I bought my PC during the middle ages. I've just tried the game for the first time and it's quite choppy. Is there any in-game settings I can change to make it run smoother or is the game just built for more modern PC's?

You don't need a high-end PC. But yes, it does have to be fairly modern. And that's probably the case with almost all games that are currently in development. So, with a PC that's 10 years old or older, you probably won't be able to run it smoothly

Modern or not is relative. You need just a certain amount of resources in some categories.

• CPU with 4 cores should be enough for such games
• System RAM min. 16GiB
• GPU class should be not much below average with min. 4GiB RAM (Radeon 6500/Geforce 3050 or better)

This would be a PC with slightly below average specs in the main categories. Add a solid mid-range 1 TiB M2 PCIe SSD as system/OS drive to round it up.

A bit more is surely better to be a bit future safe.

I just switched off some of the option features like flashing or whatever it was and that worked a treat. Enjoying the game so far except for the fighting. I'm sure I will get used to it but it's not a nice battle system at the moment.

i don't understand this game. (I don't mean how it is played). Every NTL game had a story that built up. It was like a book, you wanted to know from version to version what would happen next. It was exciting and interesting. The relationships of the characters built up bit by bit and in the end you had every woman in bed. All this is no longer the case in Symphony of the Serpent. the story develops far too slowly. New characters are added every version, the relationship between the individual characters doesn't grow up at all. there are just more and more new characters added. so far there are already more than 10 character stories that have been started and are all completely at the beginning. and the characters are boring. Every update only adds 5 minutes to the game time. I have the feeling that the story is progressing so slowly on purpose in order to collect more months of Patreon money. instead of advancing individual character stories and developing the overall story further, there are always new characters where the story is completely at the beginning. should we wait until the end of 2025 until it gets interesting? I don't understand how NTL, which has made such great games, is suddenly doing everything completely differently. in the long run, NTL will be massively demage by this. before anyone complains (I have supported NTL on patreon for a very long time)

I can't say anything about this, since I only watched the introduction of the game and checked the locations on the global map. Personally, I will play when it is completely finished, and before that it probably won't be entirely correct to judge the quality of the game. After all, I also tried to play ToN when it was just starting and quickly abandoned it, since it seemed to me that it was a stupid grinder, and in general don't like games on this engine. But a few months ago I tried again and finished the game in one go, and a couple of weeks later I also finished TGO (by the way, I think that it is not worse than ToN, although many on this forum for some reason scold it).
Therefore, I will wait until SoS is finished and only then will form a final opinion about it. In principle, in each of his new games, the developer expands and refines something, he definitely does not stagnate and this should also be appreciated. So hope that in his next project he will add more choices and make a full open world.

It's not a perfect solution for us yet, but we're working on the details.

Friends, Fellow Degenerates as of today, we're leaving the 768p-Version behind us (Rest in ) and spoiling our little eyes with razor-sharp 2K .

I work in the scientific medical field and have read many papers on these topics.
The studies come to the conclusion: Tits in 2K are better than 768p and help against depression.
And your well-being is very important to us!
