreon sometime back asking his PAYING supporters what they are into so if anything he is going to consider that when making new game not people here.

Watching her in anime from SAO i had got a feeling she was good in Rapier figthing, leveled her cooking skills to the max. But even then, she was not a thief or rogue class with lockpicking skills kind of character...
So actually making her captured makes sense to me. I skipped some of episodes when they got into Aincrad. This rescue of her mission was just boring. Like a classic boring anime.
What i don't understand is that did they (Asuna and Kirito as elfs) inherit all of the skills or levels from SAO in the Aincrad or not?

He could do more dungeons and artifact hunting. He could do some non-visible to CucKirito tattoos on Asuna-biatch body, but visible to Player and Rapist Inoda. He could do some cursed equipment (again, masked or non-visible to MC in FOG). There could be traps also - but we don't have them. This equipment could influence her, or people around her, or just the Rapist.
There is always a way to spice things up. I would love to take her on the dungeon and be able to walk into every single trap to see the effects, on purpose!
But instead, we have one single item corrupting her - Rapist Inoda Big Fat Rod (some complex Fujiro?). Ahaha!

And she was created to support Kirito or to create a situation in which Kirito, protecting Asuna, would begin to surpass himself. The image of Asuna is a universal image of an ideal partner who does not get ahead, a stable romantic interest who will always support her lover, a girl in trouble who motivates the MC to act. In short, Asuna is one of the main catalysts of events, and no matter how far she fades into the background, she's always there. Remember Asuna from Alisization. She's literally the perfect wife who dropped everything, came to the virtual world, pulled Kirito out of a "coma" and spent 200 years with him in the virtual world, and you're saying she's losing her position? No.

Once again, Asuna is the perfect supporting character for Kirito, and no matter how far she goes, she's always there. It's not for nothing that there are so many scenes in ranobe where Kirito calls Asuna or communicates with her in the virtual world, even if Asuna is not in the main plot, as was the case in GGO.

So relax, bro!

Even if Reki Kawahara had really entrusted Fujino with the creation of NTR fan fiction based on SAO, I would have cherished the hope that he would not have allowed Fujino to write such a poor synopsis and plot. I think Kawahara would have left Fujino with the technical and visual work, and the plot would have been written by himself, and it would obviously have been more exciting than blind Kirito, hypocritical Asuna and fat gigachade Inoda. Moreover, I think that Kawahara Reki would hardly approve of adding an original character, since there are many NTR characters in SAO itself. Kawahara can take any participant of the "Laughing Coffin" and write a story about lustful drugs and Kirito's revenge. This is even better than what gave out (threw up) Fujino.

You’re literally proving my point. You keep repeating that Asuna is “the perfect supporting character” and “always there,” but that’s exactly why she’s a weakly written character in the first place. Her entire role boils down to being Kirito’s eternal cheerleader, and whenever Kawahara runs out of ideas, he just shelves her until he needs her again. That’s not strength, that’s narrative convenience.
And about Alicization, yeah, she spent 200 years with Kirito in the virtual world, but how much of that did we actually see? Barely anything. Kawahara throws in these “perfect wife” tags because he knows fans eat it up, but he never develops her beyond that.
If Kawahara had really wanted to do ntr, he wouldn’t need Laughing Coffin or drugs or revenge arcs. He’d just need to lean into the cracks he already wrote into Asuna’s character, her jealousy, her dependence on Kirito, and her insecurity about losing him. Fujino didn’t invent those flaws, he just took the mask off
